<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/xiaomi/">Xiaomi</a> has added a new model to its entry-level lineup in India, and this one brings a small change to the naming as well. The Redmi A7 Pro 5G is now official, marking the first time a “Pro” tag shows up in the A-series. At a glance, the focus is pretty clear. This phone is all about size and battery, rather than pushing performance.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/9bcba5250bbbec80ad3006bfc908c43e-1024x576.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-734627" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/9bcba5250bbbec80ad3006bfc908c43e-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/9bcba5250bbbec80ad3006bfc908c43e-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/9bcba5250bbbec80ad3006bfc908c43e-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/9bcba5250bbbec80ad3006bfc908c43e-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/9bcba5250bbbec80ad3006bfc908c43e-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/9bcba5250bbbec80ad3006bfc908c43e-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/9bcba5250bbbec80ad3006bfc908c43e-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/9bcba5250bbbec80ad3006bfc908c43e.jpg 1600w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>You get a 6.9-inch HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Resolution is still on the lower side, but for everyday use, scrolling, videos, it should feel good enough. Xiaomi has also added triple TUV Certifications for Low Blue Light, Flicker-Free viewing, and Circadian-friendly tuning to ensure a comfortable visual experience.</p>

<p>Under the hood, it runs on the Unisoc T8300, paired with 4GB RAM and up to 8GB of virtual RAM. Storage goes up to 128GB and can be expanded via microSD, so there’s some flexibility there.</p>

<p>The phone packs a 6,300mAh battery, which should easily last a full day, and likely longer for lighter users. Charging is capped at 15W, so topping it up will take some time.</p>

<p>Cameras are fairly basic. A 32MP main sensor on the back, plus an 8MP front camera. Enough for casual use, but clearly not the highlight here.</p>

<p>On the software side, it runs HyperOS 3 based on Android 16, and Xiaomi is promising up to four years of OS updates and six years of security patches. That’s actually quite solid for this segment. Other bits include a side fingerprint sensor, headphone jack, USB-C, and IP52 rating for basic dust and splash protection.</p>

<p><strong>Pricing and availability:</strong></p>

<p>Pricing starts at ₹11,499 for the 4GB + 64GB model, going up to ₹12,499 for 128GB. Sales begin April 15 across Xiaomi’s website, Amazon, and offline stores.</p>

<p>While this is a straightforward budget phone, the camera island design makes it look much more expensive than it is, which could be a big selling point for many.</p>

The company is finally bringing the model to India on April 13th — next Monday. </p>

<p>The teaser says Redmi A7 Pro is the “King of Power and Style.” Here’s what you can expect from the device. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="321" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Redmi-A7-Pro-5G-India-Launch-Revealed.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-733373" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Redmi-A7-Pro-5G-India-Launch-Revealed.jpg 321w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Redmi-A7-Pro-5G-India-Launch-Revealed-161x300.jpg 161w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Redmi-A7-Pro-5G-India-Launch-Revealed-225x420.jpg 225w" sizes="(max-width: 321px) 100vw, 321px" /></figure></div>

<h2><strong>Redmi A7 Pro Specifications</strong></h2>

<p>The Redmi A7 Pro comes with a 6.9-inch IPS LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a 12nm Unisoc T7250 processor, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Software is handled by Android 16-based Xiaomi HyperOS 3. In day-to-day use, this setup is enough for basic tasks like apps, social media, and light multitasking, but it is not meant for heavy gaming.</p>

<p>In terms of camera, the Redmi A7 Pro comes with a 13-megapixel AI dual rear setup and an 8-megapixel front camera. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Screenshot-2026-03-26-005350.png?x44794" alt="" /></figure></div>

