Xiaomi is preparing to launch the Xiaomi 17 Max later this month, and a steady stream of official teasers has given us a clear idea of what to expect.

Rather than just releasing a slightly larger version of the standard Xiaomi 17, the company is focusing heavily on battery endurance, display efficiency, and camera hardware.

According to Xiaomi executive Lu Weibing, the 17 Max is intended to be a fully upgraded model in the lineup. Here is a look at what we know so far.

Battery Life

Perhaps the most significant upgrade in the Xiaomi 17 Max is its battery. The company has confirmed that the device will pack an 8,000mAh cell. Looking at the rest of the series, this is a clear step up from the 7,000mAh battery found in the standard Xiaomi 17 and the 7,500mAh battery in the 17 Pro Max.

Fitting an 8,000mAh battery into a smartphone naturally raises questions about weight and thickness. To address this, Xiaomi is using its newer silicon-carbon battery technology, which allows for higher energy density in a smaller physical footprint. For charging, leaks indicate the device will support 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging with PPS compatibility.

Display and Design

The device will include a 6.9-inch flat screen with slim bezels, drawing design inspiration from the earlier Xiaomi 15 series. Xiaomi calls this a Super Pixel display, which incorporates a new RGB sub-pixel layout and red luminous materials. According to the company, this combination provides the clarity of a 2K screen but uses less energy than a typical 1.5K OLED panel.

Reports also point to a 120Hz LTPO refresh rate, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, and symmetrical dual speakers. The phone is expected to be available in Sky Blue, White, and Pixel Black, with some variants possibly featuring a ceramic or carbon fiber-style finish on the back panel.

Camera

On the back, the Xiaomi 17 Max features a rounded square camera module that blends into the rear panel. Xiaomi has confirmed that it will be the brand’s first phone to use a Leica-backed 200-megapixel primary camera with a 1/1.4-inch sensor. This higher resolution is intended to help retain detail when zooming in digitally.

Alongside the main sensor, the phone is expected to include a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera for broader shots.

Performance

Under the hood, the Xiaomi 17 Max will be powered by Qualcomm’s top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.

Xiaomi has teased a completely redesigned internal layout for the device, which should drastically improve heat management during heavy multitasking and long gaming sessions.

When can you get it?

The Xiaomi 17 Max is currently available for pre-order in China, with the official launch expected on May 21. We are not sure yet if it’s gonna make it to the global market or not. However, Xiaomi is launching Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro globally on 28th May.

OnePlus is preparing to launch the OnePlus 15T, its latest compact flagship smartphone, in China on March 24, 2026.

The company describes the device as a small-screen powerhouse designed to deliver flagship performance without the usual compromises associated with compact phones.

Here is a detailed look at the key features and specifications of the OnePlus 15T.

Design and Build

The OnePlus 15T has a sleek design with a focus on ergonomics. The phone measures 71.82mm in width, 8.5mm in thickness, and weighs 194 grams. The company claims the weight is evenly balanced, which should make the phone feel comfortable during longer use.

The device will come in three colors: Pure Cocoa, Relaxing Matcha, and Healing White Chocolate. Following the Xiaomi 17 series announcements, Vivo is set to release its next generation of flagship smartphones soon. We already know plenty of details regarding the Vivo X300 lineup through leaks, rumors, and official teasers. So here’s a quick roundup of everything that we know so far.

Display & Design

Last year’s Vivo X200 series consisted of the Vivo X200, Vivo X200 Pro, and Vivo X200 Pro Mini. There was also an X300 Ultra, but the top model debuted a few months later. But this time around, the Chinese brand is shaking things up with just the Vivo X300 and Vivo X300 Pro model. The standard X300 is taking the role of the compact flagship. The design is only getting minor refinements, so the overall design remains the same across generation. Meaning, you still get a large circular camera module, although the X300 series have a flat rear panel and frame.

Official teasers have confirmed a Lucky Color, Cozy Purple, Free Blue and Pure Black colors for the vanilla model and the X300 Pro will arrive in Wilderness Brown, Simple White, Free Blue and Pure Black. Other notable design elements include IP68 + IP69 rating for water and dust resistance and 7.95mm thin body (7.99mm on the X300 Pro). On the front, the Vivo X300 is expected to sport a 6.31-inch LTPO OLED screen with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Meanwhile, the more expensive Pro model gets a taller 6.78-inch panel. Both models are getting an upgraded BOE Q10 Plus OLED screen with support for 1 nit brightness.

Performance

MediaTek recently unveiled its new top of the line mobile chip, the Dimensity 9500. This processor is set to power the upcoming Android flagships, including the Vivo X300 series. Apart from the usual upgrades in performance, you also get improvements in NPU performance, ISP, and even console-like ray tracing support on the D9500. Both the standard and Pro versions will feature the latest chip, with a GeekBench sighting also confirming support for at one configuration with 16GB of RAM.

