Xiaomi continues to expand the HyperOS 3 update to more devices. The latest to join the party are Poco X7, Poco X7 Pro, and Redmi Note 14 Pro. The Android 16-based update introduces a range of exciting upgrades, enhanced AI capabilities, and numerous under-the-hood improvements to enhance the user experience.

As spotted by Xiaomitime, the HyperOS 3 for the Poco X7 and Redmi Note 14 Pro comes with the firmware version OS3.0.4.0.WOOMIXM, whereas the Poco X7 Pro gets it as OS3.0.2.0.WOJEUXM. This major upgrade has a massive download size of 6.5GB, and therefore, it’s recommended to use a Wi-Fi connection for a smooth upgrade.

If you’re rocking any of these Poco or Redmi phones, check if the HyperOS 3 update is available for your device by navigating to Settings > About Phone > System Update. Please note that the update is rolled out in stages, so it may take some time for the update to appear on your device.

Before downloading the update, ensure that the device has sufficient storage and that it has at least 40% battery remaining before hitting the install button. You can also back up important data for additional protection.

So it will likely arrive as the cheapest or entry level phone in the upcoming lineup.

The report sourced the pricing from retail listings, which revealed that the Redmi Note 14 4G will cost around 240 Euros for the 8GB + 256GB variant. It will be available in three colors options, namely Mightnight Black, Ocean Blue, and Lime Green. The three phones are the same as the ones released in China. However, it is worth noting that the base version has an extra rear camera (ultrawide unit).

Unsurprisingly, the Pro Plus offers the best features of all. It comes with a 1.5K 120Hz curved OLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip, and a 50MP 2.5x telephoto camera. Whereas the Pro features a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra SoC and misses out on the telephoto camera.

Finally, the vanilla variant arrives with an FHD+ 120Hz OLED display and a MediaTek Dimensity 7025 Ultra chip.

Motorola Moto G35

Motorola will announce the price and availability of the Moto G35 in India on December 10 (Tuesday). The phone was unveiled in some markets a few months back.

It is built around a 6.72-inch 120Hz display (LCD). Under the hood, it houses a Unisoc T760 chip and a 5,000mAh battery which supports 18W charging.

Further, the handset comes with a 50MP main camera, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a dedicated MicroSD card slot.

Realme Neo 7

The Realme Neo 7 will be made official in China on December 11 (Wednesday). It will be the first non-GT Neo phone from the brand.

The handset will be run by a MediaTek Dimensity 9300 Plus SoC. It will draw power from a huge 7,000mAh battery and support 80W wired charging.

The device will sport a 6.78-inch 1.5K 120Hz LTPO and a 50MP + 8MP dual camera system. It will be available in three colors, such as black, white, and blue.

Vivo X200 Series

The Vivo X200 series is set to debut in India on December 12 (Thursday). There will be two phones: Vivo X200 and Vivo X200 Pro.

Both handsets are powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chip. However, the pro variant has a slightly larger display and a better camera system.

Only the 50MP ultrawide unit and the 32MP selfie camera are the same on the two. Otherwise, the Pro variant has a larger 50MP main sensor and the periscope telephoto shooter is a 3.7x 200MP unit instead of a 50MP 3x sensor.

Both support 90W wired charging but only the pro can charge wireless at 30W.

The Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G sports a tall 6.67-inch pOLED display that has an FHD+ resolution. It would likely support a high refresh rate as well. This smartphone can be seen in the database in multiple storage configurations. This includes 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 512GB options.

A massive 5,500mAh battery pack is expected to power this smartphone. This is larger than its predecessor which had a 5,000mAh cell. However, the fast charging speeds are still unclear. In the latest news, the 4G version of the Redmi Note 14 Pro has surfaced on the FCC listing with the model number 24116RACCG, revealing some details about the device.

The 4G version packs an FHD+ display and a 5500 mAh battery

Firstly, the phone will offer a 6.67″ POLED display that has FHD+ (1080 x 2400) resolution. For context, the 5G version offers a 6.67″ AMOLED display that has a slightly higher 1.5K (1220 x 2712) resolution.

The listing also confirms that the phone will come in four different storage and memory configurations – 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB, and 12GB+512GB.

On the inside, the phone will pack a 5500mAh battery, the same as the 5G variant. Given the phone packs a slightly less capable chipset (that also consumes less power) the phone may even surpass its 5G counterpart in battery life, especially considering the lower resolution of the display. The FCC listing also suggests that we are nearing the launch date of the device. The phone has already made its appearance on the IMEI database.

The predecessor, the Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G, was launched in January this year with a 5000 mAh battery, support for 67W wired charging, and a 200 MP main camera.

That said, Redmi has switched to a more reasonable 50MP main sensor this year with the 5G version and will likely do the same with the 4G version as well.

According to a previous report, the phone could come with a MediaTek SoC, though the exact chipset has not been disclosed yet. Tecno Phantom V Fold 2, Phantom V Flip 2

Redmi Note 14 Series

The render, shared by the publication TechBoilers, reveals a notable design shift for the Note 14 Pro. Its predecessor, the Redmi Note 13 Pro has its cameras positioned on the side without a dedicated module. However, the Note 14 Pro seems to have moved the cameras to the center and within a distinctive squircle module. 

The phone can be seen with three cameras and an LED flash, though specific sensor details are still unknown. The CAD render also aligns with a design sketch of the Redmi Note 14 Pro series shared by reliable tipster Digital Chat Station a while ago. So while it may not be the final version, it’s likely the closest representation we’ve seen so far.

Redmi launched the Note 13 series in China last September, and rumors suggest a similar timeframe for the Redmi Note 14 lineup. This means we can expect an official announcement as early as next month.

