<p>Infinix finally ventured into the tablet market with its new <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/08/12/infinix-xpad-launched/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Infinix Xpad</a>. Recently, there have been several tablet launches and the Xpad is a budget model. But in this category, there is another worthy contender, which is the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/07/29/redmi-pad-se-4g-tablet-launched-in-india/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Redmi Pad SE 4G</a>. So here&#8217;s a head-to-head comparison of these two tablets. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/Infinity-Xpad-vs-Redmi-Pad-SE-4G-1024x576.jpg?x10805" alt="Infinity Xpad vs Redmi Pad SE 4G" class="wp-image-645040" width="841" height="472" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/Infinity-Xpad-vs-Redmi-Pad-SE-4G-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/Infinity-Xpad-vs-Redmi-Pad-SE-4G-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/Infinity-Xpad-vs-Redmi-Pad-SE-4G-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/Infinity-Xpad-vs-Redmi-Pad-SE-4G-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/Infinity-Xpad-vs-Redmi-Pad-SE-4G-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/Infinity-Xpad-vs-Redmi-Pad-SE-4G-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/Infinity-Xpad-vs-Redmi-Pad-SE-4G.jpg 1280w" sizes="(max-width: 841px) 100vw, 841px" /><figcaption>Infinity Xpad (L) vs Redmi Pad SE 4G (R)</figcaption></figure></div>

<h3>Infinix Xpad vs Redmi Pad SE 4G: Design &amp; Display</h3>

<p>Xiaomi unveiled the Redmi Pad SE 4G with a compact body that measures just 8.8 mm in thickness and weighs 370 grams. On the other hand, the Infinix Xpad was announced with a flat frame with a metal unibody. This adds to its premium feel. Both models have a flat panel that is surrounded by sizeable bezels, although these are uniform in size on the Xpad.</p>

<p>The Infinix Xpad was announced with a tall 11-inch LCD display that offers an FHD+ resolution, 440 nits of peak brightness, and a 90Hz refresh rate. This makes it have a significantly taller screen and higher resolution since the Redmi Pad SE 4G features an 8.7-inch LCD panel with HD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, Corning Gorilla Glass 3, and 600 nits of peak brightness. So it would seem that Infinix&#8217;s offering has a clear edge over the Redmi tablet.</p>

<h3>Hardware</h3>

<p>Under the hood, the first ever tablet from Infinix is equipped with the MediaTek Helio G99 Ultimate processor. The chipset is rumored to be coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. A large 7,000mAh battery pack powers this device, which supports 18W wired fast charging. On the software side, the tablet runs on the Android 14 OS based XOS custom skin out of the box. The company also offers the XArena Game Space, which brings three different power modes for improved gaming performance. Other notable features include ChatGPT powered ChatGPT voice assistant, USB-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, quad speakers, and LTE connectivity.</p>

<p>In contrast to this, the Redmi Pad SE 4G was released with the Helio G85 processor that is paired with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. Users can even expand storage by p to 2TB via a microSD card slot. A sizeable 6,650mAh battery pack runs this device, which only supports standard 10W charging. This model runs on the Android 14 OS based HyperOS custom skin. Redmi also offers Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C, dual SIM slots, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, and TUV Rheinland certification for low blue light.</p>

<p>For photography, the Redmi Pad SE 4G features an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel selfie shooter on the front. On the other hand, the Infinix Xpad houses an 8-megapixel primary camera at the back and an 8-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calls.</p>

<h3>Pricing &amp; Verdict</h3>

<p>Xiaomi introduced the Redmi Pad SE 4G with a starting price tag of just <a href="https://fkrt.co/UNfH8i" rel="sponsored nofollow">10,999 INR</a> for the 4BG + 64GB option, while the higher end 4GB + 128GB version costs 11,999 INR. So it is clear that the Chinese tech giant released this tablet for budget centric users. </p>

<p>Infinix Xpad is clearly superior in most areas when comparing specs. Although, the brand has yet to officially confirm its pricing or storage configurations. In other words, we can speculate that it could also have a budget priced similarly but it will likely be more expensive than the Redmi Pad SE 4G. </p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/xiaomi/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi </a>just unveiled a bunch of new tablet models in the Indian market. The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/07/29/redmi-pad-pro-launch-india/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Redmi Pad Pro series was announced</a> as a mid-range tablet for users who need capable specs without breaking the bank. Alongside these two models, the company also announced the Redmi Pad SE 4G. This is a more affordable device, but who does this tablet target? Redmi seems to be targeting a rather untapped segment in the market.</p>

