A new report has revealed some interesting details regarding the Redmi K60E. The device is a part of the company’s K60 series, which was recently leaked via tipster Kacper Skryzpek. Now, a new report hints that the device might be a redesigned version of Xiaomi’s existing smartphone models.

The news arrives from Xiaomiui, which claimed that the device might be a reworked version of a Xiaomi 12T or Redmi K50S models. For those unaware, the upcoming K60E model could be a shortened name for the K60 Extreme model. The report claims that this model will be a successor to the Redmi K40S phone with all of the details arriving from MIUI codebase. This codebase also carried the ‘22127RK46C’ model number of the device, which was first shared by the Skryzpek leak that also revealed its ‘Rembrandt’ codename.

As per Xiaomiui, the Redmi K60E might be a redesigned K50S model. Notably, this phone is also a rebranded version of the Xiaomi 12T as well. The Chinese tech giant had rebranded the phone since the Xiaomi 12T model was not launched in China, but was available in certain other regions. It featured a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Ultra SoC, a FHD+ AMOLED display and a 5,000mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging report.

In other words, we can expect the Redmi K60E to feature some of the specifications of the K50S. For example, the company might bump the Dimensity 8100 Ultra to a Dimensity 8200 processor in the Redmi K60E. The report added that the company will only be releasing the K60E smartphone in the Chinese market. So stick around for more updates regarding this phone.

Yesterday, iQOO announced the iQOO 10 and iQOO 10 Pro smartphones in China. Soon after its announcement, Redmi General Manager, Lu Weibing, took to Weibo to tease Redmi’s upcoming flagship phone, which will feature the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip. It looks like the rumoured Redmi K50S series could come out in China as soon as next month (August).

Weibing has teased the arrival of a new K50 series phone with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip onboard. Most likely, he is teasing the release of the Redmi K50S series, which is expected to have the latest chip from Qualcomm.

An upcoming Xiaomi phone with model number 22081212C was spotted at the CMIIT certification last month. The device was approved by China’s 3C authority earlier this month. The 3C listing revealed that the device may arrive with a 120W fast charger. Rumors are rife that this device will be made official with the Redmi K50S Pro moniker in the home market.

Since the Redmi K50S Pro has already bagged 3C certification, it seems it may break cover in August. The model number of the Redmi K50S is 22071212AC. It is yet to bag any certification in China.

The K50S Pro is expected to arrive with a 120Hz OLED display, an SD8+G1 chip, 8 GB / 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. It appears that the K50S Pro may debut as the company’s first smartphone with a 200-megapixel camera. A new leak that has surfaced again hints that the K50S Pro will have a 200-megapixel camera.

As can be seen in the screenshot, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has shared key specifications of an upcoming flagship phone, which is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 (mentioned as SM8475 part number) chip. The leak further mentions that this device is equipped with a 120Hz display, a 200-megapixel camera, and a 5000mAh± battery.

The comments section of the post shows that the tipster is not talking about the Moto X30 Pro, which is expected to debut soon in China as the world’s first 200-megapixel camera phone.

The only other brand that is rumored to launch a 200-megapixel camera phone is Xiaomi. Hence, he seems to be talking about a Xiaomi flagship phone.

The recently unveiled Xiaomi 12S, 12S Pro, and 12S Ultra are all equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. Hence, the company is unlikely to launch another “Xiaomi” branded SD+8G1 phone.

Reports have revealed that the global markets will be receiving the Xiaomi 12T series with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip instead of the Xiaomi 12S series. The 12T and 12T Pro phones are likely to get rebadged as the Redmi K50S and Redmi K50S Pro in China.

Leaked information that surfaced last week revealed that the Xiaomi 12T Pro will have a 200-megapixel camera. This indicates that the Redmi K50S Pro heading to China will also flaunt the same camera. Hence, it appears that the above-mentioned leaked specifications may belong to the Redmi K50S Pro.

The Redmi K50S Pro has already received 3C certification. Hence, it is likely that the Redmi K50S and K50S Pro may go official in August in China.

Readers can visit this dedicated post to learn more about the tablet. The below-shown table was shared by Xiaomiui around two months ago.

As can be seen in the table, Redmi may launch the Redmi K50S (codename: plato; model number: 22081212AC) and Redmi K50S Pro (codename: mayfly; model number: 22081212C) in China. These devices are expected to be rebranded as Xiaomi 12T (model number: 22081212AG) and Xiaomi 12T Pro (model number: 22081212G).

In addition, the global market is expected to receive another variant called the Xiaomi 12T Pro Hypercharge (model number: 22081212UG). This device may possibly support 120W fast charging. The Xiaomi 12T Pro heading to Japan has a 22081212R model number. Readers are advised to take the final marketing names of these devices with a pinch of salt. These devices are not expected to be released in India.

The publication claimed that the Xiaomi 12T will feature the Dimensity flagship chipset, whereas the Xiaomi 12T Pro will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. It appears the same goes for the Redmi K50S and K50S Pro.

The predecessor T-branded phones, such as the Xiaomi Mi 10T series and the Xiaomi 11T lineup, were released in September 2021 and 2020, respectively. Hence, it is likely that the Xiaomi 12T lineup may break cover around the same time this year. As far as the K50S series is concerned, it may launch earlier as it has bagged CMIIT certification.
