However, its specifications will be different from the Reno6 Pro handset that debuted in other markets.

According to tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore, the OPPO Reno6 Pro 5G for Europe will feature a 6.55-inch AMOLED FHD+ display that offers a 90Hz refresh rate and a 402ppi pixel density. The device features a front-facing camera of 32-megapixel.

The rear camera setup of the phone will feature a 50-megapixel main camera, a 16-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 13-megapixel telephoto sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The device will come preinstalled with Android 11 OS, and it will be powered by the Snapdragon 870 chipset.

It will be housing a 4,500mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging. The device measures 160.8 x 72.5 x 7.99mm and weighs 188 grams. The leaked specifications suggest that the Reno6 Pro for Europe will be a rebadged version of China’s Reno6 Pro+ 5G.

At present, there is no information available on the pricing of the smartphone for the European markets. The renders show that the handset will be available in grey and blue colors. As far as the vanilla Reno6 for Europe is concerned, it will be the same Dimensity 900 powered device that debuted in China and other markets.

It can be said based on the NBTC listing that the CPH2247 could be launching as the Reno6 Pro. However, the dimensions of the Reno6 Pro do not match CPH2247’s dimensions.

The Reno6 Pro that debuted in China measures 160 x 73.1 x 7.6mm and weighs 177 grams. On the other side, the Chinese Reno6 Pro+ has 160.8 x 72.5 x 8mm dimensions and weighs 188 grams. Hence, there is a possibility that the Snapdragon 870 powered Reno6 Pro+ could be rebranded as the Reno6 Pro in global markets. Yesterday, OPPO confirmed that it will be announcing the Reno6 series of smartphones on May 27 in China. Chinese retailer sites such as Suning and JD.com have listed the Reno6 5G, Reno6 Pro 5G, and Reno6 Pro+ 5G for reservations. These listings carry the official renders and key specifications of the Reno6 trio.

The official renders show that the Reno6 and Reno6 Pro will come in three colors such as Summer Harumi, Galaxy Dream, and Night Sea. The Reno6 and Reno6 Pro have an identical rear design as they feature a rectangle-shaped camera module with three large-sized lenses, a smaller camera, and an LED flash. The Reno6 has a flat display, while the Reno6 Pro’s screen has curved edges.

On the other side, the Reno6 Pro+ 5G also features a curved edge display. Its quad-camera setup has a slightly different arrangement. He is expecting an early launch this year, and considering we are getting the info just three months after the Dec’2020 launch, we can expect towards the end of H1 or the beginning of H2 2021.

Anyway, he hasn’t spoken anything about the naming scheme of the devices but going by the past record, we can expect it to be Reno6, Reno6 Pro, and Reno6 Pro+. These are just our guesses so let’s wait for the official word. Anyway, he also says that OPPO will finally bring the Wireless charging tech to the mid-high segment of devices.

If this turns out to be true, the affordable Reno series of smartphones will support wireless charging. Specifically, he says that the devices will support up to 65W wired fast charging(should be SuperVOOC 3.0) and 30W wireless charging.

It’s too early to comment on the specs of the Reno6 series of devices but looking at the predecessors, we think that OPPO might continue the Qualcomm + MediaTek combo. That said, the top-of-the-line flagship is very likely to feature the next-gen flagship processor of Qualcomm just like the Reno5 Pro+ 5G.