<h3>Redmi Pad SE 4G: What makes it special?</h3>

<p>The Chinese brand <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/07/29/redmi-pad-se-4g-tablet-launched-in-india/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">unveiled the Redmi Pad SE 4G earlier today</a> (29th July 2024). While tablets have gotten taller with larger screen real estate, the Pad SE 4G sports a modest 8.7-inch display with an HD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, and up to 600 nits of peak brightness. It is equipped with the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, which is paired with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="600" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/925f6bebbdffbea6e2c05d8ea13cffe3600x60085.png?x10805" alt="Redmi Pad SE 4G" class="wp-image-641928" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/925f6bebbdffbea6e2c05d8ea13cffe3600x60085.png 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/925f6bebbdffbea6e2c05d8ea13cffe3600x60085-300x300.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/925f6bebbdffbea6e2c05d8ea13cffe3600x60085-150x150.png 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/925f6bebbdffbea6e2c05d8ea13cffe3600x60085-420x420.png 420w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /><figcaption>Redmi Pad SE 4G</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>A large 6,650mAh battery pack powers this tablet with support for standard 10W charging. For optics, you get an 8-megapixel camera on the back and a 5-megapixel selfie shooter on the front. Other notable features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos support, and an IP53 rating for water and dust resistance. All of this is offered for a starting price tag of 10,999 INR. This makes it a decent budget offering.</p>

<h3>So who is it for?</h3>

<p>At this price range, this is an affordable tablet that targets everyone on a strict budget but requires a new tablet. You get a 4G enabled dual SIM that lets you make calls and access mobile data. This means that it isn&#8217;t just a cheap tablet as it also doubles as an entry-level computing device. So the Redmi Pad SE 4G is a viable option for students and kids as well. The pricing is undoubtedly what makes it attractive to this demographic, but its overall hardware package is also what makes it worth buying. </p>

<h3>The Competition</h3>

<p>Xiaomi&#8217;s Redmi Pad SE 4G is special since it barely has any rival at this price point. The closest competition is a two year old tablet from <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/02/28/lenovo-tab-m10-plus-3rd-gen-launched-with-a-2k-display-and-android-12-os/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Lenovo dubbed the Tab M10 Plus</a>. It has a taller 10.61-inch 2K display but it is slightly more expensive (around 14,499 INR). </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="943" height="707" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/Lenovo-Tab-M10-Plus-3.jpeg?x10805" alt="Lenovo Tab M10 Plus" class="wp-image-446231" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/Lenovo-Tab-M10-Plus-3.jpeg 943w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/Lenovo-Tab-M10-Plus-3-300x225.jpeg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/Lenovo-Tab-M10-Plus-3-768x576.jpeg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/Lenovo-Tab-M10-Plus-3-80x60.jpeg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/Lenovo-Tab-M10-Plus-3-265x198.jpeg 265w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/Lenovo-Tab-M10-Plus-3-696x522.jpeg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/Lenovo-Tab-M10-Plus-3-560x420.jpeg 560w" sizes="(max-width: 943px) 100vw, 943px" /><figcaption>Lenovo Tab M10 Plus (3rd Gen)</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The chipset that powers this tablet is also a slightly slower Helio G80. There are Pros and Cons on between these two tablets. Lenovo brings a larger battery, but for 10,999 INR, the Redmi Pad SE 4G has calling and mobile data support on the base model. Being a recent release, you also get longer software support. </p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/xiaomi/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi</a>&#8216;s Redmi sub-brand is set to make a splash in the Indian <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/tablet/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">tablet</a> market with the simultaneous launch of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/redmi-pad-se-4g/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Redmi Pad SE 4G</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/redmi-pad-pro-5g/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Redmi Pad Pro 5G</a> on July 29. While these two tablets cater to different segments, both promise to offer compelling features at competitive price points. Let&#8217;s delve into what we can expect from these tablets:</p>

<h3><strong>Redmi Pad SE 4G</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="640" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/Redmi-Pad-SE-4G-1024x640.png?x10805" alt="Redmi Pad SE 4G" class="wp-image-640840" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/Redmi-Pad-SE-4G-1024x640.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/Redmi-Pad-SE-4G-300x188.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/Redmi-Pad-SE-4G-768x480.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/Redmi-Pad-SE-4G-696x435.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/Redmi-Pad-SE-4G-1068x668.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/Redmi-Pad-SE-4G-672x420.png 672w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/Redmi-Pad-SE-4G.png 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>The Redmi Pad SE 4G is the successor to the Wi-Fi-only model launched last year. As the name suggests, the biggest upgrade is the inclusion of 4G connectivity, making it more versatile for users on the go.</p>

