The Redmi 10X has been considered an unusual name since we are having the Redmi 9 series this year. But the rumours have continued to gain ground with the phone said to be a rebranded Redmi Note 9 for the Chinese market. However, the Google Play Console listing suggests otherwise.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Xiaomi-Redmi-10X.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-319194" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Xiaomi-Redmi-10X.jpg?x44794" alt="Xiaomi Redmi 10X" width="570" height="570" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Xiaomi-Redmi-10X.jpg 570w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Xiaomi-Redmi-10X-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Xiaomi-Redmi-10X-300x300.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Xiaomi-Redmi-10X-420x420.jpg 420w" sizes="(max-width: 570px) 100vw, 570px" /></a></p>
<p>The listing shows that the Redmi 10X 4G would bear the codename Merlin and will feature a MediaTek Helio G70 processor instead of the Helio G85 chipset that’s powering the Redmi Note 9. The processor is bundled with a Mali G52 GPU firing up the graphics. The smartphone will also come with 3GB RAM but we expect other options. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/redmi-10x-google.jpeg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-321699" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/redmi-10x-google.jpeg?x44794" alt="" width="1060" height="592" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/redmi-10x-google.jpeg 1060w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/redmi-10x-google-300x168.jpeg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/redmi-10x-google-768x429.jpeg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/redmi-10x-google-1024x572.jpeg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/redmi-10x-google-696x389.jpeg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/redmi-10x-google-752x420.jpeg 752w" sizes="(max-width: 1060px) 100vw, 1060px" /></a></p>
<p>This device can easily be confused with the Redmi 9 which is expected to pack a similar specs lineup. However, the presence of an FHD+ resolution of 1080×2340 pixels should do the trip in distinguishing them as separate entities. The device will run on Android 10.</p>
<p>However, we won&#8217;t put all our cards on this one since the source isn&#8217;t given. So take this with a grain of salt.</p>