<p>The device centers around a 6000mAh battery designed for extended usage across streaming, browsing, and calls. It charges at 15W, which isn’t fast by 2026 standards, but this is what you get in this segment.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The smartphone comes in four color options: Black, Blue, Green, and Orange. The latter features a distinctive wavy rear panel. Fortunately, Redmi has teased this exact model in a teaser, although we are not sure if the company has all the remaining options for India.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In Italy, the Redmi A7 Pro pricing starts at €129.90 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage version. The 4GB RAM and 128GB model is priced at €149.90. Prices in Europe are usually higher, so we can expect the device to launch at around Rs 10,000 in India.&nbsp;</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/XIAOMI/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi</a> has brought the Redmi A7 Pro to Europe, with Italy being the first market after its <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/02/28/redmi-a7-pro-launched-indonesia-6000mah-battery-120hz-display-price/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">earlier launch in Malaysia</a>. The phone had already appeared on certification listings last month, so this release was expected. It runs on HyperOS 3, which is now making its way even to Xiaomi’s budget devices.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Screenshot-2026-03-26-005350.png?x44794" alt="Redmi A7 Pro" class="wp-image-732033" width="854" height="767" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Screenshot-2026-03-26-005350.png 775w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Screenshot-2026-03-26-005350-300x269.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Screenshot-2026-03-26-005350-768x690.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Screenshot-2026-03-26-005350-696x625.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Screenshot-2026-03-26-005350-468x420.png 468w" sizes="(max-width: 854px) 100vw, 854px" /></figure></div>

<p>The biggest focus here is battery life. The Redmi A7 Pro packs a 6000mAh battery, which should comfortably last through a full day of regular use, including streaming, browsing, and calls. Charging is limited to 15W, so it is not fast, but that is in line with what you usually get at this price.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image_1774466727086-1024x769.jpg?x44794" alt="Redmi A7 Pro" class="wp-image-732035" width="883" height="663" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image_1774466727086-1024x769.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image_1774466727086-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image_1774466727086-768x576.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image_1774466727086-696x522.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image_1774466727086-1068x802.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image_1774466727086-560x420.jpg 560w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image_1774466727086-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image_1774466727086-265x198.jpg 265w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image_1774466727086.jpg 1439w" sizes="(max-width: 883px) 100vw, 883px" /></figure></div>

<p>The display is a 6.9-inch IPS LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. That is a noticeable upgrade in this segment, where many phones still stick to 60Hz or 90Hz. Scrolling and general navigation feel smoother, even if the panel itself is still an LCD.</p>

<p>Under the hood, the phone uses the Unisoc T7250 processor built on a 12nm process. It comes with up to 8GB RAM and up to 128GB storage. In day-to-day use, this setup is enough for basic tasks like apps, social media, and light multitasking, but it is not meant for heavy gaming.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image_1774466773044-1024x1024.jpg?x44794" alt="Redmi A7 Pro" class="wp-image-732034" width="824" height="824" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image_1774466773044-1024x1024.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image_1774466773044-300x300.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image_1774466773044-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image_1774466773044-768x768.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image_1774466773044-1536x1536.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image_1774466773044-696x696.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image_1774466773044-1068x1068.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image_1774466773044-420x420.jpg 420w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image_1774466773044.jpg 1600w" sizes="(max-width: 824px) 100vw, 824px" /></figure></div>

<p>On the camera side, Xiaomi has included a 13-megapixel dual rear setup with AI features, along with an 8-megapixel front camera. The AI processing helps improve shots in different lighting conditions, which is important for a phone in this category.</p>

<p>Design is another area where Xiaomi is trying to stand out. The phone is available in Black, Blue, and Green. An Orange variant is also available in other regions. It has a wavy texture on the back, which gives it a slightly different feel compared to the usual plain finishes.</p>

<p>Pricing in Italy starts at <a href="https://www.mi.com/it/product/redmi-a7-pro/buy/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">€129.90</a> for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage version. The 4GB RAM and 128GB model is priced at <a href="https://www.mi.com/it/product/redmi-a7-pro/buy/?gid=4223715790" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">€149.90</a>. Both variants are available in Black, Mist Blue, and Palm Green.</p>