<p>While the full specifications are yet to be officially confirmed, leaks suggest that the tablet will feature an 8.7-inch HD (1340 x 800 pixels) display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Helio G99 processor, and a decent 6650mAh battery with 18W charging.</p>

<p>Design-wise, the Redmi Pad SE 4G is expected to have a boxy form factor with thick bezels, which is typical for budget tablets. The tablet is expected to feature dual speakers with Dolby Atmos support, providing an enhanced audio experience for media consumption. It is also likely to have a 3.5mm headphone jack.</p>

<p>In terms of photography, the Redmi Pad SE 8.7 is expected to come with an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera, capable of capturing basic photos and videos. The tablet will come with 128GB of inbuilt storage along with expandable storage of up to 2TB via a microSD card.</p>

<p>As per the official teaser, the Redmi Pad SE 4G will come in green and blue colors.</p>

<h3><strong>Redmi Pad Pro 5G</strong></h3>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="640" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/Redmi-Pad-Pro-5G-1024x640.png?x10805" alt="" class="wp-image-640841" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/Redmi-Pad-Pro-5G-1024x640.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/Redmi-Pad-Pro-5G-300x188.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/Redmi-Pad-Pro-5G-768x480.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/Redmi-Pad-Pro-5G-696x435.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/Redmi-Pad-Pro-5G-1068x668.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/Redmi-Pad-Pro-5G-672x420.png 672w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/Redmi-Pad-Pro-5G.png 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>The Redmi Pad Pro 5G is a premium offering with a focus on performance and 5G connectivity. It is the 5G variant of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-pad-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Redmi Pad Pro</a> that has already <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/05/30/redmi-pad-pro-5g-launched-in-china/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">been launched in China</a>.</p>

<p>Redmi Pad Pro 5G boasts a larger 12.1-inch 2.5K LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision support. The tablet is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC, a more powerful chipset than the one in the Redmi Pad SE 4G, ensuring smooth multitasking and gaming performance.</p>

<p>The tablet&#8217;s design is expected to be more premium with slimmer bezels and a metal build. It comes with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage, expandable via a microSD card.</p>

<p>The tablet is equipped with quad speakers supporting Dolby Atmos for an immersive audio experience, making it ideal for media consumption and gaming. It also features an 8MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera for video calls and casual photography.</p>

<p>The Redmi Pad Pro 5G is fueled by a substantial 10,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support, promising long-lasting usage on a single charge.</p>

<h3><strong>Launch and Availability</strong></h3>

<p>Both the Redmi Pad SE 4G and Redmi Pad Pro 5G are scheduled to launch in India on July 29th. Pricing details are yet to be revealed, but given Redmi&#8217;s track record of offering competitive prices, we can expect these tablets to be attractively priced.</p>

<p>The Redmi Pad SE 4G will likely be the more affordable option, while the Redmi Pad Pro 5G will cater to those seeking a more premium tablet experience.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/xiaomi/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi</a> has officially announced the upcoming launch of the Redmi Pad SE 4G, a variant of the previously released <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/redmi-pad-se/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Redmi Pad SE</a>. The new model will be launched in India on July 29. It will be available to purchase on Flipkart, mi.com, and in offline stores.</p>

<p>It introduces a few notable changes while maintaining several features from its predecessor. It will retain 128GB storage, Dolby Atmos support, an 8MP rear camera, and a 5MP front-facing camera. However, the rear camera design is different, and it now includes an LED flash. Additionally, the tablet will feature a new grip accessory that can be attached to its back.</p>

<p>Xiaomi has confirmed that this version will have an HD screen, with earlier reports indicating it will sport an 8.7-inch display, a reduction from the 11-inch screen found in the Wi-Fi-only model. The tablet will also be heading to other markets as it was recently spotted on Thailand&#8217;s NBTC and Singapore&#8217;s IMDA certifications.</p>

<p>In related news, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/poco/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">POCO</a> is launching a new variant of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/07/16/poco-c61-airtel-locked-version-unveiled-with-50gb-free-date-costs-rs-5999/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">POCO C61</a> (4GB RAM + 64GB storage) exclusively for Airtel users in India on July 17th via Flipkart for Rs 5,999.
