<p><span style="font-weight: 400">The latest system update for these smartphones is in the stable Beta phase. In other words, the software builds are only available for a select few users. However, they should reach all the units (including international variants) in the coming days.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">The Xiaomi Mi MAX 3 launched in 2018 with </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/MIUI-9/"><span style="font-weight: 400">MIUI 9</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> based on Android 8.0 Oreo. After its release, the handset was updated to MIUI 10, </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/MIUI-11/"><span style="font-weight: 400">MIUI 11</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">, as well as </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/MIUI-12/"><span style="font-weight: 400">MIUI 12</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">. It even received Android 9.0 Pie and Android 10 upgrades. Now, it is getting its last major update in the form of MIUI 12.5. We don’t think it will receive MIUI 13, as per </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Xiaomi/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Xiaomi</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">’s update track record.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">On the other hand, the Redmi 7 debuted in 2019 with </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/MIUI-10/"><span style="font-weight: 400">MIUI 10</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> based on Android 9.0 Pie. The device was later updated to MIUI 11 and MIUI 12. It even received an </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Android-10/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Android 10</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> upgrade. The MIUI 12 update for this phone was </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/12/08/miui-12-update-cancelled-redmi-y3-7-6-6a/"><span style="font-weight: 400">initially canceled</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">. But the company delivered it nevertheless, in addition to MIUI 12.5. It will be also not eligible for </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/MIUI-13/"><span style="font-weight: 400">MIUI 13</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> update.</span></p>
