Xiaomi is ready to announce its highly anticipated Redmi Note 12 Turbo series in China this week on March 28, as the mid-range Android smartphone market heats up in 2023. This time around, the smartphone brand is bold enough to claim that the upcoming affordable Redmi Note 12 Turbo will offer the “flagship smartphone experience” at a much lower price than its competitors.

Xiaomi Group President and Redmi General Manager, Lu Weibing, posted on his Chinese social media Weibo recently, announcing that the company is serious about bringing the flagship-level performance and smartphone experience to a wider and more price-conscious audience.

Alongside the announcement, the President also shared that the Redmi Note 12 Turbo series will bring much beloved features such as the 3.5mm headphone jack, the infrared IR sensor, multifunctional NFC support, and support for the latest Bluetooth 5.3. These user beloved features are typically omitted in flagships that cost almost 5 times as much as the price range that the Redmi Note 12 Turbo is competing. Other notable additions include Dolby Atmos certified stereo speakers and an X-axis linear vibration motor normally found on more expensive smartphones.

The Redmi Note 12 Turbo is also the world’s first smartphone to be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 processor, which brings significant improvements to performance and power consumption compared to its predecessor the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. In fact, the 7+ Gen 2 is comparable to the flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC launched last year.

Redmi Note 12 Turbo teasers, alongside comparison against iPhone 14

And according to teasers revealed by the company, the front of the Redmi Note 12 Turbo sports a 6.67-inch OLED screen that supports a refresh rate of 120Hz and Full HD+ resolution. It also supports 68.7 billion colours, 100% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, 1920Hz PWM dimming and HDR10+ certification. It is said that its screen-to-body ratio has reached 93.45%. The chin thickness of the Redmi Note 12 Turbo is 2.2mm, which is 0.2mm slimmer than the iPhone 14. The side frame thickness is 1.42mm and the top frame thickness is 1.95mm. There is also a small hole in the centre of the screen for the front selfie camera.

The new model in question is the RedmiBook Pro 2022 Ryzen Edition.

As the name suggests, the new RedmiBook Pro notebook will feature an AMD Ryzen processor. This chip will be a part of the latest Ryzen 6000 family and will be an H series processor that offers high performance. While the company has yet to reveal any finer details regarding this laptop, it did confirm that it will sport a 14 inch display on the front. Furthermore, we can expect it to feature at least DDR4 RAM and SSD storage as well.

The new Ryzen 6000H series processor is based on the Zen 3+ architecture that also includes RDNA 2 GPU architecture as well. Furthermore, the chipset is based on a 6nm process as well. Apart from this, it is also confirmed to be a thin and light laptop, similar to its predecessors. For those unaware, the Chinese tech giant’s RedmiBook Pro series seeks to take on high end notebook offerings like the Apple MacBook.

It offers a metallic design that is thin and light, and primarily geared towards professionals. As of right now, it is unclear if Xiaomi also plans on launching the 2022 RedmiBook Pro Ryzen Edition in a 15.6 inch display variant as well. But stick around for more, as we will be covering the launch event later this month on May 24.

The key specifications of both smartphones were revealed through their TENAA certifications last month. Now, it has been found that both smartphones’ TENAA listings have been updated to include RAM and storage options.

The Redmi Note 11T’s TENAA listing now reveals that it will come in configurations such as 6 GB RAM = 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. Past reports have revealed that the device will be powered by the Dimensity 1300. As it is known, the Note 11T heading to China will be different from the same-named phone available in India and other markets.

The TENAA listing of Note 11T Pro may arrive in two editions, like 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 512 GB storage. It appears that the Note 11T Pro will be the first Redmi Note series smartphone to offer such a massive storage option. This model could be equipped with the Dimensity 8000 SoC.

