The Redmi K60 was announced in late December in China. The phone was recently released in global markets as Poco F5 Pro.

The 12GB + 512GB variant of the handset was introduced at ¥3,299. A little over a month after its release, the brand permanently dropped the price of this version to ¥2,999.

Now, four months later, the smartphone can be had at an even cheaper price. Let’s check out this deal.

Poco F5 Pro for almost half the price

Chinese online retailer JD is offering a crazy discount on the Redmi K60 (12GB + 512GB). Customers can purchase the phone for as low as ¥2,249 (~$315).

The lowest price possible is only applicable to the black color version. Whereas, white, blue, and green color options are available at ¥2,409 (~$340).

Thus, customers in China can get the 12GB + 512GB variant of the Poco F5 Pro at a cheaper price than the starting price (~$365) of Poco F5. Globally, this version of F5 Pro retails at $549.

This deal makes the Poco F5 Pro approximately $235 cheaper in China for a limited time. In other words, the device is available at almost half the price compared to the global variant.

In December 2022, Redmi introduced the K60 series of smartphones exclusively in China. During the initial release, the entry-level model, known as the Redmi K60, was offered with a maximum configuration of 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. However, the brand has now unveiled a new variant of the device, featuring an impressive 1TB storage capacity.

The 16GB + 1TB model is initially priced at 3599 Yuan ($510) in China, but there will be a temporary reduction to 3099 Yuan ($439) during the pre-order period starting at 8 PM tonight in China.

In markets outside of China, the Redmi K60 is marketed as the Poco F5 Pro. It is available in configurations with a maximum of 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. Currently, it is unclear whether the company intends to release a 1TB variant of this device in the global market. Redmi K60 specs

The Redmi K60, a high-end smartphone, boasts a large 6.67-inch 2K display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Poco F5 series is going to be the latest and greatest smartphone lineup from the Xiaomi sub-brand. It will include the Poco F5 and Poco F5 Pro, with the Pro model reportedly not slated to launch in the Indian market. The vanilla model’s launch in India has been teased by the company, but there’s no word on the Pro version yet. It is expected to be a rebranded Redmi K60 series phone but a recent Geekbench listing points to a controversial Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC under its hood.

Poco F5 Pro runs Geekbench with SD 8 Gen 1

Poco F5 Pro should be announced pretty soon but ahead of the release, it has appeared on the Geekbench website with the model number 23013PC75G. Notably, the handset features an octa-core processor with its motherboard codenamed Taro. We know that Taro is the aging Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor.

This is contradictory to previous reports that claimed the Poco F5 Pro will be a rebadged Redmi K60 with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The handset has been listed on Geekbench with 12GB of RAM and an Adreno 730 GPU. It managed to score 1302 and 4080 points in the single-core and multi-core tests.

Let’s get this out of the way— Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is pretty powerful, but it has a bit of a downside. It tends to run hot and drain the battery quicker than you’d like. The chip was developed by Samsung and Qualcomm using Samsung’s 4nm process, but apparently, Qualcomm wasn’t happy with how Samsung was manufacturing the chips. So much so that it switched to TSMC and came out with a new and improved version called the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 around mid-year.

The Poco F5 series is anticipated to go official in the coming days. The lineup is said to include two models, namely Poco F5 and Poco F5 Pro.

As per certifications and MIUI codebase, these devices are nothing but rebranded Redmi Note 12 Turbo and Redmi K60. Hence, they are expected to offer the same set of features.

However, according to a recent certification, the battery inside the Poco F5 Pro will be different from the one underneath the Redmi K60.

The upcoming Poco F5 Pro will be fueled by a 5,160mAh battery. For comparison, the Redmi K60 has a larger 5,500mAh battery.

Apart from a change in the battery capacity, we think that the Poco version of the handset might also miss out on wireless charging. We are still awaiting confirmation on this.

Other than these minute changes, the Poco F5 Pro will most likely share everything else with the Redmi K60. Therefore, it should arrive with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC, LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, and Android 13-based MIUI 14.

Other expected specs include a 6.67-inch QHD+ 120Hz  OLED display, an OIS-assisted 64MP primary camera, dual stereo speakers, an IR blaster, a VC liquid cooling system, and an in-screen fingerprint sensor.

