Last week, Redmi Note 12 Pro+ debuted in China alongside a bunch of other Note 12 series smartphones. Reports suggest the handset will also be launched in the Indian market but with a different moniker— Xiaomi 12i HyperCharge. Now, ahead of any official announcement, the Note 12 Pro+ has been spotted on the US FCC certification site, hinting at an imminent launch. Here are all the details.

The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G global variant has been spotted on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification website with the model number 22101316UG (Via Simranpal Singh). The listing suggests the device will run MIUI 14 out of the box. It will likely be the Android 13-based software. Further, FCC reveals Xiaomi will disable the smartphone’s LTE Band 40 and 5G NR n40 with the software.

According to a recent report, Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G will arrive in India as Xiaomi 12i HyperCharge. It shouldn’t come as a surprise since the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge is also a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G.

Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G Specifications

The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ launched in China with a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display that offers a 120Hz refresh rate, 900 nits brightness, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision support. It draws power from a Dimensity 1080 SoC complemented with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The handset features a VC cooling system for effective heat dissipation.

The smartphone is fueled by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging. For photography, there is a 200MP main camera with OIS support, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro unit. The handset has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and comes with a USB-C port, 5G, WiFi-6, Bluetooth 5.2, an IR blaster, and an X-Axis linear motor.
