The news arrives from known tipster Sudhanshu who shared the information with 91Mobiles in an exclusive report. When the device launched earlier this year, it came in three color options, namely Midnight Black, Arctic White, or Coral Purple. This model is now arriving in Green, although, the exact name of this color is unclear. It appears similar to Sage or Olive green. The images shared in the report also hint at two different shades of green.

But apart from the color, the device will likely be identical in every other aspect. This means that it will likely retain the tall 6.67-inch AMOLED display that offers FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 1,800 nits of peak brightness. Under the hood, it is equipped with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC, which is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Redmi Note 13 Pro

The Redmi Note 13 Pro starts at ₹24,999 in India. It is powered by the same Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset as the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion.

The Redmi Phone also arrives with a higher 200MP primary camera and a larger 5,100mAh battery.  But the charging speed is comparable at 67W.

Lastly, the 120Hz OLED display may be flat but it can play Dolby Vision content. Also, the panel is sharper as it has a 1.5K resolution (2712 x 1220 pixels).

Realme 12 Pro

The Realme 12 Pro also starts at ₹24,999 in India. It is the only competitor that also has a curved display and a vegan leather back.

However, the handset houses a less powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip. Anyhoo, the battery capacity and charging speed are nearly identical at 5,000mAh and 67W, respectively.

Most importantly, the Realme 12 Pro is the only device on the list with a proper three lens camera system. It arrives with a 50MP primary sensor, a 32MP 2x telephoto shooter, and an 8MP ultrawide unit.

Samsung Galaxy M55

The Galaxy M55 is the best option for someone looking for a Samsung alternative in this segment. It starts at ₹26,999 in India.

The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset. This makes it slower than the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion.

However, Samsung will offer longer software support than any other handset on this list. It will receive four Android updates and five years of security updates.

The Redmi Note 13 5G series made its debut in India in early January.  The lineup consists of three models ranging across different price segments.

Within a few days from its release, the series generated ₹1,000 crores in revenue. A month later, the company now announces that the revenue from the said smartphones has doubled.

Earlier today, Xiaomi revealed that the Redmi Note 13 5G series crossed ₹2,000 crores in revenue in a month. This is quite an achievement for a brand that has been losing market share in the country.

However, unlike previous years, the company does not mention the number of units sold. The numbers should be comparatively low given the current smartphone market scenario.

So how come the revenue is high? The answer to this is the pricing of the newer Redmi Notes.

Xiaomi bumped the price of the Redimi Note phones by incorporating a select few premium features.

The base Redmi Note 13 5G starts at ₹17,999 instead of ₹9,999 as it used to a few years back. On the other end of the spectrum, the top-end Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus retails as high as ₹35,999.

Due to increased pricing and à la carte features from mid-range as well as premium categories, the Redmi Note series is no longer a default recommendation. The devices are still good but they have lost their uniqueness and charm.

Despite all these, Xiaomi managed to clock in crores of revenue in a month. This sort of proves that Indian consumers still trust the ‘Redmi Note’ brand due to its legacy.

Xiaomi debuted the Redmi Note 13 series in China at the end of September. The smartphones started making their way to numerous international markets from the  first week of January.

Nearly four months after their original release, the company is gearing up to introduce a special edition of the pro model. This new variant celebrates the Chinese New Year.

Ahead of its official announcement, the said phone has leaked in live images.

Redmi Note 13 Pro Limited Edition comes in Red

As per pictures circulating on Weibo, the upcoming special edition handset from the sub-brand of Xiaomi is officially called Redmi Note 13 Pro 2024 New Year Edition.

This version of the device arrives in a bright red color with black accents. The back panel is red while the camera module and the frame are in black.

The product’s retail box has different  graphics compared to the regular box. At present, we do not have info on whether the in-box contents are themed or not.

At the same time, we cannot rule out the possibility of the  smartphone to come with Chinese New Year theme, wallpapers, ringtones, and other customizations.

Redmi is yet to officially tease the arrival of this product.

Though they sound different, both smartphones are nearly identical. The only major differences between them are their primary cameras and rear finishes.

Differences between Redmi Note 13 Pro and Poco X6

To be precise, the Poco phone arrives with a downgraded 64MP main camera as opposed to a 200MP snapper on the Redmi. For just this one major hardware change, the device costs way cheaper as it is also sold exclusively online.