Xiaomi is offering limited-time discounts on two of its popular smartphones in China. The company is providing a price cut of up to ¥300 (~$45) on these handsets.

The devices on offer are Redmi K60 and Xiaomi Civi 2. The deal is only applicable to the 256GB storage variants of these handsets.

Talking about the Redmi K60 first, the offer is only available on JD for this phone. The retailer is providing a discount of ¥300 (~$45). 

Therefore, the 8GB + 256GB and the 12GB + 256GB memory configurations can be purchased at ¥2,599 and ¥2,699, respectively.

On the other hand, the Xiaomi Civi 2 deal is live across multiple channels. But the discount amount is lower at ¥200 (~$30).

Though the above-mentioned smartphones cost about the same, they are targeted at different audiences. The Redmi K60 is for those looking for performance, while the Xiaomi Civi is for those interested in selfies and design.

The main highlights of the Redmi K60 are a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus chipset and a 10-bit 120Hz QHD+ OLED display.  Whereas, the Xiaomi Civi 2 boasts dual 32MP front-facing cameras with quad LED flashlights and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset.

Redmi K60 series, which was launched a couple of months ago, was made available for purchase in the Chinese market a few weeks ago.

Today, Lu Weibing, President of Xiaomi Group and General Manager of the Redmi brand, has announced that the Redmi K60 512GB storage model will be available at a starting price of 2,999 yuan (~$439), offering a discount of 300 yuan (~$44).

The 12GB RAM and 512GB storage model is priced at 2,999 yuan, which is around $439 while the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage is priced at 3,599 yuan, which is about $527.

Lu Weibing also announced that those who purchased the 512GB model will be provided with an insured price that those who purchased it earlier will be fully compensated for the price difference. Further, he adds that those users who purchased the remaining versions will get a Redmi Band 2.

The smartphone features a 6.67-inch OLED display offering a 2K screen resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, coupled with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 flash memory.

The aesthetics of these three phones do not differ too much. If you are looking for the best cameras, then you should go for the Redmi K60 Pro. It has a triple rear camera including a 54 MP main sensor with OIS, an 8 MP ultrawide shooter, and a 2 MP macro lens, as well as a 16 MP selfie snapper. The vanilla Redmi K60 has the same secondary sensors, but with an inferior main camera: a 64 MP shooter with OIS. The Redmi K60E is the most disappointing one because it has a 48 MP main camera with OIS (the secondary sensors remain the same).

The Xiaomi Redmi K60 and Redmi K60 Pro smartphones come with several similarities inside. A teardown video of the two Xiaomi models has highlighted the similarities and differences in their internals.

Xiaomi sold over 300,000 units of the Redmi K60 series within five minutes of its release. The teardown video by Wekihome presents a sneak peek of the K60/ K60 Pro’s internal components. The detailed disassembly video shows that the two phones have striking similarities. This implies a simplified assembly process for the two models. The Redmi K60 Pro has a larger camera sensor than the K60. The vanilla model thus has a plastic bracket around its camera to adjust its dimensions. Both models also have a similar motherboard layout.

The video reveals the two different chipsets of the K60 and K60 Pro. While the base model is equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset while the K60 Pro has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The pro model uses UFS 4.0 from Samsung and Micron’s LPDDR5X RAM. On the other hand, the K60 uses UFS 3.1 and LPDDR5 from Samsung. In terms of heat management, both models use a massive vapor chamber for cooling the chipsets. The sizes of the vapor chambers are slightly different, however.

The Redmi K60 Pro supports 120W wired fast charging and its motherboard has an extra chip for that. Both models sport the Surge P1 charging chip at the bottom. The K60 has a larger battery size than its pro sibling. The K60 also has a larger battery capacity but both models could offer similar battery performance.

The Xiaomi Redmi K60 and K60 Pro were released in December 2022. They both got a tumultuous reception in the market and the flagship K60 Pro model offers up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

Since Xiaomi’s flagship phones have become more and more expensive, Redmi has taken on the mission of being the “Flagship Killer”. Their K series, in particular, is even more worthy than Xiaomi’s flagship series. And this year’s K60 looks really appealing. Come on, let’s see how much impact this $360 phone can really bring to the cell phone market in 2023.

