They are powered by Dimensity 8000, Snapdragon 870, Dimensity 9000, and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, respectively.</p>
<p>And now, a new report from <a href="https://sparrowsnews.com/2022/01/31/dimensity-will-be-a-little-later-than-the-snapdragon-8-gen1/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>SparrosNews</em></a> has revealed that the K50 Pro+ will be released after the K50 Gaming edition.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-440781 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Redmi-K50-Dimensity-9000-variant-e1643665644971.png?x10805" alt="Redmi K50 Pro+ Dimensity 9000" width="751" height="595" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Redmi-K50-Dimensity-9000-variant-e1643665644971.png 751w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Redmi-K50-Dimensity-9000-variant-e1643665644971-300x238.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Redmi-K50-Dimensity-9000-variant-e1643665644971-696x551.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Redmi-K50-Dimensity-9000-variant-e1643665644971-530x420.png 530w" sizes="(max-width: 751px) 100vw, 751px" /></p>
<p>Redmi GM Lu Weibing took to <a href="https://m.weibo.cn/detail/4731623230933926" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>Weibo</em></a> to tease the upcoming press conference at which the company is poised to launch its next flagship line of devices. Under his blogpost, a Weibo user asked when the company will release the Dimensity 9000 variant of the smartphone to which Lu Weibing replied that it will be released &#8220;A little later than Snapdragon 8.&#8221; A <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/01/21/redmi-k50-series-processors-tipped-reveals-four-cpu-variants/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">recent leak</a> has revealed that the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition will be coming with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset while the Redmi K50 Pro+ will feature the unreleased MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC.</p>
<p>So it appears that the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition will indeed debut before the Redmi K50 Pro+. And as per a previous leak, the device might even be the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/01/12/redmi-k50-gaming-edition-may-be-the-first-to-launch-from-its-lineup/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">first phone</a> to be released in the K50 lineup.</p>
<h4><strong>Redmi K50 Gaming Edition specs (rumored)</strong></h4>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-430335" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Redmi-K50-Gaming-1024x597.jpg?x10805" alt="Redmi K50 Gaming" width="696" height="406" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Redmi-K50-Gaming-1024x597.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Redmi-K50-Gaming-300x175.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Redmi-K50-Gaming-768x448.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Redmi-K50-Gaming-696x406.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Redmi-K50-Gaming-1068x623.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Redmi-K50-Gaming-720x420.jpg 720w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Redmi-K50-Gaming.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p>So far, leaks have <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/01/14/redmi-k50-gaming-specifications-tipped-k50-k50-pro-may-feature-a-side-facing-fingerprint-sensor/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">revealed</a> that the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition will measure 162 x 76.8 x 8.45mm and weigh 210 grams. It houses a 6.67-inch display, which appears to be an OLED curved edge panel that supports a Full HD+ resolution. The screen will have Gorilla Glass Victus protection.</p>
<p>For photography, it will feature a 16-megapixel front camera and a 64-megapixel (main) + 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera unit.</p>
<p>The device will feature a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-gen-1" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC</a> with dual VC liquid cooling which is a premium heat-dissipation system to help keep the temperatures down during intensive gaming. It is also expected to feature a 4,700mAh battery with 120W fast charging which can fill up the battery in just 17 minutes. Additionally, the device will also come equipped with gaming shoulder trigger keys and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.</p>
<p>Redmi has already announced that the K50 series will debut in <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/01/05/redmi-k50-lineup-launch-timeline-key-details-officially-confirmed/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">February 2022</a>. And going by Lu Weibing&#8217;s recent Weibo post, we can expect the launch to occur in the second week of February.</p>

<p>The 3C certification shows the device will come with a staggering 120W fast charge support. The power adaptor has the model number is 21121210C. As usual, the 3C listing doesn&#8217;t reveal any other detail about the device. However, noted tipster Digital Chat Station equally confirmed via a Weibo post that the device will come with 120W super-fast charge support. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/redmi-50.png?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-434449" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/redmi-50.png?x10805" alt="Redmi K50 Gaming Edition" width="642" height="404" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/redmi-50.png 642w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/redmi-50-300x189.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 642px) 100vw, 642px" /></a></p>
<p>The tipster also disclosed that the flagship gaming smartphone will likely be powered by a MediaTek <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/12/16/mediatek-dimensity-9000-power-oppo-redmi-phone/">Dimensity 9000</a> chipset that uses TSMC&#8217;s 4nm process and Armv9 architecture. The chipset comes with a high-performance Cortex-X2 super-large core. The chip uses a flagship 18-bit HDR-ISP image signal processor which enables three cameras to shoot HDR video at the same time with low power consumption.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/redmi-k50.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-434450" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/redmi-k50.jpg?x10805" alt="Redmi K50 Gaming Edition" width="820" height="1093" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/redmi-k50.jpg 820w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/redmi-k50-225x300.jpg 225w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/redmi-k50-768x1024.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/redmi-k50-696x928.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/redmi-k50-315x420.jpg 315w" sizes="(max-width: 820px) 100vw, 820px" /></a></p>
<p>The Redmi K50 Gaming Edition, like the name suggests, will be focused on optimized gaming performance. The device is expected to utilize a centralized punch-hole cut-out with the display protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Victus protective glass. In terms of design, this phone is expected to be similar to the Redmi K40 gaming version, retaining two pop-up shoulder buttons on the right-side bezel.  In addition, this phone is expected to be pre-installed with the MIUI 13 based on Android 12.</p>