For instance, in India, the Poco X6 5G starts at ₹21,999 for the base 8GB + 256GB memory configuration. Whereas the higher 12GB + 512GB variant retails at ₹24,999.

On the other hand, the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G not only starts at a higher ₹25,999 price tag but its base variant is limited to 128GB storage and 8GB RAM. In fact, there is no 512GB version.

The higher 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB memory variants cost ₹27,999 and ₹29,999, respectively.

The pricing clearly makes the Poco X6 a better deal than the Redmi Note 13 Pro if you don’t care about the higher-megapixel camera. However, it is worth noting that the Poco phone is limited to online, while the Redmi handset can be purchased both online as well as offline.

The series gets two 4G-only devices called Redmi Note 13 and Redmi Note 13 Pro. Both these phones are almost the same as their 5G counterparts with their chipsets being the major differentiators.

The Redmi Note 13 series is official in India today as planned. The lineup includes three phones, namely Redmi Note 13 5G, Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, and Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus 5G.

The trio is the same as the one sold in China. Only the vanilla model has a different camera setup.

Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G Specifications

The Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G has a flat frame body and looks boxy. It is IP54-rated for splash resistance and its display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.

The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip. The chipset is paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. On the software front, it ships with Android 13-based MIUI 14.

The front of the handset is equipped with a 6.67-inch centered punch-hole AMOLED display. This 12-bit screen maxes at a resolution of 2712 x 1220 pixels (1.5K), a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The panel supports Dolby Vision, 1920Hz PWM dimming, and 1800 nits peak brightness level.

The phone sports a 16MP selfie camera and a triple camera system on the rear. The setup comprises an OIS-assisted 200MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide unit, and a 2MP macro shooter.

The device offers multiple connectivity options, such as dual SIM, 5G, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, GNSS, and USB Type-C. It also arrives with a 3.5mm headphone jack, Dolby Atmos-supported dual stereo speakers, an IR blaster, and an in-screen fingerprint sensor.

Finally, the smartphone is backed by a 5,100mAh battery and charges at a maximum rate of 67W.

Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G Price in India

The Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G comes in the following memory configurations in India.

• 8GB + 128GB – ₹25,999 (~$310)
• 8GB + 256GB – ₹27,999 (~$335)
• 12GB + 256GB – ₹29,999 (~$360)

The handset can be availed in either Midnight Black, Arctic White, or Coral Purple color options.

The first sale is scheduled for at 12 PM on January 10 via Mi.com, Flipkart, and retail stores.

The Indian lineup will include three smartphones, namely Redmi Note 13 5G, Note 13 Pro 5G, and Note 13 Pro+ 5G. All of these devices are also expected to launch in the global market as well, likely with unchanged specs. That being said, the mi India website has already confirmed a bunch of specs for both the Note 13 5G and Note 13 Pro 5G models for India.

Redmi Note 13 5G, Note 13 Pro 5G specs:

Starting with the Redmi Note 13 5G, the device will feature a 120Hz punch-hole cutout AMOLED display with minimal bezels, achieving an impressive 93.3% screen-to-body ratio. With a weight of 173.5 grams and a slim 7.6mm profile, the device includes Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for display protection. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 processor, the Redmi Note 13 5G supports 33W fast charging and boasts a noteworthy 108MP main camera on its rear.

As for the Note 13 Pro 5G, the smartphone is confirmed to feature a double-sided glass body with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. It will feature a 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an in-display fingerprint sensor for security. Under the hood, the device will feature a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 5G chipset accompanied by a 5100mAh battery and 67W fast charging. Last but not least, it will feature a 200MP primary camera.

Coming from the popular tipster Abhishek Yadav on X.com, the retail box of 12GB RAM and 512GB storage carries a price tag of Rs 37,999. Further, it confirms the specifications of a 120Hz 3D curved AMOLED display, the presence of MediaTek 7200 SoC, a 200 MP ultra-high-res camera with OIS, 120W hypercharge carrying a 5000 mAh battery, and an IP68 rating. As per previous leaks, Redmi Note 13 Pro+(review) flaunts a 6.67-inch curved OLED display with a 6.67-inch curved OLED display with a punch-hole camera. It is a 10-bit panel that supports 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 1920Hz PWM dimming, 1800 nits peak brightness, and Dolby Vision.