Design

K60 is not much outstanding in design and looks rather ordinary. That’s why we purposely bought this blue vegan leather version. The vegan leather back panel has a stitched texture that looks a bit like the Vivo X Note. The vegan leather material really makes the budget phone look like a flagship, also lighter.

But it’s really confusing that this vegan leather is only available in the standard version, but not in the more expensive Pro version. From the top frame, there are IR emitters and dual speakers, but no headphone jack. The speakers are relatively loud and the volume is consistent from left to right. Even without the Harman Kardon tuning, I think it’s still great. The sound quality you can hear for yourself in the video.

Display

If I’m right, you bought the K60 for the screen, right? Indeed, this screen, like the K50, is unbeatable in its price range. And you can only get to know how good the super high resolution and straight screen are by getting it in your hand. Look at these specs, I couldn’t believe it till right now.

The difference with the K50 is that the manufacturer of the screen this time is China Star Optoelectronics Technology, not Samsung. The advantage is that the peak brightness is higher, and there is no side view color shift problem like Samsung E5 or E6 panels. The higher frequency PWM dimming also means less eye irritation. The downside is that the peak brightness is not as good as the latest Samsung E6 panel, and the screen protection glass on this K60 is no longer Corning Victus. So all in all, the K50 and K60 screens are about the same level.

Benchmark & Gaming

This time the K60 Standard Edition is no longer MediaTek’s mid-range chip, but Snapdragon’s previous generation flagship chip, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. I’ve laid out all its Benchmark scores, and you can see that except for Antutu, all other scores are a little lower for the K60. Sadly, this is not an error. According to the official website, the K60’s largest core frequency is a bit lower than even last year’s 8+ Gen 1 phones. Yes, that’s the reason for its low score, you can think of the K60 as having an 8+ Gen 1 Lite processor instead of the regular 8+ Gen 1.

But don’t be too sad, the good news is that the gaming performance is still strong. From the test results, the Genshin Impact performs in line with the normal 8+ Gen 1 phone performance. And because of that extra-large VC heat sink inside the K60, not only does it not overheat in games but so does in the CPU Throttling test, which is even more stable than the Xiaomi 12S Ultra. In other words, the K60’s 8+ Gen 1 looks different from other phones, but it works the same. So don’t get too hung up on the processor frequency issue, it’s still a good gaming phone.

Camera

Although Redmi says that the K60 series has an upgraded camera system this time, they are talking about the Pro version and the standard version still performs average. Let me quickly summarize its camera performance with you. The colors are rich and have high contrast in most scenes. Clarity is also good, and it doesn’t blur even when zoomed in 2x when there’s enough light. The dynamic range of both lenses will be substantially improved after the night mode is on. But with the ultra-wide angle camera at night the clarity is significantly reduced, like other budget phones.

All in all, the main camera can handle most scenes, the ultra-wide angle camera is only recommended for use during the day.

The rear camera still supports 8K 24fps for the main camera and 1080P 30fps for the ultra-wide camera. the main camera image quality is not bad, stable and clear, but the ultra-wide image quality really makes me not want to use it to record video twice. The front camera is interesting, supporting up to 1080P 60fps. Much better than the Xiaomi 13.

Battery & Charging

The battery capacity and charging power is the same as last year’s K50, both 67w and 5500mAh. Although the charging power is the same as the Xiaomi 13, the larger battery makes it take longer to fully charge.

But the big battery has its advantages. When compared to the 12S Ultra, which also uses 8+ Gen 1, the benefits of a larger battery are obvious. If you adjust the resolution to FHD+ and down the refresh rate, you get a high-performance phone that can be used for two days without charging.

Since there are more new phones released recently and I took some time off because of COVID, we didn’t have time to do K60E’s Full review. Here is a table that compares in detail the differences between it and other K series phones. In fact, considering that the price difference between K60E and K60 is not much, and Dimensity 8200 is not much improved compared to 8100, I would recommend other K series phones. And this K60, with its low enough price, I believe it will be the best-selling model in the Redmi family for a long time.

MIUI 14 has an improved interconnection experience with faster speeds thanks to the optimization of its full-link algorithm. The transmission speed increase is 77%. The update brings a more stable and streamlined experience to users of the Redmi K60 series.