Both devices are expected to house a 6.6-inch FHD+ display. The Pro model may carry support for up to a 144Hz refresh rate. Both models will run on the Android 12 OS with MIUI 13 on top. The vanilla model packs a 4,300mAh (rated capacity) battery, whereas the Pro model is equipped with a 4,890mAh (rated capacity) battery. These devices are expected to carry support for 67W and 120W fast charging, respectively.

Unfortunately, there is no information on the camera specifications of the Note 11T lineup. It appears that Redmi will confirm the Note 11T series launch date in the next few days in China.

It will have several first performance acceleration technologies for the Note series to bring flagship-grade performance.

Based on the rumors so far, the Redmi Note 11T Pro will come with an LCD screen and have support for a 144Hz refresh rate.
Redmi Note 11T, Note 11T Pro specifications (rumored)

In recent weeks, two Redmi devices with 22041216C and 22041216UC model numbers have been spotted on Chinese certification platforms such as TENAA and 3C. The former is expected to launch with the Redmi Note 11T name, and it will be different from the same named phone available in India and other markets. The 22041216UC model is expected to arrive in China with the Redmi Note 11T Pro moniker.

The Redmi Note 11T is likely to come with a 6.6-inch display that probably offers a Full HD+ resolution. It is likely to come equipped with a 4,300mAh battery. Its 3C certification has revealed that it may carry support for 67W fast charging. The Note 11T is speculated to feature the Dimensity 1300 chipset.

When it comes to the Pro model, it will most likely be powered by the Dimensity 8000 chipset. It may feature the same 6.6-inch screen, which carries support for up to a 144Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by a 4,980 mAh battery and supports 120W fast charging. Both phones are expected to run on the Android 12 OS and MIUI 13. The other specs of the Note 11T series are under wraps.

While initial reports claimed that these were the Redmi Note 12 series of smartphones, Chinese tipsters have claimed that both models may debut as the Redmi Note 11T series of smartphones. While the monikers of these Redmi phones are yet to be confirmed, these devices have now bagged approval from China’s 3C authority. These certifications indicate that it won’t take too long for the next Redmi Note series of smartphones to go official.

Alleged Redmi Note 11T, Note 11 Pro receive 3C certification

The 3C certification of the Redmi 22041216C phone reveals that it may come with a 67W fast charger. On the other hand, the 3C listing of the Redmi 22041216UC reveals that it may carry support for 120W fast charging. Both phones also carry support for 5G connectivity.

The previously seen TENAA listings have revealed that both phones measure 163.64 x 74.29 x 8.8mm and house a 6.6-inch display. Both smartphones will come preinstalled with the Android 12 OS.

The Redmi 22041216C has a 4,980mAh (rated value) battery, which may support 67W fast charging. On the other hand, the Redmi 22041216UC may house a 4,300mAh (rated value) battery. This device is expected to support 120W fast charging.

Rumors have it that the Redmi Note 11T Pro series will be powered by the Dimensity 1300 chipset. The other details of the lineup are currently under wraps. The TENAA listings of both smartphones are expected to be updated with full specifications and images in the next few days. The company may unveil it in May in China.

Design

Despite these devices belonging to two different generations, their designs are similar. Do not expect amazing build quality and premium materials because these devices are very affordable phones. They are entirely made of polycarbonate with the exception of the front glass. The Redmi Note 11T 5G has the IP53 certification which makes it dust resistant and splash resistant, while the Redmi Note 10T 5G is splash proof but does not have any kind of certification against water and dust. The Redmi Note 10T 5G is a bit more compact and it has the Gorilla Glass 3 protection for the display. The camera modules have a similar design but different placements, with the Redmi Note 10T 5G packing a smaller module, even though it has more sensors. I personally prefer the Redmi Note 10T 5G.