Xiaomi‘s upcoming global launch event, which is scheduled for January 4 will debut the Note 13 series. Alongside the global market, the Note 13 series will also be launching in India. Ahead of the launch, tipster Abhishek Yadav has spilled the beans on the pricing of the entire Note 13 lineup heading to India.

An Image shared by Abhishek on X (Twitter) reveals the pricing details of three models coming to India, namely Redmi Note 13 5G, Note 13 Pro 5G, and Note 13 Pro+ 5G. The Redmi Note 13 5G, available in three variants, is expected to be priced at Rs 20,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM model, Rs 22,999 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB ROM version, and Rs 24,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB ROM variant. The color options include Prism Gold, Arctic White, and Stealth Black.

Moving on to the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, the pricing is expected to range from Rs 28,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM variant to Rs 32,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB ROM version. Color choices for the Pro model include Arctic White, Coral Purple, and Midnight Black. Finally, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G is projected to be priced at Rs 33,999 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB ROM variant, Rs 35,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB ROM model, and Rs 37,999 for the 12GB RAM and 512GB ROM variant. The Pro+ series offers Fusion White, Fusion Purple, and Fusion Black as color options.

The first week of 2024 will be packed with smartphone launches just like the last week of 2023. Five events are confirmed by the brands and each of them will be hosted by a different company.

Four of these conferences will take place on the same day, i.e., January 4 (Thursday). Three of them will even start at the same time.

Out of all the five confirmed launch events, three of them will be held in India headed by Tecno, Xiaomi, and Vivo. Whereas, the remaining two by OnePlus and Honor will be hosted in China.

With that out of the way, let’s take a look at all the phones coming out in the next few days.

Upcoming Smartphones Next Week

Tecno Pop 8

The Tecno Pop 8 is set to launch in India on January 3 (Wednesday). It is expected to go official at 12 PM IST via press release and social media posts.

The Pop 8 will be powered by a Unisoc T606 chip. It will have a flat frame and its cameras will be arranged in an iPhone Pro-like manner.

The device will come with a 6.6-inch HD+ 90Hz display, a 13MP rear camera, a 5,000mAh battery, and 10W charging support.

Redmi Note 13 Series

The Redmi Note 13 series is scheduled to launch in India on January 4 (Thursday). The press conference will kickstart at 12 PM IST.

Xiaomi will debut three models, namely Redmi Note 13 5G, Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, and Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus 5G. As per leaks and teasers, the handsets will be the same as the ones sold in China with a few differences on the the vanilla variant.

The Pro Plus version offers several premium features, like an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, a 1.5K 120Hz curved OLED display, a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP3 camera, and a leather back.

Vivo X100 Series

The Vivo X100 series is planned to launch in India on January 4 (Thursday). The launch event will start at 12 PM IST.

Two devices will be announced, namely Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro. Both phones will be the same as their Chinese counterparts.

The duo is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC and flaunts a 6.78-inch 1.5K 120Hz (LTPO) curved OLED display. It features a 50MP primary camera assisted by a 60MP ultrawide unit.  The periscope telephoto camera is a 50MP sensor on the pro and a 64MP sensor on the regular version.

The X100 and X100 Pro are backed by 5,000mAh and 5,400mAh batteries, respectively. The former supports 100W wired charging, whereas the latter supports 120W wired as well as 50W wireless charging.

OnePlus Ace 3

The OnePlus Ace 3 will launch in China on January 4 (Thursday). Its press conference will begin at 2:30 PM local time (GMT+8).

The Ace 3 will look similar to the OnePlus 12. It will flaunt a 6.78-inch 1.5K 120Hz curved OLED display and house a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip.

The device will sport a 50MP (wide) + 8MP (ultrawide) + 2MP (macro) triple camera setup and a 16MP selfie camera. It will draw energy from a 5,500mAh battery and carry support for 100W charging.

Honor X50 GT

The Honor X50 GT is scheduled to launch in China on January 4. It will be presented at a conference which will start at 7:30 PM local time (GMT+8).

According to leaks and teasers, the device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC. It will be built around a 6.78-inch flat OLED display offering a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

It will sport a 108MP (wide) + 2MP (macro) dual camera setup and an 8MP selfie camera. Lastly, it will house a 5,800mAh battery and support 35W charging.