The new cooling case for the Redmi K60 claims to lower the temperature of the device by as much as 4 degrees Celsius.

According to rumours, Redmi used the same-segment heat technology of the flagship phone for the first time to enhance the phone’s outer cover. The temperature of the new phase composite material is changed from solid to liquid dual state, and actual long-acting heat is diffused while the heat is conveyed quickly.

According to the theory, as soon as the mobile phone’s temperature increases, the composite material quickly absorbs the heat and melts, bringing down the phone’s peak temperature. In order to help mobile phones cool down rapidly, maintain high energy output, and be more comfortable with high-loading scenes like games and videos, officials highlighted that efficient solid-liquid distributes heat in dissipation. This is similar to summoning a “bonus patch” for mobile phones.

The back of the Redmi mobile phone’s fuselage cools by 4°C after an hour of testing thanks to its ice-sensing heat protection cover, and it actually cooled down quickly. The price of the ice-sensing heat protection case in Xiaomi Mall is CNY 79, or around $11.

Recent Redmi K60 Pro teasers have shown that it will have enough power to compete with other Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 flagship phones on the market. A new poster from the company confirms that the Redmi K60 Pro will be able to charge wirelessly.

The company hasn’t said how fast the Redmi K60 Pro will be able to charge wirelessly. Rumors are rife that the Redmi K60 Pro as well as the Redmi K60 will support wireless charging. Reports have revealed that the Redmi K60 and K60 Pro will support 67W wired charging. The Redmi K60e is likely to support 120W fast charging, but it is unlikely to support wireless charging.

The Redmi K60 series will be announced and will be available for purchase by early 2023. This time, there will not be a gaming-focused device named the Redmi K60 Gaming. The company claimed that the Redmi K60 Pro is very powerful and good enough for gaming.

The Redmi K60 Pro is confirmed to feature an OLED panel that offers 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM, and 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

Red Magic 8 Pro Series

The Red Magic 8 Pro series is scheduled to launch in China on December 26 (Monday). The conference will start at 3 PM GMT+8 and will be live-streamed on Weibo and other popular Chinese platforms.

The lineup will consist of two models, namely Red Magic 8 Pro and Redmi Magic 8 Pro Plus. The handsets will be almost identical with a few differences.

For instance, the Pro and Pro Plus are expected to house 5,000mAh and 6,000mAh batteries, respectively. The former is said to be limited to 120W charging, while the latter will support up to 165W charging.

These phones are anticipated to come with a 6.8-inch 120Hz OLED display with an under-screen camera, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, liquid cooling system, cooling fan, RGB lights, 50MP primary camera, up to 1TB storage, and more.

Honor 80 GT

The Honor 80 GT is set to launch in China on December 26 (Monday). The event will begin at 7:30 PM GMT+8 and it will be live-streamed on multiple Chinese platforms, including Weibo. The smartphone will be accompanied by a premium tablet called Honor Pad V8 Pro.

According to teasers and leaks, the Honor 80 GT will feature a centered punch-hole OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset paired with a VC cooling system.

The device will arrive with a plastic frame, a 54MP Sony IMX800 primary camera, 66W fast wired charging support, and Android 13-based MagicOS 7.0.

Redmi K60 Series

The Redmi K60 series will be unveiled on December 27 (Tuesday) in China. The launch conference will start at 7 PM GMT+8 and will be live-streamed on Weibo and leading Chinese video streaming platforms.

As per leaks and teasers, the series will comprise three models, namely Redmi K60E, Redmi K60, and Redmi K60 Pro. They will be powered by Dimensity 8200, Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chips, respectively.

All three phones will sport an OLED display with a high refresh rate. The K60E will boot MIUI 13 based on Android 12, while the K60 and K60 Pro will ship with the latest MIUI 14 based on Android 13.

Last but not least, the Redmi K60 is expected to release as Poco F5 in global markets.

iQOO Neo 7 Racing Edition

The iQOO Neo 7 Racing Edition will be made official on December 29 in China. Its launch live stream will begin at 7 PM GMT+8 on popular Chinese video streaming platforms.

