Xiaomi is gearing up to unveil the highly anticipated Redmi Note 13 series of smartphones in India soon. But ahead of the official announcement, the company has shared official teasers that reveal some key features of the top end Note 13 Pro+ model.

Redmi Note 13 Pro+ Front & Rear Design Teased

As per the official teasers, it has been confirmed that the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ will be the world’s first smartphone to come with the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra SoC. On the front, the Chinese tech giant confirmed that the device will sport a curved display with a 1.5K resolution. Meanwhile, the rear will feature what the company calls a Fusion design. This basically means that the back has a vegan leather panel.

To recall, the smartphone houses a VC heat dissipation that covers a 4,000mm² area. For photography, the device has a triple camera setup on the rear, which consists of a 200-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HP3 primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra wide angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. On the other hand, the front houses a 16-megapixel selfie camera. A large 5,000mAh battery pack powers this device, which supports 120W fast charging.

The Note 13 Pro series is set to go on sale via Flipkart along with the company’s official website and offline stores. For those unaware, Redmi will be unveiling the new smartphones in India on 4th January 2024. The global launch of the handset is also around the corner since it recently visited the NBTC certification authority in Thailand. Earlier today (6th December 2023), Xiaomi unveiled the Redmi 13C and the Redmi 13C 5G in the Indian market. Now, it appears to be gearing up to launch a new Redmi smartphone in the region, this time from the popular Note 13 lineup. The device in question is the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G (Review). So here’s everything you need to know about its Indian release.

Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G India Launch

In a new teaser, the Chinese tech giant revealed the launch timeline of the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G in the Indian market. The smartphone will be announced in the region in January 2024, which is next month. Unfortunately, the teaser image poster does not reveal whether the brand will release any other Note 13 series devices alongside the top end Note 13 Pro+ 5G model.

Although, there will likely be multiple products, if not handsets, that will be showcased during the launch event next month. For those unaware, the Redmi Note 13 series includes the base Note 13, Note 13 Pro, and the Note 13 Pro+ models. Just recently, the global launch of the Redmi Note 13 Pro and Note 13 Pro+ surfaced on TDRA certification, which hints at an imminent global launch.

Similarly, the recent pricing leak of the Note 13 Pro series in the European market also gave us an idea regarding its overseas pricing. To recall, the two phones will be offered in a single 12GB RAM + 512GB storage option in Europe. The Redmi Note 13 Pro will reportedly cost around 450 Euros while the Note 13 Pro+ will cost around 500 Euros. This roughly translates to around 40,000 to 45,000 Indian Rupees. Although, the Indian pricing is still at large, so stick around for more updates.

Redmi Note 13 Pro series to feature 1.5K display comparable to flagships

Redmi has confirmed that the Note 13 series will be announced in September, and it has now been revealed that both the Pro series (Note 13 Pro / 13 Pro Plus) devices will feature a second-generation 1.5K high-gloss eye protection display.

The new screen is said to use the latest flagship luminescent materials, with a peak brightness of 1800nits, support for 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and high-brightness DC dimming for eye protection.

Additionally, the Redmi Note 13 Pro has received triple TUV Rheinland eye protection certification, which is a testament to its ability to reduce eye strain and fatigue.

Redmi has already shared posters of both smartphones, giving us a good idea about how they look. The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ has a curved screen, while the Pro has a flat one. Both phones are likely to have AMOLED displays with in-screen fingerprint sensors.

The Pro+ model also comes with a leather back with raised camera rings, while the Pro has a glass back with a raised camera island. Both the 13 Pro duo will feature a 200MP main camera, but only the Pro+ will get optical image stabilization (OIS).

Likewise, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is confirmed to have the MediaTek Dimensity 7200-Ultra chip, a 5,120mAh battery with 120W fast charging. On the other hand, the 13 Pro is rumored to have the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip, a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging.

Xiaomi has confirmed that the Redmi Note 13 series will be launched in China on September 21st. The report has it says that reservations for the devices are already open on major e-commerce platforms in the mainland.