Display

The displays of the Redmi Note 11T 5G and the Redmi Note 10T 5G are slightly different in terms of size: 6.6 inches and 6.5 inches, respectively. But for the rest, there are no important differences as the main specifications are the same. They are average IPS LCD panels with a 90 Hz refresh rate and a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. You should not expect an amazing image quality as we are talking about cheap IPS panels, but the quality is sufficient for every kind of user and the refresh rate is even good for gamers. These phones are equipped with side-mounted fingerprint readers placed on the power keys. Note that Redmi Note 11T 5G has stereo speakers, while the Redmi Note 10T 5G has a mono speaker.

Hardware/Software

The Redmi Note 11T 5G packs a stronger processor: the octa-core Dimensity 810 5G chipset by Mediatek built at 6 nm, running at a max frequency of 2.4 GHz. It is a pretty good update if compared to the Dimensity 700 found on the Redmi Note 10T 5G, but not for gamers as these two processors have the same GPU. With the Redmi Note 11T 5G you can actually get a higher quantity of RAM: up to 8 GB, while the Redmi Note 10T 5G stops at 6 GB. The most recent model is running MIUI 12.5 out of the box, while its predecessor is based on MIUI 12, but both run Android 11.

Camera

The main sensor found on the rear of the Redmi Note 11T 5G is way better than the one of the Redmi Note 10T 5G: we are talking about a more recent 50 MP camera capturing a higher level of detail. Still a cheap camera, but superior to the old 48 MP one of the Note 10T. Even the secondary sensor is better: the Redmi Note 11T 5G has an 8 MP ultrawide camera, while the Redmi Note 10T 5G has two useless 2 MP sensors for macros and depth calculation.

Battery

These phones are both equipped with a battery sporting a capacity of 5000 mAh, but the battery life is most likely to be longer on the Redmi Note 11T 5G because it is fueled by a more efficient processor built at 6 nm. It even supports faster charging thanks to a power of 33W.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 11T 5G vs Xiaomi Redmi Note 10T 5G: Price

The starting price of the Redmi Note 11T 5G is €220/$250, while the Redmi Note 10T 5G starts from €175/$200 thanks to street prices. Overall, the former offers a better audio experience, a more powerful chipset, better cameras, and faster charging. It makes sense to spend more if you are looking for these better features.

We promise this is the last comparison, but we had to compare the Redmi Note 11T 5G with the best device from Realme sold with a similar price: the Realme 8s 5G. The differences between these two phones are just marginal, that is why a lot of people will be confused and unsure about which one to choose. This comparison between their specifications will hopefully shed some light on this and help you understand which phone offers the highest value for money.

Design

My favorite design of this comparison belongs to the Realme 8s 5G because its camera module has a more minimal look. The cameras are placed in a 2×2 matrix and the phone is slightly lighter than Redmi Note 11T 5G. It even offers a more compact size because its display is slightly smaller but still wide enough for everyone. But you should consider that the Redmi Note 11T 5G offers two important advantages in terms of build quality: the first is the IP53 certification (which makes it dust resistant and splash resistant) and the second is the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection for the front glass. Both the phones are made of polycarbonate just like most of the other budget phones.

Display

The displays of Redmi Note 11T 5G and Realme 8s 5G can be considered at the same level. They are average IPS panels with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a 90 Hz refresh rate. As mentioned above, the Redmi Note 11T 5G adds the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, while the Realme 8s 5G has a smaller diagonal (6.5 inches vs 6.6 inches). Redmi Note 11T 5G has stereo speakers as well, while the Realme 8s 5G has a mono speaker: that is the reason why the former is a better phone for multimedia. Both come with a side-mounted fingerprint reader for authentication.

Hardware/Software

The hardware departments of the highest-end configurations of these phones are the same with the exception of the internal storage. The handsets are powered by a Mediatek Dimensity 810 chipset running at 2.4 GHz and built at 6 nm, paired with up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of native storage. But the Redmi Note 11T 5G offers faster UFS 2.2 storage, while Realme 8s 5G comes with UFS 2.1. The performance level is very similar and the differences mostly depend on the software optimization. The phones run Android 11 out of the box and customized user interfaces: MIUI and Realme UI, respectively.