<p>Xiaomi&#8217;s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/redmi/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Redmi</a> sub-brand has introduced the A7 Pro 4G in Indonesia, targeting budget-conscious consumers with practical specifications and aggressive pricing.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="819" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/HCJzqslbEAAGC1d-819x1024.jpg?x44794" alt="Redmi A7 Pro" class="wp-image-728991" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/HCJzqslbEAAGC1d-819x1024.jpg 819w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/HCJzqslbEAAGC1d-240x300.jpg 240w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/HCJzqslbEAAGC1d-768x960.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/HCJzqslbEAAGC1d-696x870.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/HCJzqslbEAAGC1d-1068x1335.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/HCJzqslbEAAGC1d-336x420.jpg 336w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/HCJzqslbEAAGC1d.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 819px) 100vw, 819px" /></figure></div>

<p>The device centers around a 6000mAh battery designed for extended usage across streaming, browsing, and calls. It charges at 15W, balancing capacity with reasonable charging speeds.</p>

<p>Display specs include a 6.9-inch IPS LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, offering smoother scrolling than typical budget alternatives. The Unisoc T7250 processor on 12nm architecture powers the device, coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage running Xiaomi HyperOS.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="819" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/HCJzqseaIAAGr1P-819x1024.jpg?x44794" alt="Redmi A7 Pro" class="wp-image-728990" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/HCJzqseaIAAGr1P-819x1024.jpg 819w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/HCJzqseaIAAGr1P-240x300.jpg 240w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/HCJzqseaIAAGr1P-768x960.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/HCJzqseaIAAGr1P-696x870.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/HCJzqseaIAAGr1P-1068x1335.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/HCJzqseaIAAGr1P-336x420.jpg 336w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/HCJzqseaIAAGr1P.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 819px) 100vw, 819px" /></figure></div>

<p>Camera hardware comprises a 13-megapixel AI dual rear setup and an 8-megapixel front camera. AI enhancements aim to compensate for budget-tier sensors in varying lighting conditions.</p>

<p>Redmi emphasizes design differentiation through four color options: Black, Blue, Green, and Orange. The Orange variant features a distinctive wavy rear panel texture positioned to elevate perceived value beyond the price point.</p>

<p>The phone retails at Rp 1,699,000 (approximately $101). Pre-orders from March 1-7 reduce the price to Rp 1,499,000 (~$90), available through Shopee, Tokopedia, TikTok Shop, Blibli, Lazada, and Akulaku. General availability begins March 13.</p>

<p>Purchase incentives include two months of Spotify Premium Standard subscription. Xiaomi has not announced expansion plans for India or other markets.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/redmi">Redmi</a> is reportedly working on a new A-series phone called the Redmi A7 Pro. While the device was certified by the FCC authority in December 2025, it is only now, through the NBTC (Thailand) and TDRA (UAE) certifications, that the moniker of this device has been confirmed as the Redmi A7 Pro. Here’s a look at what to expect from the device.</p>

<h3><strong>Redmi A7 Pro approved in the UAE, Thailand</strong></h3>

<figure class="wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped">
<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="734" height="451" data-id="725509" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Redmi-A7-Pro-TDRA-listing.png?x44794" alt="Redmi A7 Pro TDRA listing" class="wp-image-725509" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Redmi-A7-Pro-TDRA-listing.png 734w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Redmi-A7-Pro-TDRA-listing-300x184.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Redmi-A7-Pro-TDRA-listing-696x428.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Redmi-A7-Pro-TDRA-listing-684x420.png 684w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Redmi-A7-Pro-TDRA-listing-356x220.png 356w" sizes="(max-width: 734px) 100vw, 734px" /><figcaption>Redmi A7 Pro TDRA listing</figcaption></figure>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="487" height="567" data-id="725508" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Redmi-A7-Pro-NBTC-listing.png?x44794" alt="Redmi A7 Pro NBTC listing" class="wp-image-725508" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Redmi-A7-Pro-NBTC-listing.png 487w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Redmi-A7-Pro-NBTC-listing-258x300.png 258w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Redmi-A7-Pro-NBTC-listing-361x420.png 361w" sizes="(max-width: 487px) 100vw, 487px" /><figcaption>Redmi A7 Pro NBTC listing</figcaption></figure>
</figure>