The base Vivo X300 will feature a 200MP HPB main camera with a 1/1.4-inch sensor size, which will be paired with a 50MP ultra wide angle lens and a 50MP Sony LYT602 periscope telephoto shooter with 3x optical zoom.

For selfies and video calls, the brand will likely offer a 50MP camera on both models. With the Vivo X300 Pro, you get a larger a new 50MP, 1/1.28-inch type CMOS image sensor for the primary camera along with an 85mm 200-megapixel Zeiss APO telephoto camera and a 50MP ultra wide angel lens. The duo will arrive with 4K 60fps portrait video recording, Vivo’s V3+ imaging chip, and CIPA 4.5-level and CIPA 5.5-level advanced optical stabilization.

Launch Timeline

For photography, Honor teased the Magic V Flip 2 with a 200MP main camera on the rear along with a 50MP ultra wide angle lens that has a 120 degree field of view. Meanwhile, the front might house a 50MP selfie camera on the primary display, but users can even use the rear cameras as the selfie shooter.

Launch Date & Color

Honor is set to announce its latest flagship flip phone in its home market of China on 21st August 2025. Google Pixel 10 Pro: Design & Display

In terms of design, Google isn’t bringing a major facelift, so its body appears similar to the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Although, one of the earlier reports did suggest that the brand would make its next-gen foldable slimmer and more durable this year. The hinge mechanism is reportedly getting thinner, with perhaps the biggest upgrade being an IP68 rating. This is a big deal for foldable since the Pixel 10 Pro Fold would be the first of its kind to offer the high Ingress protection. In comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 offers an IP48 rating.

The cover screen is getting slightly larger, measuring 6.4 inches, while the primary panel retains its 8-inch size. OnePlus Nord CE 5: Design & Display

The OnePlus Nord CE 5 is basically a rebranded version of the China exclusive Ace 5 Racing Edition with some internal changes. So the overall design is practically identical. On the rear, you get a slight redesign from its predecessor. In our previous report, we also covered leaked renders of the Nord CE 5, which confirmed that it will be releasing in India in at least 2 color variants. This includes a white and black option (Marble Mist and Black Infinity).

Meanwhile, the front sports a tall 6.77-inch AMOLED display. Based on the earlier Ace 5 Racing Edition release, the screen likely offerings FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Hardware

For a budget phone, OnePlus is packing some capable specifications under the hood. The Nord CE 5 makes a significant shift from Qualcomm to MediaTek. It will be equipped with the new Dimensity 8350 Apex SoC, which is a 4nm based chip. Oppo‘s Reno series is one of its most popular smartphone lineups, especially since these devices target the mid range segment. The Reno phones are more affordable than their flagship lineup but still offer attractive specs and gorgeous designs. With the next gen Reno 14 series being on the horizon, here’s everything we about the upcoming Reno 14 and Reno 14 Pro.

Design and Display

The Chinese tech giant is bringing slight changes in the design elements of the new Reno 14 lineup. The overall look remains the same, but there are slight tweaks in the rear. The camera module in particular is getting touched up with the camera island housing twin oval shaped cutouts for the image sensors.

Apart from this, the front and back remain flat while the corners are rounded. Oppo is rumored to launch the new Reno models with an aluminum alloy frame on the sides for a more robust and premium build. These will likely offer IP68/IP69 rating for superior water and dust resistance.

The Oppo Find X7 series of flagship smartphones are set to launch next week. These devices are highly anticipated and arrive as the company’s latest premium devices, which offer top notch specs and features. So here’s a detailed roundup of the Find X7 and Find X7 Ultra.

Oppo Find X7 Series: Design & Display

After a series of rumors and leaks, the design of the Find X7 series was finally confirmed. A recent hands-on video also offered us an in-depth look at their design. The Find X7 arrives in four variants, namely Sea and Sky, Desert Moon Silver, Smokey Purple, and Starry Sky Black. Black and Purple feature a glass panel on the rear with the large circular camera module, while the other two feature a dual tone design that is complimented by a leather finish on the lower half.

As we get closer to the official announcement, here’s a detailed roundup of all the rumors and leaks we have covered over the past few weeks. Vivo X100 Series: Design & Display

Since these are high end devices, the Vivo X100 lineup will launch with a premium design. Apple‘s next-gen flagship smartphone launch is just around the corner. The company will unveil the brand-new iPhone 15 lineup next week, so here’s a detailed roundup of everything we know about the higher-end iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max (also rumored to be called the iPhone 15 Ultra).