Camera

The Realme 8s 5G has a more interesting main camera: a 64 MP sensor that is able to capture a very high level of detail in good light conditions. On the other hand, the Redmi Note 11T 5G features an 8 MP ultrawide sensor (besides the 50 MP main camera) which is not present on the Realme 8s 5G. The Realme budget phone only offers two secondary sensors with 2 MP resolutions which are considered pretty useless. But the selfie camera of the Realme 8s 5G is actually more valid.

Battery

There are no differences in terms of battery capacity and fast charging: Redmi Note 11T 5G and Realme 8s 5G are both equipped with 5000 mAh batteries and they support 33W fast charging. The battery life provided by these devices is similar because they have similar components, so it is a draw from the battery point of view.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 11T 5G vs Realme 8s 5G: Price

In the Indian market, the Redmi Note 11T 5G carries a starting price of Rs. 17,999 (about $239), that is the same starting price you can find for the Realme 8s 5G. These devices have very similar specs sheets and it is very hard to pick a winner. While the Redmi has faster internal storage, the Realme 8s 5G seems to offer a slightly more interesting camera department (but not for everyone as it lacks an ultrawide sensor). Which one would you pick?

But can you get something at the same level or even better in the current market? A lot of people are asking this question because the Redmi Note 11T 5G is a very famous and wanted device, that is the reason why we are comparing it to the best midrange phones from the concurrence. This is a comparison between the specifications of the Redmi Note 11T 5G and the Vivo V23e 5G thanks to which you will know the differences between the two handsets.

Design

At first glance, a lot of people may prefer the Redmi Note 11T 5G due to its punch-hole design, while the Vivo V23e 5G has a less modern waterdrop notch on the display. But if you dig deeper, you will discover that the Vivo V23e 5G is one of the thinnest and most lightweight mid-range phones from the last generation. For this reason, the Vivo V23e 5G attracts a lot of consumers who want a good phone to use with one hand and to keep in a pocket. Besides being thinner and lighter, it is even more compact than Redmi Note 11T 5G thanks to the presence of a smaller display.

Display

The Vivo V23e 5G has a better display than the Redmi Note 11T 5G for a simple reason: it comes with an AMOLED panel, while the latest Xiaomi budget phone has a classic IPS display with inferior image quality. Unlike the Vivo V23e 5G, you get a 90 Hz refresh rate with the Redmi Note 11T 5G, but the V23e 5G has richer colors and it even offers an in-display fingerprint reader for authentication (the Note 11T 5G has a less comfortable side-mounted fingerprint scanner).

Hardware/Software

The differences between the hardware of the Vivo V23e 5G and the Redmi Note 11T 5G are just marginal: both the phones are equipped with a Mediatek Dimensity 810 5G mobile platform built at 6 nm with a max frequency of 2.4 GHz. The highest-end memory configurations offer 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. The handsets run Android 11 out of the box, customized by Funtouch OS and MIUI, respectively. They will both receive the update to Android 12 for sure.

Camera

The Vivo V23e 5G is definitely the best camera phone of this comparison. On the rear side, both the phones have a 50 MP main camera and an 8 MP ultrawide sensor, but the Vivo V23e 5G has an additional 2 MP camera for macros. Further, the V23e 5G has one of the best selfie cameras ever seen in the smartphone market, with a 44 MP resolution, an f/2.0 focal aperture, and 4K video recording with HDR. The selfie camera of the Redmi Note 11T 5G is just average with its 16 MP resolution.