We are expecting at least three smartphones in the Note 14 series initially: the standard Note 14, Note 14 Pro, and Note 14 Pro Plus. All models are rumored to feature a 1.5K AMOLED panel.

Redmi is now reportedly working on the Redmi Note 14 series of smartphones for China. The radio certification platform in China approved three upcoming Xiaomi phones with model numbers 24115RA8EC, 24094RAD4C, and 24094RAD4C last month. The 3C authority of the country has reportedly approved the 24090RA29C variant. When it arrives on the market, it is likely that the said device will bear the Redmi Note 14 brand.

Redmi Note 14 3C certification

The Redmi 24094RAD4C’s 3C certification indicates that it may ship with an MDY-17-EE charger. To recall, the Redmi Note 13, which featured the Dimensity 6080 chipset, came equipped with 33W rapid charging. As far as the Note 14 is concerned, it seems that the new charger will support up to 45W fast charging.

Unfortunately, Redmi Note 14 specifications are unknown. The 3C certification is a good hint that the device may either launch by the end of this month or in September.

A recent report revealed that the Redmi Note 14 will also have global and Indian variants. Their corresponding model numbers, such as 24094RAD4G and 24094RAD4I, have already appeared in the IMEI database. It is probable that the Note 14 series will arrive in other markets in January 2025.

Purported Redmi Note 14 series bags radio certification

Last month, three Redmi phones with model numbers 24115RA8EC, 24094RAD4C, and 24094RA29C were spotted in the IMEI database. The listings did not reveal their exact monikers. While they are said to be part of the Note 14 series, there is no clarity on which model number corresponds to the Note 14 Pro+, Note 14 Pro, and Note 14. The global versions and Indian variants of the above-mentioned Chinese variants were also spotted.

Now, the 24115RA8EC, 24094RAD4C, and 24094RA29C Redmi phones have received approval from the radio certification platform in China. Realme has begun teasing the launch of its upcoming Realme 13 Pro series in India. The first teaser shows only a part of the phone’s camera module, keeping the overall design a secret.

However, a tech insider known as Digital Chat Station has shared a design sketch revealing the back of the phone. The leak also includes a sneak peek of the upcoming Redmi Note 14 Pro series. Let’s discuss both.

So the Realme 13 Pro (left in the sketch) appears to retain a design similar to its predecessor, the Realme 12 Pro, featuring a circular camera island on the back.

In contrast, the Redmi Note 14 Pro series (right in the sketch) seems to be embracing a design overhaul. Unlike the Redmi Note 13 Pro, which opted for a camera lens arrangement on the left side of the phone, the Note 14 Pro appears to introduce a centrally aligned rectangular camera module.

Specifications for the Redmi Note 14 Pro are still under wraps, but a previous report suggests it will sport a 1.5K curved display with a centered punch-hole cutout for the front camera. The rear camera setup is rumored to be led by a 50MP main sensor.

Turning to the Realme 13 Pro series, leaks suggest both the Realme 13 Pro and 13 Pro+ will feature a 6.7-inch curved AMOLED FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. 

They are also expected to run on Realme UI 5, based on the latest Android 14 operating system, and will reportedly come in four configurations: 8/128GB, 8/256GB, 12/256GB, and a top-tier option with 12/512GB.

Color options for the 13 Pro are speculated to be Monet Gold, Monet Purple, and Sky Green, while the Pro+ edition might be available in Monet Gold and Emerald Gold.

Further details about the Realme 13 Pro’s chipset, battery, and camera are yet to be revealed. However, leaks suggest the Realme 13 Pro+ might pack a 5,050mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging. 

It’s also rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset and features a Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The phone’s dimensions are speculated to be 161.34 x 73.91 x 8.23mm with a weight of around 190 grams.

Tipster claims the main camera will be downgraded to 50MP

According to the tipster, the mid-range phone will offer a 1.5K micro-curved panel with a centered punch-hole cutout for the front camera.

He also added that there will be a 50MP “large” main sensor but no periscope telephoto. Unlike the predecessor, the phone could come with a centered elliptical camera island. Referring to the comment area, this phone is expected to be the Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro. Unfortunately, this is all the information about the phone he could share.

For reference, the Redmi Note 13 Pro comes with a 6.67″ 2712×1220 flat AMOLED display with slim bezels. There is a 16MP centered punch-hole selfie camera and a 200 MP + 8 MP + 2MP setup on the rear. The high-resolution main camera of the predecessor comes with OIS, multi-directional PDAF, f/1.7 aperture, and a sensor size of 1/1.4″. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset and is paired with 8GB or 12GB RAM. The phone has a 5100mAh battery and supports 67W fast wired charging.

Redmi Note 13 Pro +, however, is Redmi’s first curved-screen mobile phone that supports 120W wired charging and packs a 5000 mAh battery. This phone also houses the same camera system as the Pro model and has the same display resolution.

The Redmi Note 14 series is reportedly set to launch in September and has already appeared in the IMEI database. Six out of nine model numbers include “2409,” suggesting a September release, while the remaining three include “2411,” possibly indicating a November release. This could mean the series will debut in China in September, with other markets following in November.

Digital Chat Station suggests that one phone in the lineup will feature a high-resolution 1.5K AMOLED display with a high refresh rate. And it will be powered by the Qualcomm SM7635 chip, commercially known as the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3.

Although the tipster didn’t explicitly name the device, based on specifications, it could be the Redmi Note 14 Pro which will be the successor to the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2-powered Redmi Note 13 Pro. The leak also hints at a long-lasting battery likely with a capacity of 5000mAh or even higher.