Apple iPhone 15 Pro & 15 Pro Max/Ultra: Design & Display

One of the more notable changes arriving in the iPhone 15 lineup is the improvements in design. The more expensive Pro models are expected to shift away from a stainless steel to a titanium chassis. This will make the devices lighter than the previous generation while also making them stronger. Realme is gearing up to launch a new model from its popular GT lineup of smartphones. The Realme GT 5 is the latest entry in the series and is already a highly anticipated launch in the brand’s home market of China. So here’s a roundup of everything we know regarding the upcoming device.

Realme GT 5: Design & Display

The new Realme GT 5 design was officially revealed earlier this week. For the new launch, the company partnered up with BYD Electronics for the ‘Miracle Glass‘ on the GT 5. The rear features a curved edge and the Realme GT 5 features a dual-tone rear panel for the back panel and the dual cameras. Simply put, it resembles a thicker version of the Pixel 7 series visor camera module. Back in May 2023, the Oppo Reno 10 series had been launched in the Chinese market. Since then, we had covered various reports that had hinted at its global launch, which was confirmed recently. However, it appears that the Reno 10 lineup that is arriving in the global market will be slightly different from the Chinese variant. So here’s a detailed rumor roundup.

Design & Display

In terms of design, the global variant of the Reno 10 series will look identical to their Chinese counterpart with changes only being reflected in the internal specifications. Thus, the Reno 10 will still launch with a curved glass body on the rear, with a plastic frame on the side. Meanwhile, the higher end Reno 10 series also features the exact same build quality. Another aspect that is similar is the large camera island on the back.

The Reno 10 series features a large oval shaped module that houses the triple rear image sensors. This module features a dual tone design with one half housing the two cameras and LED flash module while the lower half has the periscopic zoom lens and the MariSilicon branding. On the front, the entire lineup features a center aligned punch hole selfie camera and curved displays.

The base Reno 10 sports a 6.7 inch OLED 10bit panel that supports 2412 x 1080 pixel resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 2160 PWM dimming, and 950 nits of peak brightness. Specifications

The specs sheet is where we’ll find the major differences between the Chinese and global versions. Although, the Reno 10 Pro+ appears to be the only model that is identical for the global launch. In other words, it is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC that is paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. These specs basically means that this is a high model that will deliver top notch performance.

However, the Reno 10 Pro features the Snapdragon 778G SoC over the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chip found in the Chinese variant. Similarly, even the Reno 10 will be equipped with a Dimensity 7050, rather than the Snapdragon 778G processor in its Chinese version. These two models will come with at least one variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage.

Under the hood, the Reno 10 Pro+ will be powered by a 4,700mAh battery pack that supports 100W SuperVOOC Flash Charge technology. This enables the device to hit 50 percent charge in just 10 minutes and hit 100 percent in an impressive 27 minutes. The Reno 10 Pro houses a 4,600mAh battery pack that supports 80W fast charging, which can also charge the device to 100 percent in 28 minutes. Lastly, we have the base Reno 10 that has the largest 5,000mAh battery pack in the series, but with the slowest 67W fast charging rate. It also takes the longest to charge, hitting full capacity in 47 minutes.

The Oppo Reno 10 lineup will also arrive with a number of notable features like IR blaster, a new advanced cooling system on the Reno 10 Pro+, which features Ultra-Conductive Graphite and a Vapor Chamber, resulting in a 92 percent increase in heat dissipation for better thermals. The Reno 10 and Reno 10 Pro employ a conventional graphite cooling system. All three models will also run on Android 13 OS out of the box.

Camera

While all three smartphones feature a triple camera setup, there are some slight differences between them. The top end Reno 10 Pro and Reno 10 Pro+ features a 50 megapixel Sony IMX890 primary sensor that supports OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) that is paired with an 8 megapixel Sony IMX355 ultra wide angle lens, and a 64 megapixel OmniVision OV64B periscope zoom lens as well that supports OIS and 3x optical zoom and up to 120x hybrid zoom. On the front, it houses a 32 megapixel Sony IMX709 selfie camera.

The base Reno 10 features a 64 megapixel OV64B primary sensor on the rear that is accompanied by an 8 megapixel ultra wide angle Sony IMX355 sensor and a 32 megapixel telephoto shooter, which is a Sony IMX709 sensor that offers 2x optical zoom. The front houses a 32 megapixel selfie camera.

Availability

The POCO F5 series of smartphones is set to launch in the global market on May 9. We have already covered a number of rumors and leaks regarding the upcoming lineup, so here is a full roundup on everything we know regarding the higher end F5 Pro model.