Battery

The battery is the weakest point of the Vivo V23e 5G: with a capacity of just 4050 mAh, it does not shine in terms of battery life, but it features 44W fast charging thanks to which it reaches 100 percent in a low amount of time. On the other hand, the Redmi Note 11T 5G is a great battery phone with a 5000 mAh battery and 33W fast charging. It is able to last up to two working days of moderate usage, while you can use the Vivo V23e 5G for one day or so without charging it.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 11T 5G vs Vivo V23e 5G: Price

Redmi Note 11T 5G made its debut in China with a starting price tag of €220/$250 for the base variant with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, while the Vivo V23e 5G launched in Vietnam with a price tag of about €350/$397 at the actual change. The Vivo V23e 5G is a more interesting phone thanks to its amazing AMOLED display, thin and lightweight design, better selfie camera, and faster charging. The most affordable variant from the new series is the OPPO Reno7 SE offering 5G, a beautiful design, and well-balanced specifications at a great price. But there are a lot of other mid-rangers released recently in China: does the OPPO Reno7 SE offer a higher value for money than its rivals? In order to understand it, we are comparing it to the best value for money phones from the last generation. After a comparison with the Redmi Note 11 Pro+, here is a comparison between the specifications of the Redmi Note 11T 5G and the OPPO Reno7 SE.

Design

There is no challenge if we talk about the design: OPPO Reno7 SE wins. It has a definitely better design with its gradient color option and its compact size. With a thickness of just 7.5 mm, the OPPO Reno7 SE is one of the thinnest mid-rangers out there, and with a weight of just 171 grams, it is even one of the most lightweight. Talking about the build quality, both the devices are good. The Redmi Note 11T 5G has the IP53 certification for dust resistance and splash resistance and the Gorilla Glass 3 protection for the display, while the front glass of the OPPO Reno7 SE is protected by Gorilla Glass 5.

Display

The OPPO Reno7 SE has a smaller display than Redmi Note 11T 5G, but it is a better panel in terms of image quality. It is an AMOLED showing vibrant colors with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and it has a refresh rate of 90 Hz, as well as the HDR certification improving the image quality on streaming platforms. The Redmi Note 11T 5G is a bit disappointing under this aspect because it has an IPS display and it lacks an HDR certification. The panel is wider with a diagonal of 6.6 inches (against just 6.43 inches), the resolution is Full HD+ with 1080 x 2400 pixels, and the refresh rate is 90 Hz. The OPPO Reno7 SE has a mono speaker and an in-display fingerprint reader, while the Redmi Note 11T 5G has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and stereo speakers.

Hardware/Software

The OPPO Reno7 SE is equipped with a superior hardware department composed of the Mediatek Dimensity 900 chipset running at a max frequency of 2.4 GHz, up to 8 GB of RAM, and up to 256 GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. The Redmi Note 11T 5G is a mid-ranger just like the OPPO Reno7 SE, but its processor is a weaker Dimensity 810 and the maximum amount of internal storage is 128 GB (UFS 2.2). Both the phones run Android 11, but with different customizations: ColorOS 12 for the OPPO Reno7 SE and MIUI 12.5 for the Redmi Note 11T 5G.

Camera

The camera setup of the Redmi Note 11T 5G is more interesting not only for the presence of a new 50 MP main camera but also because the phone sports an 8 MP ultrawide sensor which is not present in the OPPO Reno7 SE. With the Reno7 SE, you get two useless 2 MP cameras as secondary sensors, but you also get a 48 MP main camera with a bright f/1.7 aperture shooting decent photos in the dark.

Battery

The Redmi Note 11T 5G is equipped with a bigger 5000 mAh battery, while the OPPO Reno7 SE has a 4500 mAh battery. Despite the OPPO Reno7 SE having a more efficient display, the bigger capacity of the Redmi Note 11T 5G allows for longer battery life in a lot of scenarios. There are no differences in terms of charging power as both support 33W fast charging.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 11T 5G vs OPPO Reno7 SE: Price

Redmi Note 11T 5G has a starting price of €220/$248 in the Chinese market, while you need €310/$349 to purchase the base variant of the OPPO Reno 7 SE. The OPPO Reno7 SE is actually a better phone due to a better display and a superior mobile platform, but the Redmi Note 11T 5G offers a longer battery life and a higher value for money.
