Oppo Find X7 series online reservations cross 1 million in China

Oppo is preparing to launch the Find X7 series of flagship smartphones in the Chinese market. While the announcement is set for next week, online reservations for the devices have gone live and it seems like the Find X7 series is already high in demand.

Oppo Find X7 lineup sees over 1 million reservation

For those unaware, the Chinese tech giant is set to unveil the Find X7 and Find X7 Ultra in its home market on 8th January 2024. Pre-reservations of the devices are already live and now the company recently announced that online reservations for this series across all channels have crossed 1 million. This clearly showcases the popularity of these upcoming high end smartphones.

The Find X7 features the Dimensity 9300 SoC that is paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage. On the other hand, the Find X7 Ultra is expected to be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and similar storage configurations. Both models appear to feature a similar design language with the front have a punch hole cutout with curved edges, while the rear has a dual tone panel with a massive camera module.

The back features a triple camera setup on the rear on the Find X7, while the Find X7 Ultra model offers a quad camera setup. The latter is the first ever smartphone to feature the 1-inch Sony LYT-900 50-megapixel primary camera and it is also the first to offer a dual periscope telephoto shooter. Huawei records over 1 million reservations for its flagship Mate 50 series

Since the US imposed various sanctions against Huawei, the company’s smartphone operations has been struggling and even saw a massive decline in the market. But it seems that the brand has not completely abandoned its smartphone business and its next generation of flagship model, the Mate 50 series, is already gaining some hype.

Due to the changes in US export rules, the major foundries were also banned from shipping cutting edge technology that used US based tech to the Chinese tech giants. This is why Huawei was forced to use Qualcomm’s latest and greatest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoCs, with its 5G capabilities disabled. The 4G only Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor will also power the Huawei’s upcoming 2022 flagship Mate 50 series.

Since the brand had suffered a major blow on its smartphones operations, the company had began focusing on only launching one flagship series in a year. At the moment, Huawei is expected to release the Mate 50 series, which includes 4 models, on 6th September 2022. But prior to the announcement, the brand started taking reservations for the Mate 50 lineup from its official website in China as well as its other e-commerce partners.

And looking at these reservations, we can see that more than 1 million people have already signed up for the Mate 50 series. In other words, this basically means that the company still has a loyal customer base in its home market of China. To be fair, reservations does not imply sales directly like pre-orders. But this still helps showcase the popularity of the brand in the region.

Samsung starts Galaxy Z Fold 4 & Galaxy Z Flip 4 pre-reservations in India

Samsung is gearing up to host its highly anticipated Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event, which is set for August 10. During this event, the company will be announcing its latest generation of foldable smartphones, namely Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4. Now, the company has also started the pre-reservations for both models.

As of right now, the South Korean tech giant has began taking pre-reservation orders for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4. For those unaware, pre-reservations can have early customers gain access to additional benefits and you can pre-reserve both models for a price of just 1,999 INR (roughly 25 US Dollars). Through this, one can be eligible for benefits worth 5,000 INR (roughly 63 US Dollars) after the delivery.

While the pricing for the Indian market has yet to be officially revealed, the company is believe to price the Galaxy Z Flip 4 around 1,080 Euros (roughly 1,108 US Dollars) for its base variant. Unfortunately, the pricing for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 model is still unknown at the moment. Talking about the smartphones itself, Galaxy Z Flip 4 will sport a 6.7 inch AMOLED 120Hz primary display and a 1.9 inch AMOLED secondary screen. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will sport a 7.6 inch AMOLED 120Hz main display and a 6.2 inch external screen.

Both models are expected to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and will likely feature up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The Galaxy Z Flip 4 is expected to be powered by a 4,400mAh battery pack that supports 25W fast charging while the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is also believed to feature the same battery parameters. Huawei Mate 40 RS Porsche Design has already received 210,000 reservations

The Huawei Mate 40 series was just recently announced and is set for a launch date of 30th October 2020 in China. Just prior to the launch, the company has already opened reservations for a few models within the flagship lineup, with the Mate 40 RS Porsche Design already receiving over 210,000 reservations.

As of today (28th October 2020), the number of reservations for the Huawei Mate 40 RS Porsche Design has crossed the 210,000 marks on JD.com, a popular e-retailer in China. The device in question is the ultra high end flagship from the Chinese tech giant and, as the name suggests, carries the signature branding of the luxury supercar maker, Porsche.

The Mate 40 RS Porsche Design features a unique aesthetic that resembles the aerodynamic design of the popular sports car brand. Its rear panel is built from nano-microcrystalline ceramic body that is made to offer a better grip thanks to its texture. Apart from the external design, the device is similar to the flagship Mate 40 and features the 5nm Kirin 9000 processor and a penta camera setup on the rear as well.

The handset was launched for 2,295 EUR (roughly 18,150 Yuan or 2,700 US Dollars). In other words, it is quite expensive, which makes it even more impressive than it has already managed to garner the large number of reservations. Notably, the pre orders for the Mate 40 series was also previously listed on JD.com and were sold out in just 28 seconds flat.

Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Sold Out In Just 50 Seconds In the First Sale

The much talked about Xiaomi Mi Note 2 today went up on its first sale via Xiaomi official website in China and reports emerging indicate that just 50 seconds after the website opened for those who have already made reservations, the flagship device was indicated to have been sold out.

That is a clear evidence of the popularity and acceptance the Mi Note 2 has got among fans and non-fans of Xiaomi alike. One attractive feature is undoubtedly the double curved or hyperboloid display the Note 2 features and not only that, there are lots of other attractive features coupled with the great price tag.

Xiaomi is offering up the Standard Edition of the Mi Note 2 with 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM and a 2799 Yuan price tag as well as the higher version with 6GB RAM + 128 GB ROM and priced at 3299 Yuan, in the flash sale. Buyers also have the options of Bright black and glacier silver colors to choose from. The more pricey Mi Note 2 Global Edition is yet to go on sales by the way.

According to reports, the next flash sale would come up on November 8 and seriously, that is a long time to wait for someone who missed out on getting his own copy during this first sale. The Mi Note 2 is worth the wait, though.

Just as a reminder, the Xiaomi MIX would be up for pre-order or reservations on November 3. Perhaps you are interested in having one of that, you can wait for it but predictably, the flash sale might not even last up to 20 seconds considering that Xiaomi doesn’t have a large enough stock of the Mi MIX due to its ceramic body. Getting it would almost be the same as winning the lottery, don’t you think?