POCO F5 Pro Design & Display

Based on what we know so far, the POCO F5 Pro will sport a flat display on the front while the rear features curved edges for a comfortable grip. Official teasers from the Chinese smartphone maker also revealed that it will feature carbon racing stripes on these edges while the top left corner of the rear panel houses the rectangular camera module. This module houses three image sensors, an LED flash, and even confirms OIS support on the primary rear shooter.

Meanwhile, the front sports a tall 6.67 inch AMOLED display that offers 120Hz refresh rate and 3,200 x 1440px resolution. iQOO is gearing up to launch its latest Z generation of mid range smartphones soon in China. The iQOO Z7 lineup arrives as the successor to the Z6 series. So here’s a round up of all details that we have regarding the upcoming devices like its specs, design, and more.

iQOO Z7

The new Z7 series includes the base Z7 and the Z7x models. The former is a higher end model and is expected to sport a FHD+ display with an LCD panel and a 120HZ refresh rate. The LCD panel will offer a punch hole cutout for the selfie camera and low blue light emission at the hardware level, eye protection mode, DC dimming, and adaptive brightness. The device will arrive in two color options, namely blue and orange.

Under the hood, this device will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 782G SoC. This chipset will be paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 156GB of internal storage. There have already been a number of leaks and reports regarding this handset ahead of its December 15 launch, so here’s a roundup of all specs, features, and design of the X40.

The Moto X40’s design had recently been revealed via leaked renders. On the front, the device has a curved display with a punch hole camera on the top center. Meanwhile, the rear features a triple camera module on the top left corner. As per the leak, the device is said to measure 161.3 x 73.9 x 8.5 and weighs around 196 grams. The premium grade handset also features a metallic frame. This means that there is a possibility that the Moto X40 Pro might also be announced during the launch event, or could even be released sometime after the X40. Oppo is gearing up to launch its latest entries in its popular Reno series of smartphones. The company is set to announce the new Reno 9 lineup during the launch event on November 24, which will also be live streamed across various platforms like social media. The lineup consists of three new models, namely Reno 9, Reno 9 Pro, and Reno 9 Pro+. So here’s a rumor roundup regarding these three phones.

Oppo Reno 9

Talking about the design first, the Reno 9 series will feature a design similar to the Reno 8 series. Although the overall design still features some differences. The Reno 9 still features a sleek design with the sides possibly having a metallic frame and the rear appearing to have a glass body. But since the base Reno 8 had a plastic frame and rear, it might feature the same materials. The rear will feature a dual camera setup, which consists of a 64 megapixel primary and 2 megapixel depth sensor.

On the front, the Reno 9 is expected to sport a 6.7 inch OLED display that has a FHD+ resolution and a high 120Hz refresh rate. This screen will also have a center aligned punch hole cutout for the 32 megapixel selfie camera on the top and an under display fingerprint scanner for security. Under the hood, the smartphone is expected to feature a Snapdragon 778G+ SoC and it could be powered by a 4,500mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging. The Reno 9 is expected to be offered in three storage configurations, namely 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, and 12 GB RAM + 512 GB.

Reno 9 Pro

Moving ahead with the higher end variants, the Reno 9 Pro sits in the middle of the Reno 9 lineup and offers some improvements in specs. However, the smartphone is still pretty similar to the base model in terms of design. This model will likely feature an aluminum frame and a glass back just like its predecessor, while the front will have a 6.7 inch OLED display that also offers FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and possibly an HDR10+ rating as well. The front also houses a punch hole cutout for the 32 megapixel selfie camera.

Meanwhile, the rear also packs a dual camera setup, which consists of a 50 megapixel Sony IM890 primary sensor paired with an 8 megapixel ultra wide angle lens. The “Powered by MariSilicon” can also be seen etched on the camera module of this phone. Under the hood, the Oppo Reno 9 Pro will feature a more powerful MediaTek Dimensity 8100 MAX that will be paired with up to 16GB of RAM with either 256GB or 512GB of internal storage. This model is also expected to be powered by a 4,500mAh battery pack that will support 67W fast charging.

Reno 9 Pro+

The Reno 9 Pro+ is the top end model from the upcoming Oppo Reno 9 series. Similar to the first two models, the most premium phone in the series also feature a similar design with an aluminum frame and glass rear panel. However, a key difference in design is the addition of another sensor on the rear camera module. The Reno 9 Pro+ is set to feature a triple camera setup on the rear, which consists of a 50 megapixel Sony IMX890 primary sensor that supports OIS along with an 8 megapixel telephoto lens, and another 2 megapixel shooter.

The front will feature a 32 megapixel camera, just like the rest of the phones in the Reno 9 series. On the front, the device will also sport a tall 6.7 inch OLED panel that has a FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, curved edges, an under display fingerprint scanner, and possibly the HDR10+ rating as well. Under the hood, this model will feature Qualcomm’s current flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Soc that will also be paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage.