The 5G variants heading to the global market are the same models available in the Chinese market. A report that surfaced last week revealed all the important details about the Note 13 (4G) and Note 13 Pro (4G). As can be seen, the renderers of the Note 13 series have mentioned their key specifications.

The Note 13 (4G) has a 5,000mAh battery with 33W charging and a 108-megapixel main camera. It is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 685 chip. On the other hand, the Note 13 Pro (4G) has the Helio G99-Ultra chip, a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging, and an OIS-enabled 200-megapixel main camera.

The Note 13 5G features a 5,000mAh battery with 33W charging, a 108-megapixel main camera, and dual speakers. It is equipped with the Dimensity 6080 chip. The Note 13 Pro 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip, 4 GB of virtual RAM, and a 200-megapixel main camera with OIS support. Both phones have an FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display integrated with a fingerprint sensor.

Xiaomi has been preparing to launch the highly anticipated Redmi Note 13 series in India soon. The release in the region had been teased recently, and now, the official launch date for the Note 13 lineup has been confirmed. So here are all the details.

Redmi Note 13 Series Arrives in January 2024

On X (formerly Twitter), the Chinese tech giant shared a new teaser image poster that confirmed the launch date of the Redmi Note 13 series. The Note 13, Note 13 Pro, and Note 13 Pro+ models are set to be unveiled in India on 4th January 2024. Earlier this month, we covered another teaser that hinted at the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G’s (Review) January launch timeframe.

Ahead of the global release, the high end Pro models of the lineup were spotted on the TDRA certification platform. Similarly, the smartphones were even sighted on NBTC. While the Indian pricing for these devices is still at large, the Note 13 Pro series had their pricing leaked for the European market. To recall, the Note 13 Pro and Note 13 Pro+ were listed with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage in the region, carrying the price tag of 450 Euros and 500 Euros respectively.

For those unaware, the Note 13 Pro and 13 Pro+ sports a tall 6.67-inch AMOLED display that offers 120Hz refresh rate, 1800 nits of peak brightness, 2160Hz touch sampling rate, and 1920 PWM dimming. The top end Pro+ model also offers curved screens. Under the hood, the 13 Pro is equipped with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC while the 13 Pro+ variant will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra SoC. A large 5,000mAh and 5,100mAh battery pack powers the devices, respectively. The smartphone has been spotted on various certification websites, suggesting that its global release is imminent. Ahead of their global release, the European pricing of the Redmi Note 13 Pro and 13 Pro+ has been leaked by Appuals.

Redmi Note 13 Pro/Note 13 Pro+ European Price

As per leak, both the Redmi Note 13 Pro and 13 Pro+ will be offered in a single memory configuration, with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. And they will come in three colors: Black, Blue, and White.

More importantly, the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G will cost around EUR 450, while the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G will cost around EUR 500. However, the outlet suggests the prices may vary slightly depending on the local VAT rates in different countries.

Specifications

To recap, both the Note 13 Pro and 13 Pro+ have a 6.67-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen with 1800 nits of brightness, 2160Hz touch sampling, and 1920Hz PWM dimming. The only difference is that the Pro+ has a curved screen, while the 13 Pro has a flat one.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro uses a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor and has a 5000mAh battery with 120W fast charging. On the other hand, the Note 13 Pro+ is powered by a Dimensity 7200-Ultra processor and has a 5100mAh battery with 67W fast charging.

Unfortunately, the TDRA certification does not reveal any finer details like pricing or specifications regarding the upcoming devices. However, the hardware should be similar to the Chinese variants that were announced in the brand’s home market previously. In other words, the global variants of the Redmi Note 13 Pro series could retain the 6.67-inch AMOLED display that offers 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 1600 nits of peak brightness.

The Chinese tech giant’s Redmi Note 13 Pro was recently spotted on Thailand’s NBTC certification. The appearance on the database hints that the global launch of the device could be near. Redmi Note 13 Pro sighted on the platform carrying the model number 23117RA68G. Just last month, the Note 13 Pro global variant surfaced on the FCC certification.

Similarly, the global model of the device was also sighted on the popular benchmarking platform, GeekBench. Here, the device was listed with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC that is paired with 8GB of RAM. The Redmi Note 13 Pro global version was running on Android 13 OS out of the box. While there’s no official confirmation, a reliable tipster claims Xiaomi plans to launch Note 13 Pro as a Poco-branded smartphone outside China.