Thanks to leaks and official teasers, we know a lot about this forthcoming device. First and foremost, it will come powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus SoC.

Further, it will feature a 6.78-inch 120Hz FHD+ OLED display, a 50MP + 8MP + 2MP triple camera system, a 16MP front-facing camera, an in-screen fingerprint sensor, and an IR blaster.

Yesterday, Redmi released a Weibo post to say that it will be arriving as a 2023 New Year’s gift, which suggests that it will launch in the next few days in the home market. Today, the company confirmed that the Redmi K60 will debut on Dec. 27 at 7pm (local time). It also rolled out a poster to give a first look at its design.

It’s not clear which of the three phones Redmi showed in the poster below. There is a possibility that the K60e, K60, and K60 Pro may sport a similar rear design.

The poster reveals that the Redmi K60 series has a rectangle-shaped camera module with three cameras and a pill-shaped LED flash unit inside. On the top, it seems to feature a microphone, an IR blaster, and a speaker grille. The device has a textured design on the back.

Redmi also confirmed today that the Redmi k60 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Earlier this month, it was revealed that the Redmi K60e will have the Dimensity 8200 chipset onboard. It can be said based on recent rumors that the Redmi K60 will come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset.

Rumors are rife that the Redmi K60 will be rebranded as the POCO F5 5G in the global market. In recent weeks, three Redmi phones with model numbers, such as 22127RK46C, 22122RK93C, and 23013RK75C have been certified by the 3C authority of China. As can be seen below, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station shared a screengrab of Weibing’s Weibo post and said that the Redmi K60 Pro is very good at playing games and there is no need for the Redmi K60 Gaming edition. So, it looks like the K60 Gaming will be replaced by the Redmi K60 Pro, which may have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.

It is no secret that Redmi is working on its next generation of high-performance devices known as the Redmi K60 series. So far, leaks and certifications have revealed that the series will have three models – Redmi K60, Redmi K60 Pro, and Redmi K60E.

Now, leaked images (via DCS) of the Redmi K60’s box have appeared online, indicating that the device is being mass-produced and the brand is stocking up ahead of the launch. Earlier, the Redmi K60 series was expected to debut by the end of the year; however, due to Xiaomi postponing the launch of the Xiaomi 13 series, the launch timeline of the Redmi K60 series has also been moved to early January.

Xiaomiui has uncovered the internal MIUI builds for the Redmi K60 series, with V14.0.2.0.TMNCNXM, V14.0.0.4.TMKCNXM, and V13.0.1.0.SMMCNXM representing the K60, K60 Pro, and K60E, respectively. It reveals that the Redmi K60 and K60 Pro will debut with MIUI 14, while the K60E will launch with MIUI 13. Xiaomi is expected to officially launch MIUI 14 at the Xiaomi 13 launch event.

The K60E has a Snapdragon 870 or Dimensity 8200 chip, according to previous leaks, whilst the K60 and K60 Pro have Snapdragon 8+ gen 1 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chips, respectively. Redmi has recently launched the Redmi Note 12 series of smartphones in China. The Chinese manufacturer is now expected to launch one of the Redmi K60 series phones in the Chinese market before the end of this year. A concept render of the K60 has now appeared online, revealing that it will sport a renewed rear design as compared to the Redmi K50 series.

Before reading ahead, readers should know that the authenticity of the Redmi K60’s concept render could not be confirmed. Hence, it is unclear whether it is a fan-made render or something that is based on the actual device.

The Redmi K60 has a flat display with a punch-hole in the center on the front. The bezels are slightly thicker than expected for a phone in this price range.

The right edge of the device has a volume rocker and a power button, which appears to be integrated with a fingerprint scanner. On the back, it has a rectangle-shaped camera module with rounded edges. The first camera is followed by a larger lens and a square-shaped camera.

Redmi K60 specifications (rumored)

The Redmi K60 is likely to feature a 6.67-inch display that offers a 2K resolution. The flat OLED panel will come equipped with an in-screen fingerprint scanner. Like the Ace 2 and GT Neo 5, the K60 is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset.

The SoC will come equipped with 12 GB of RAM. It will pack a 5,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. The device is also expected to support 30W wireless charging.

