<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Xiaomi/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Xiaomi</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> launched the Redmi Note 7 series </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/02/28/redmi-note-7-pro-india-launch/"><span style="font-weight: 400">at the end of February 2019</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> in India. The handsets debuted with MIUI 10 based on Android Pie. All the three phones in the series were later updated to MIUI 11 later that year.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">However, the company started seeding out </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/06/09/redmi-note-7-pro-finally-gets-android-10-stable-update-in-china/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Android 10 update</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> to these devices only in late June, followed by a</span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/08/11/redmi-note-7-7s-7-pro-updated-to-android-10-in-india/"><span style="font-weight: 400"> wider rollout</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> in August. In the same month, the Redmi Note 7 Pro started receiving </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/08/07/redmi-note-7-pro-receives-miui-12-stable-update-in-china/"><span style="font-weight: 400">MIUI 12 update in China</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">, which was further </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/09/21/redmi-note-7-pro-finally-gets-miui-12-update-in-india/"><span style="font-weight: 400">extended to more regions</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> in September.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Then, in late October, the MIUI 12 update was made available for </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-note-7/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Redmi Note 7</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> and </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-note-7s/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Redmi Note 7S</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">. A month later in November, these two handsets have now begun to get the same update in India.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Since these two smartphones are basically the same phone with different primary cameras (12MP vs 48MP), they run the same software build. Hence, the MIUI 12 update is </span><a href="https://t.me/miui12_official/1689"><span style="font-weight: 400">common</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> for them with build number </span><b>V12.0.1.0.QFGINXM</b><span style="font-weight: 400">. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Currently, the update is in Stable Beta form, which means it is only available for limited users. If these early adopters don’t face any major issues, the update will be rolled out to more users in the coming days.</span></p>