<p>The Redmi A7 Pro has appeared with the model number 25128RN17Y in TDRA’s database, whereas it has been spotted with the model number 25128RN17A in Thailand. The latter was also seen on Indonesia’s SDPPI certification platform. These listings do not confirm anything about the core specifications of the phone, but the NBTC listing reveals that it will be a 4G LTE phone.</p>

<p>The appearance of the Redmi A7 Pro moniker suggests that the company has decided to skip the Redmi A6 altogether. Therefore, the A7 Pro is the successor to last year’s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-a5/">Redmi A5</a>.</p>

<p>Redmi’s sibling brand Poco is said to be working on the Poco C81 (model number: 25128RN17G). This is expected to be a rebranded version of the Redmi A7 Pro, just as last year’s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-poco-c71/">Poco C71</a> was a rebadged edition of the Redmi A5.</p>

<h3><strong>Redmi A7 Pro key specifications</strong></h3>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="543" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Redmi-A5-featured-1024x543.png?x44794" alt="Redmi A5" class="wp-image-679228" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Redmi-A5-featured-1024x543.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Redmi-A5-featured-300x159.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Redmi-A5-featured-768x407.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Redmi-A5-featured-1536x814.png 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Redmi-A5-featured-696x369.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Redmi-A5-featured-1068x566.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Redmi-A5-featured-792x420.png 792w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Redmi-A5-featured.png 1666w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Redmi A5</figcaption></figure>

<p>As per the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/12/25/redmi-a7-pro-poco-c81-fcc-gsma-listing-specs-reveal/">previously seen FCC listing</a>, the Redmi A7 Pro will arrive with a 6.9-inch LCD panel, which may have a waterdrop notch and support an HD+ resolution. Likely, it will run on Android 15 Go edition.</p>

<p>The device is expected to ship with the Unisoc T7250 chip, which also powered last year’s Redmi A5 and Poco C71. The A7 Pro is expected to ship with 4GB / 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB / 128GB of eMMC storage.</p>

<p>At present, there is no information about the Redmi A7 Pro’s camera details. Under the hood, it is expected to feature a 6,000mAh battery with 15W charging support over the USB-C port.</p>

<p>Xiaomi’s next budget smartphones, under the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/redmi/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Redmi</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/poco/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Poco</a> brands, have made their first appearance on certification sites. We’re talking about the Rsdmi A7 Pro and the Poco C81, which will be nearly identical in terms of hardware but are likely headed to different markets.</p>

<p>Both devices have been listed in GSMA IMEI and FCC listings, which reveal most of their core specifications. The IMEI database confirms that the Redmi A7 Pro carries the model number 25128RN17A, while the Poco C81 uses identifier 25128RN17G.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped">

<p>The near-identical naming confirms their close relationship, but what’s even more interesting is that the fact that Redmi is jumping straight from the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-a5/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Redmi A5</a> to the Redmi A7 Pro. Yes, the company is skipping the Redmi A6 altogether. Poco C81, on the other hand, succeeds <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-poco-c71/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Poco C71</a>. </p>

<h2><strong>Redmi A7 Pro / Poco C81 Specifications&nbsp;</strong></h2>

<p>The FCC listing also confirms that both phones will feature a large display measuring just under seven inches. It’s an IPS LCD panel with a waterdrop notch, which is about as classic budget-phone design as it gets in 2025.</p>

<p>Under the hood, the Redmi A7 Pro and Poco C81 are expected to run on the Unisoc T7250. It’s a 12nm chip with a mix of performance and efficiency CPU cores, paired with a Mali-G57 GPU. </p>

<p>Memory options could top out at 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB or 128GB of slower eMMC storage. On the software side, the phones could ship with Android 15 or the lighter Android 15 Go Edition.</p>

<p>One of the more notable details is the battery. Xiaomi is said to be equipping these phones with a 6,000mAh cell. Charging, however, remains modest at 15W over USB-C, and the certification listings suggest that a charger won’t be included in the box.</p>

<p>Last but not least, there’s no mention of specific sensors, but the phones are expected to feature a single rear camera, keeping things simple. </p>
