Redmi Note 12 series is already official in the global market and has been well-received by consumers. The entire range boasts impressive specifications and includes 5G connectivity at a competitive price point. However, it seems the company is working on a new Note 12 Series handset with only 4G connectivity. The device will likely be called Redmi Note 12 4G and while there’s no official confirmation, a new report has shared its specifications and design renders.

Tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore took to Twitter to share the renders of the unreleased Redmi Note 12 4G. The images reveal the 4G handset will follow the same design language as its rest two siblings in the series. It sports a flat back, with likely a frosty polycarbonate glass on top. The camera island is also similar— you get a rectangular module that houses 3 separate rings for the camera sensors.

On the front, the Redmi Note 12 4G features a flat display with a punch-hole cutout on the top center. The bezels around the display are decent— not too thick, not too thin. All in all, the handset looks quite premium, considering the fact that it will be priced under 180 USD (Rs. 15,000).

Ambhore also shared a live image of the handset, which shows its “About phone” section. It reveals the Note 12 4G will pack an unreleased Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 SoC under the hood. As per the tipster, this SoC is an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 680 SoC. Further, the handset could arrive with 4GB of RAM and 3GB of virtual RAM. It will run Android 13-based MIUI 14 out of the box.

Previous rumors also hint at a 120Hz 6.67-inch AMOLED display, a 50MP primary shooter, and a 5000mAh battery with support for 33W charging. Redmi Note 12 4G’s launch date is still anyone’s guess. We hope to learn more in the coming days.
