In July, Xiaomi had launched the Redmi 6 series of smartphones which includes Redmi 6A, Redmi 6 and Redmi 6 Pro in China. Today, the Chinese manufacturer has introduced the Redmi 6 series in India. Except for the Redmi 6 Pro that features a notched screen that supports 19:9 aspect ratio, the Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A phones are fitted with an aspect ratio of 18:9.

Xiaomi Redmi 6A, and Redmi 6 Specifications and Features

The Redmi 6A and Redmi 6 smartphones measure 147.5 x 71.5 x 8.3mm and they weigh nearly 145 grams. The Redmi 6 is fitted with IPS LCD screen of 5.45 inches. It carries support for HD+ resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels. The Redmi 6A also features the same display.

The Redmi 6A features the 12nm MediaTek Helio A22 chipset that includes 2.0 GHz quad-core processor. This helps the phone score over 63000+ on AnTuTu, way higher than Redmi 5A. On the other side, the Helio P22 SoC which includes 2.0 GHz octa-core processor powers the Redmi 6. The Redmi 6 and 6A phones feature 3,000mAh batteries.

The Redmi 6A has a single rear camera of 13-megapixel and a frontal shooter of 5-megapixel.

The Redmi 6 has f/2.2 aperture 12-megapixel + f/2.2 aperture 5-megapixel dual camera setup on its rear and a selfie snapper of 5-megapixel.

Redmi 6 Pro Specifications and Features

The Redmi 6 Pro is the most advanced phone in the Redmi 6 family. It features a 5.84-inch IPS LCD screen that supports Full HD+ resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels. The good old Snapdragon 625 SoC is the driving force of the smartphone. It includes a big battery of 4,000mAh capacity.

The Redmi 6 Pro borrows the same dual camera setup that is available on the Redmi 6. It also features a selfie shooter of 5-megapixel.

The Redmi 6 series of smartphones are preinstalled with Android 8.1 Oreo and the latest version of MIUI 9.6 (MIUI 10 coming soon). These phones are equipped with hybrid SIM slot which means users can either use a microSD card or a SIM card on the second SIM slot. The Redmi 6 lineup are packed with usual features such as dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, microUSB and 3.5mm audio jack. The Redmi 6 family members sport metallic bodies with an arc design.

The Redmi 6 and 6 Pro feature rear-mounted fingerprint scanners but the Redmi 6A skips on this sensor.

Nubia Z18 Specs and Live Streaming Details

Launch Information: As we reported couple of days ago, the Nubia Z18 is launching today at an event in Beijing, China. The launch will take place at 2:30 Beijing Time (GMT +8:30 / IST 11:00 AM). Users can watch the live streaming over at the official portal.

Specs: Nubia Z18 has been leaked from a long time and most of the details about the device are now live. It is expected to carry Snapdragon 845 on board with famous Waterdrop Notch. Nubia Z18 packs 5.99 inch of Bezelless 18:9 display and  64/128 GB of UFS 2.1 flash memory with 3350 mAh of Battery. It is expected to have dual 24+8 MP camera on the backside and 8 MP on the front.

It is expected to arrive in two different color variants, Red and Black. Nubia Z18 Van Gogh special edition will also be making debut at its launch.

Honor 8X Launch Live Streaming and specs

Launch Information: Honor 8X along with 8X max  will be unveiled today at an event in China at 7:00 PM beijing Time (GT +7:00/ IST 4:30 PM). Honor Band 4 is also launching today.  Users can watch here the live streaming of Honor 8X launching event.

Specs: Honor 8X will come powered with a 2.2 GHz octa-core processor which can be Snapdragon 660 with 4/6 GB of RAM. Honor 8X also packs Waterdrop Notch with above 90% Screen-To-Body Ratio. There will be two different storage variants, 64 GB and 128 GB with 4 GB and 6GB RAM respectively. There will be a dual camera having 20MP+2MP shooter on the back and 16 MP front camera for selfies. In the connectivity department,Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, AGPS, WiFi, WiFi Direct and LTE will be available. It will have Fingerprint camera on the backside and will run on Android 8.1 Oreo.  Honor 8X Max carry same specs but with the bigger display and 16MP+2MP dual camera setup. Honor 8X will arrive in four different colors like Black, Red, Blue and Light purple. On the Other hand, 8X Max will come with Enchanting Red, Enchanting Blue and Magic Night Black color variants. It will be priced more than $300 in China.

Xiaomi Redmi 6 (India) Series launch Live Streaming and Specs

Launch Information: Xiaomi is all set to launch at 12:00 PM just after the Poco F1 Flash sale in India. Users can watch the livestream at the Mi Website with the live streaming starting at 12:30 PM IST (6:50 GMT/2:30 PM Beijing Time) .

Specs: As far as the specs are concerned, Xiaomi Redmi 6 series runs on MIUI 9 which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo. Inside, the Xiaomi Redmi 6 is powered by an octa-core 12nm MediaTek Helio P22 SoC having 3/4 GB RAM options.

Redmi 6A  is the entry level device with 3 GB RAM only other specs are same as above.

Redmi 6 is a mid range device with 3GB RAM clocked to both 32GB and 64GB variants. IT will be available in colors like Black, Blue, Gold and Rose Gold.

Redmi 6 Pro is the most powerful device in the Redmi 6 series. It will have 3/4 GB of RAM and a dual camera setup, 12+5 MP camera on the backside and 5MP camera on the front. It’s display measures 5.45 inch with a display resolution of 720×1440 pixels. It will be available in two different variants 32GB/64GB internal storage.  The Redmi 6 measures in at 147.5×71.5×8.3mm, and weighs 146 grams. It is powered by a 3000mAh battery.

Pricing of Redmi  6 , 6A and 6 Pro will be between 549 Yuan ($80/INR 5,756) to 1,249 Yuan ($183/INR12999). Let’s keep an eye at the launch which is scheduled for September 5th. The device will be exclusively available via Flipkart.
