Xiaomi has released many laptops under its own name in India, such as the Mi NoteBook 14 series. Now, the company is expected to offer new laptops in the Indian market under the Redmi branding. The much-rumored RedmiBook was recently teased and it was finally scheduled to launch on August 3 in India.

Initially, Redmi did not disclose which model it will debut, nor did it show any of its designs. But, rumors suggested that the company will launch the RedmiBook 15 laptop at a budget price range in India.

Soon after it was rumored, the company confirmed the laptop’s arrival by creating a landing page on its official website. After corroborating the past leaks and the details received from the landing page, we’ve learned plenty of details about the laptop.

Display and Design

The upcoming RedmiBook 15 will feature the same design as the other RedmiBook laptop models launched in China. As the name suggests, it is expected to feature a 15.6-inch display with a Full-HD resolution. It will be an LCD screen with a thin-bezel design.

The laptop will have a similar design footprint to that of Apple’s MacBooks. It will have a Redmi branding below the display and feature a chiclet-style keyboard.

Cameras, Hardware, Software

According to the leaks, the RedmiBook 15 for India will have an HD webcam. It is expected to come powered by Inter’s 11th generation Core i3 and Core i5 processors paired with 8GB of RAM. It will come in two variants – a base 256GB of PCIe SSD storage variant and a higher 512GB of PCIe SSD storage variant.

The laptop will come with two 2W speakers making it produce a stereo sound experience. It is expected to come with a battery that will last for up to 10 hours and support 65W fast charging technology. The Notebook will run on Windows 10 operating system.

Pricing and Availability of the RedmiBook

The RedmiBook 15 is expected to come under ₹50,000(~$672) in India. It will be available in a single Charcoal Grey color variant.

Regarding its availability, Redmi has officially confirmed that the laptop will launch today i.e. 3rd August at 12 PM.

Notably, the RedmiBook 15 will compete with the yet to launch Realme Book. For those who are unaware, the Realme Book is expected to come under ₹40,000(~$538) in India.
