At the end of June, news broke out that Xiaomi will be hiking the price of its Mi and Redmi-branded smart televisions in India from July. As expected, the company has increased the price of 10 TV models in the country.

According to a report by 91Mobiles, Xiaomi has hiked the price of 7 Mi TVs and 3 Redmi TVs in India. The products affected by this range from the entry-level 32-inch model to up to 65-inch model. The maximum price increase per TV is ₹2,000, whereas the minimum is ₹500.

The new price is live now live on all the official online retailers. It should be the same and maybe even more at offline retail stores.

The increase in the price of Xiaomi televisions in India is a direct result of the prolonged shortage of ‘Open Cell’ (panel) globally. The panel of TVs accounts for 70% of their cost. They are mostly imported by India from China and Vietnam.