On the front, the Redmi K60 will feature a 16-megapixel selfie camera. The rear camera setup of the device may feature a 64-megapixel main camera. According to the tipster, one of the devices in the K60 lineup will have an OIS-enabled 64-megapixel main camera, whereas another model will have a 50-megapixel camera with OIS support as the primary snapper.

It is being speculated that the vanilla Redmi K60 will have a Sony IMX686 64-megapixel main camera, whereas the Redmi K60 Pro will have a 50-megapixel primary camera. The information that has surfaced is quite confusing since the vanilla model was previously tipped to feature a 48-megapixel main camera. Hence, it is advisable to wait for further reports to learn more about the primary cameras of the K60 lineup.

Its sub-brand, Redmi, is also said to be working on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 phone, which is tentatively called the Redmi K60 Gaming. The K60 series is also expected to include other models, such as the Redmi K60 and the K60 Pro. It seems that popular tipster Digital Chat Station has shared vital information about the vanilla Redmi K60.

One of the recent Weibo posts by DCS suggests that Redmi could be working on two Dimensity 8200-powered devices. For the uninitiated, the Dimensity 8200, designed for upper mid-range phones, is expected to launch alongside the Dimensity 9200 flagship chipset on Nov. 8. 

It appears that the two Dimensity 8200 models that the tipster could be talking about are the Redmi K60 and the Redmi Note 12T Pro series. To recall, the Redmi K50, Redmi Note 11T Pro, and Redmi Note 11T Pro+ are all powered by the Dimensity 8100 chipset.

The tipster has also shared some specifications of what appears to belong to the vanilla Redmi K60. The leak reveals that the Dimensity 8200-powered device will arrive with a flat display with a punch-hole design, a 48-megapixel primary camera with OIS support, and a 5,500mAh battery. One of his previous leaks suggested that the device would support 67W fast charging.

The other details of the alleged Redmi K60 are under wraps. In February 2021, Redmi unveiled the Redmi K50, K50 Pro, and K50 Gaming in China. Hence, there is a possibility that the K60 lineup may arrive in Q1 2023 in the home market.

According to the tipster, the Redmi K60 series phone features a 2K resolution display. In all likelihood, it could be equipped with an AMOLED screen since the entire K50 series of phones available in China features an AMOLED panel. The leak does not mention anything about the screen size and refresh rate.

It will feature the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and pack a 5,500mAh battery. The device will come with support for 67W wired charging and 30W wireless charging. It will be the first Redmi phone to support wireless charging. While it is not mentioned in the leak, it is likely to come preinstalled with the Android 13 OS and the latest version of MIUI.

Rumors are rife that the Redmi K60 Gaming will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which will debut in November this year. Hence, it is likely that the aforementioned specs may belong to the Redmi K50 Pro. At present, it is unclear how many devices belong to the Redmi K60 series.

POCO unveiled the POCO F4 5G this year. It debuted a tweaked version of the Redmi K40s, which was made available exclusively in the Chinese market. A new report by Xiaomiui has revealed the key specifications of the POCO F5 5G.

The report reveals that the POCO F5 5G will be a rebranded version of the Redmi K60 5G, which is expected to debut in Q1 2023. A new Xiaomi phone with model number 23013RK75C (Chinese variant) has appeared in the IMEI database. Its Indian variant with the 23013PC75I model number and the global version with the 23013PC75G model number have also surfaced in the IMEI database.

The handset will first debut in China with the Redmi K60, and later it will debut as the POCO F5 5G in global markets and India. In the 23013PC75G/I model number, the “23” means 2023, the “01” means January, the letters “PC” refers to POCO, the 75 hints to “M11A” model number, and G/I refers to Global/India. In the same way, the letters “RK” in the 23013RK75C model number seemingly hint at the Redmi K-series for the Chinese market.

The report further states that the POCO F5 has a “Mondrian” codename. It will arrive with an AMOLED display that produces a 2K resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 1000 nits of brightness. The device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1. The same specs are likely to be available on the Redmi K60. The other specifications of the POCO F5 / Redmi K60 are yet to be revealed.

As can be understood through the model numbers of the Redmi K60 / POCO F5, both devices are expected to launch in Q1 2023. Hopefully, the rumor mill will spill details about the F5 / K60.