Almost every Poco smartphone you see out there is a rebadged Redmi smartphone. This is true from the very first Poco F1 to the latest Poco F5. Kacper Skrzypek says the Redmi Note 13 Pro will also be rebranded as a Poco smartphone. However, they note the handset will launch with its original moniker as well.

It’s still unclear which Poco phone the Redmi Note 13 Pro will be rebranded as, but based on past trends, it’s likely to be a member of the Poco X series. Chinese tech blogger Digital Chat Station has shared further details of the Redmi Note 13 series. The tipster confirmed that the models will be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2. The new chipset will be built on Samsung 4nm silicon and features four large cores with a clock frequency of 2.4GHz as well as four energy-efficient cores clocked at 1.95GHz each. The chip is also equipped with an X62 modem and FastConnect 6700 connection system, as well as three 12-bit ISPs that support up to 200 MP shooting. The Octa-core chipset also pairs with an Adreno GPU.

The entire Redmi Note 13 series will also have an eye-protecting flexible screen without plastic brackets. The Redmi Note series is one of the most popular smartphone lineups worldwide. Earlier this month, the next-gen Redmi Notes were confirmed to debut soon. A few days back, the brand revealed that the launch is happening this week.

Apart from disclosing the launch date, Redmi has also been teasing the features of its upcoming phones. Other than official teasers, we have been learning about these devices from other sources, such as leaks and certifications.

Here in this article, we have compiled everything that’s known about the forthcoming Redmi Note 13 series in one place. Let’s go through the details.

Redmi Note 13 Series Launch Date

The Redmi Note 13 series is scheduled to launch in China on September 21. It will be announced at a conference that will begin at 7 PM GMT+8.

Officially, Redmi has confirmed three devices, namely Redmi Note 13 Pro, Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus, and Redmi Note 13 Yibo Edition. However, we are expecting the vanilla Redmi Note 13 as well, even though the information regarding it is bleak.

Either way, if you are interested in watching the event, it will be live-streamed on Weibo and other leading Chinese video streaming platforms.

Redmi Note 13 Series Design

The Redmi Note 13 series will arrive with a different design compared to the Redmi Note 12 lineup. The new design will not be totally different as the similarity between the previous-gen design will be there.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro will retain the glass sandwich build with a flat frame. However, the camera island will be inspired by the Xiaomi 13 series but with protruding modules.

On the other hand, the camera placement on the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus will be similar to the Redmi Note 12 Turbo. But it will have a curved display and a faux leather back. The Redmi Note 13 Yibo will likely be based on it with some variations in terms of color and pattern.

Unfortunately, we have no details on the design of the Redmi Note 13.

Redmi Note 13 Series Specifications

The Redmi Note 13 Pro and the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus will flaunt 1.5K OLED displays. This makes them the first Redmi Notes to sport a screen with more than FHD+ resolution. Also, they will be the first Redmi Notes to come with an in-screen fingerprint sensor.

Additionally, the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus will be the first Redmi Note to feature a curved display. Its screen will offer 1800 nits peak brightness level,1920Hz PWM dimming, and DC dimming. In other words, these handsets will arrive with multiple firsts in the display department.

Further, Redmi has officially confirmed the chips powering these phones. The MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra and Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 will be present inside the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus and Redmi Note 13 Pro, respectively.

Both Pro models will sport a custom version of the 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP3 Discovery Edition sensor. However, for some reason, only the Pro Plus version will have OIS (Optical Image Stabilization).

As for energy, the Redmi Note 13 Pro will be backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 67W charging. While the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus will house a 5,120mAh battery with 120W charging support.

Since the Redmi Note 13 Yibo is expected to be based on the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus, it will have the same specs as the latter. Whereas, we don’t have any info on the Redmi Note 13.

Redmi Note 13 Series Expected Price

The Redmi Note 13 series may start around ¥1,200 (~$165) for the vanilla model. While the Pro and Pro Plus variants could begin at ¥1,700 (~$235) and ¥2,200 (~$300), respectively.

These prices are based on the launch pricing of the Redmi Note 12 series from 2022. So they may not be accurate as the new-gen models will come with many upgrades.

Since Xiaomi is known for disruptive pricing, especially in China we wouldn’t be surprised if the Redmi Note 13 series cost about the same as the Redmi Note 12 series or just a little more.
