Recently, Redmi confirmed that it will be launching the Redmi 10 Prime on September 3rd in India. Ahead of its launch, the smartphone was teased repeatedly. Last time, the Global VP of Xiaomi, Mr. Manu Kumar Jain teased the processor of the smartphone and now, he’s back with another teaser. This time around, he has confirmed the battery size of the Redmi 10 Prime.

According to Manu, the upcoming Redmi 10 Prime will pack a mammoth 6,000mAh battery. Interestingly, it is claimed to be the lightest 6,000mAh phone. Additionally, the teaser also confirms that the phone will feature both standard fast charging support as well as reverse fast charging support.

Moreover, the teaser showcases the phone’s front panel. The smartphone features a punch-hole display with slim bezels. Unfortunately, we didn’t learn anything other than these specs but, we do have its specs, thanks to the previous leaks.

Redmi 10 Prime Specifications

The smartphone will be a successor to the Redmi 9 Prime smartphone. It is touted to come with major improvements over the predecessor. That said, the Redmi 10 Prime will introduce a new design. It is expected to feature a 6.5-inch display with Full-HD+ resolution. It may feature a Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

It is rumored to feature a 50MP primary camera, which will again be a major upgrade over the predecessor, considering that it boasted a 13MP main lens. We can expect other sensors tagging along and one of those could be an ultra-wide-angle lens. It will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G88 SoC coupled with up to 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

Xiaomi has got a new Smart Living conference holding in a few days in India. The company has also released a new teaser suggesting a new Redmi smartphone will be launching in India soon. Already, the product page for the smartphone has gone live on Amazon India and Mi.com.

While the exact launch date wasn’t explicitly disclosed, a countdown timer on Mi.com/in falls on September 3rd at 12.30 PM. The teaser also contains features of the smartphone including adaptive display, MediaTek Helio processor, and more. These are indications that the smartphone in question is the Redmi 10. The device is expected to be launched in India as Redmi 10 Prime. For the past few days, Redmi India has been teasing a couple of numbers on Twitter which are all prime numbers, an indication that the upcoming device will be the Redmi 10 Prime.

The Redmi 10 was recently announced packing a 6.5-inch IPS LCD screen with an FHD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. The display also comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G88 processor paired with 4GB/6GB LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB and 128GB expandable storage options.

The Redmi 10 packs a 50MP main rear camera teaming up with an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. At the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera. The phone also features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and runs on MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11. Keeping the lights on is a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging, 9W reverse wired charging.

The Redmi 10 Prime will be sold via Amazon.in and mi.com as well as on offline stores across India. The price is yet to be disclosed but it is expected to be priced closer to Rs. 10,000 range.
