<p>Talking about the smartphone first, the Find N is the Chinese smartphone maker&#8217;s latest flagship product that targets the ultra high end segment in the market. Furthermore, Find N also marked OPPO&#8217;s entry to the foldable market that is currently being dominated by Samsung. But while Samsung already has an established presence in the segment, the Chinese brand&#8217;s Find N arrives at a price point much cheaper than the former&#8217;s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-z-fold3-5g/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Galaxy Z Fold3</a> series (You can check out our comparison between the two by clicking <strong><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/12/15/oppo-find-n-vs-samsung-galaxy-z-fold3-specs-comparison/">Here</a></strong>).</p>
<p>At the moment, the Find N is set to go on sale on December 23, however, the company had launched the foldable smartphone in limited quantities through both offline and online channels. Furthermore, the device sold out quite quickly in China, which doesn&#8217;t seem surprising considering its pricing rivals other conventional high end phones from Apple and Samsung. Looking at the original pricing, the Find N is available in two storage configurations, namely 8GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB variants.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-431078 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Find-N-Product-Family.jpg?x10805" alt="Oppo" width="11648" height="8736" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Find-N-Product-Family.jpg 11648w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Find-N-Product-Family-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Find-N-Product-Family-768x576.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Find-N-Product-Family-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Find-N-Product-Family-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Find-N-Product-Family-265x198.jpg 265w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Find-N-Product-Family-696x522.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Find-N-Product-Family-1068x801.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Find-N-Product-Family-560x420.jpg 560w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Find-N-Product-Family-1920x1440.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 11648px) 100vw, 11648px" /></p>
<p>The former is priced at 7,699 Yuan (roughly $1,210) while the latter costs 8,999 Yuan (roughly 1,410). But for those looking to buy this smartphone, it might be difficult finding it at this price since it has already been sold out and early buyers are reselling this device for a much higher price tag than the original (Via <a href="https://www.ithome.com/0/592/968.htm" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>ITHome</em></a>). On the second hand/used goods platform, people are selling their unopened base model for 9,299 Yuan (roughly $1,460), while the 512GB version is now being resold for 12,000 Yuan (roughly $1,880). While this isn&#8217;t as bad as the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/11/18/huawei-mate-x2-collector-edition-soldout-in-seconds/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Mate X2 reselling incident</a>, the pricing still quite hefty for those looking to get their hands on what could possibly be the<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/12/15/pete-lau-oppo-find-n-best-foldable/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"> best foldable phone in the market</a>.</p>

Now, just a while after, a number of such employees are attempting to resell the device online.</p>

<p>For those unaware, Tencent recently underwent a restructuring within its organization with shuffling bringing in different parts of its various departments together. After this, the company sent a large number of Mate Xs smartphones to its employees as a gift during an internal event for Tencent PCG (Platform and Content Business Group) on 30th September 2020.</p>
<h6 class="related"><strong>UP NEXT: <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/10/01/asus-rog-zephyrus-duo-15-launch-india-dual-display-intel-i9/">Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 launched in India with a secondary display, Intel Core i9 chip, and more</a></strong></h6>
<p>However, it seems that a number of employees would much rather have cash than a rather expensive smartphone. In just a short while, numerous listings of the gifted Mate Xs have surfaced online at varying price points. People in China also began to notice that since the event, the overall number of Mate Xs smartphones being sold also rose in number, as per a <a href="https://news.mydrivers.com/1/716/716591.htm" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>MyDrivers</em> </a>report.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-345689 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/s_47b970f84a0944aca8845eb40b03580e.png?x10805" alt="Tencent" width="600" height="874" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/s_47b970f84a0944aca8845eb40b03580e.png 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/s_47b970f84a0944aca8845eb40b03580e-206x300.png 206w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/s_47b970f84a0944aca8845eb40b03580e-288x420.png 288w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></p>
<p>The gifted Mate Xs also had the label of customized Tencent variant, which would also likely add to its resale value since it is a rather exclusive limited edition that the general public can&#8217;t simply purchase. The prices range anywhere between the original 16,999 Yuan price and even reaching as high as 19,999 Yuan (roughly 2,950 US Dollars).</p>

The reason for these higher priced reselling was due to the company&#8217;s then invite-only sales system. Now, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/oneplus-8-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">OnePlus 8 Pro</a> is suffering from a similarly inflated resale but this time its caused by a scarcity in the market.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-324798 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/img_5ecd98730957d.png?x10805" alt="OnePlus" width="1734" height="934" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/img_5ecd98730957d.png 1734w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/img_5ecd98730957d-300x162.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/img_5ecd98730957d-768x414.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/img_5ecd98730957d-1024x552.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/img_5ecd98730957d-696x375.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/img_5ecd98730957d-1068x575.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/img_5ecd98730957d-780x420.png 780w" sizes="(max-width: 1734px) 100vw, 1734px" /></p>
<p>The OnePlus 8 series is the latest flagship from the Chinese smartphone vendor. Its high end Pro model went on sale in the US for 900 US Dollars. However, after the initial sales, the stock for the smartphone quickly got cleared by early buyers. Since then, its been weeks and OnePlus have yet to replenish its stocks. Thus, to meet the popular demand, certain listings have been spotted on popular reselling sites like Swappa and eBay.</p>

<p>In these listings, the average sales prices of the OnePlus 8 Pro have reached over 1,100 US Dollars, which is 200 US Dollars over its original MSRP. Notably, one 256GB internal storage variant was even spotted for a whopping 1,300 US Dollars. This is again 300 US Dollars over the original price tag. At the moment, the company has yet to respond to the situation regarding its issues with its supply chains.</p>

In the list, the reseller also added AnTuTu benchmarking stats as well.</p>
<p>For those unaware, Qualcomm released its flagship mobile chipset, Snapdragon 855+ back in the second half of 2019. So in terms of performance, it is very similar in technical prowess with the latest<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/qualcomm-snapdragon-865/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"> Snapdragon 865 SoC</a>. This flagship chip from 2019 was used in various Android flagships from brands including, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/oppo/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Oppo</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/vivo/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Vivo</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/xiaomi/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Xiaomi</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/realme/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Realme</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/oneplus/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">OnePlus</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/nubia/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Nubia</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/asus/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Asus</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/meizu/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Meizu</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/black-shark/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Black Shark</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/iqoo/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">iQOO</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/nubia/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Nubia</a> and more.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class=" wp-image-318209 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/s_d1461814a3b94b1c8fcca2d649826640.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="496" height="2327" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/s_d1461814a3b94b1c8fcca2d649826640.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/s_d1461814a3b94b1c8fcca2d649826640-64x300.jpg 64w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/s_d1461814a3b94b1c8fcca2d649826640-218x1024.jpg 218w" sizes="(max-width: 496px) 100vw, 496px" /></p>
<p>The list released by the second hand smartphone dealer arrives in the form of an image that reveals the highest resale value of certain handsets. The company calculated the value by dividing the market price of a smartphone 6 months after its launch by its original selling price at the initial launch. Then, it multiplies it by 100 to get a percentage.</p>

<p>Through this, we can observe that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-9-pro-5g/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G</a> ranked first since it had a resale value of 76.10 percent. On the second spot, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-black-shark-2-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Black Shark 2 Pro</a> comes in with 72.06 percent while <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/oneplus-7t/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">OnePlus 7T</a> arrives third with 70.80 percent.</p>
