Today, Redmi unveiled the Redmi A1 alongside the Redmi 11 Prime and Redmi 11 Prime 5G in India. It has been launched as the first device in the brand’s latest Redmi A series of entry-level smartphones. However, the company may soon bring a new A-series handset, dubbed Redmi A1+. It has already been listed on various certification sites. In a new update, the device has appeared on the Google play console website, hinting at some of its key specifications.

MySmartPrice has spotted the Redmi A1+ on the Google Play console website. The listing suggests it will be powered by the MediaTek MT6761 SoC, which is Helio A22. The chipset will be paired with 2GB of RAM and a PowerVR GE8300 GPU.

As per the listing, Redmi A1+ will have a water-drop notch display. It will offer an HD+ resolution of 720x 1600 pixels. Further, the phone is listed to run Android 12 out of the box. It is expected to run clean stock Android without any software skin.

Judging from the specs, the device will likely be launched as an entry-level smartphone. Redmi A1+ will likely be priced under Rs. 8,000 ($100). We expect it will carry a design similar to the Redmi A1. Redmi is yet to confirm any details about the device. The company may announce the device soon.

As mentioned, Redmi A1 debuted in India today. The device came with a 6.52-inch LCD display. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio A22 chipset coupled with LPDDR4x RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage. Redmi is gearing up to launch the Redmi A1 smartphone on September 6th. The smartphone will launch alongside the Redmi 11 5G and the Redmi 11. The design of the device has already been revealed via an Amazon microsite. And now, the complete spec sheet and price point of the device have been tipped.

According to tipster Yogesh Brar, the upcoming Redmi A1 will be priced under Rs. 10,000 in India. As for the display, it will be a 6.5-inch HD+ (1,600x720p) TFT panel. Under the hood, the device will have a MediaTek Helio A22 chipset complemented by 2GB RAM and 32GB of storage. There are rumors for a 3GB RAM variant as well. The device will have expandable storage via a microSD card slot.

Moving on, the device will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging capabilities and will ship with Android 12 pre-installed.

As for optics, a 91mobilesHindi report states that the phone could include dual rear cameras with an 8MP (f/2.0) primary sensor and an f/2.2 Auxiliary sensor. It could have a 5MP (f/2.2) camera on the front for selfies and video calling. Portrait mode, time-lapse, short video, and other camera capabilities will be available on the Redmi A1. Having said that, it appears that the Redmi A1 will not include a fingerprint scanner.

It will have a 220733SL model number in Europe, 220733SG in the global market, and 220733SI in the Indian market.
