ASUS has officially launched its new ExpertCenter PN54-S1 Mini PC, and it’s powered by AMD’s latest Ryzen AI 200 processors. This model brings capable power in a space saving size for office environments, with CPUs capable of AI tasks and more. So let’s check it out.

ASUS ExpertCenter PN54-S1: Mini PC with AMD’s Next-Gen Ryzen AI Power

The Taiwanese PC maker’s new compact computer carries the ExpertCenter PN54-S1 model name and is equipped with AMD’s latest Ryzen AI 200 series processors. You can configure the mini PC with either the Ryzen 7 260, Ryzen 5 220, or Ryzen 5 210 CPUs. Unlike the higher end Ryzen AI 300 series, these are based on AMD’s older Zen 4 architecture with the RDNA 3 integrated graphics.

While these are weaker than dedicated GPUs, the tiny system can still output 4K video up to four monitors. So the ExpertCenter PN54-S1 is still great for setups with multiple monitors. The Ryzen AI 200 chips are coupled with up to 64GB of DDR5 RAM and 2TB of SSD storage. It also offers a healthy connectivity selection with up to Wifi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, two Ethernet ports, USB 4.0, USB 3.2 Gen Type-A, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, USB 2.0, HDMI 2.1, and DisplayPort 1.4.

ASUS’s new mini PC measures just 130mm x 130mm x 34mm in dimensions and weighs just around 550 grams. The ExpertCenter PN54-S1 arrives with either Windows 11 Pro or Windows 11 Home. These are basically tiny computers for professional settings, with a fingerprint sensor for added security. You also get a tool-free design, allowing for simple hardware upgrades. Acer has just announced a bunch of new PCs with cutting edge hardware. The Acer Predator Orion 3000 is a desktop PC, while the Predator Helios Neo 14 AI and Predator Triton 15 AI are powerful gaming laptops. But alongside these models, the company has also unveiled Aspire 16 AI laptops that offer impressively long battery life across latest gen Intel, AMD, and Snapdragon platforms. So let’s check it out.

Acer Aspire 16 AI launch: What makes it special?

Acer has built the Aspire 16 AI with new and efficient processors that promise great battery life while not compromising on performance. The Intel variant arrived with up to a Core Ultra 7 258V, which is paired with Intel Arc graphics. Acer promises up to 26 hours of battery life on this model. Meanwhile, the AMD option features either the Ryzen AI 7 350 or Ryzen AI 5 340 processors. This is coupled with Radeon 860M and Radeon 840M, respectively.

Lastly, there is the ARM based Snapdragon version which includes the Snapdragon X platform. The most notable aspect of this model is its impressively long battery life of 27 hours. The new Aspire 16 AI sports a tall 16-inch OLED WUXGA+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 500 nits of peak brightness. Although, the Qualcomm option skips the OLED display for an LCD WUXGA panel that can be opted with 100 percent sRGB or 45 percent NTSC color gamut.

All Aspire 16 AI laptop can be paired with up to 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of PCIe Gen4 SSD storage. These also support microSD expansion. A sizeable 65Wh battery pack powers this model. Connectivity options include USB 3.2 Type-A, USB-C, HDMI 2.1, a MicroSD slot, and WiFi 6E/7. Acer Aspire 16 AI runs on Windows 11 OS, with the AMD options featuring Microsoft’s Pluton security chip and facial recognition. The Snapdragon variant gets the basic Windows Hello.

Other notable AI powered features include PurifiedVoice, LiveArt, and Copilot+ Hotkey. Acer is set to launch the Aspire 16 AI in the Snapdragon option in July for a starting price tag of 749 Euros. On the other hand, the AMD and Intel variants will go on sale in August. Team Red options will start from 999 Euros, while the base model of Team Blue versions costs 1,049 Euros.

ASUS has announced the Fearless Pro16 2024, a gaming laptop boasting a powerful AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 processor (codenamed Strix Point) and a stunning 16-inch 3.2K 120Hz OLED display.

The Ryzen AI 9 365 processor, with its Zen 5 cores and integrated XDNA 2 NPU, promises strong performance for gamers and creative professionals. The Radeon 880M graphics card, built on the RDNA 3.5 architecture, delivers a 15% improvement over the previous generation and rivals the performance of a 40W RTX 3050.

The centerpiece of the Fearless Pro16 2024 is its display. The 16-inch 3.2K OLED panel boasts a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals, 100% P3 color gamut for vibrant colors, 10-bit color depth for richer details, and a peak brightness of 600 nits for excellent clarity even in bright environments.

ASUS has equipped the Fearless Pro16 2024 with a capable cooling system featuring dual fans and dual heat pipes. This system allows the laptop to unleash up to 50W of performance when needed. The laptop itself is surprisingly thin and light for its capabilities, measuring just 13.9mm thick and weighing only 1.5kg. The all-metal body offers a sleek and durable design, and the 180-degree hinge provides maximum flexibility for various usage scenarios.

In terms of connectivity, the Fearless Pro16 2024 comes equipped with HDMI 2.1 TMDS, USB4 ports, a microSD card reader, and a USB-C port that supports power input across a wide voltage range (5V-20V). Additionally, the laptop features an RGB keyboard for personalized lighting, a 240Hz sampling rate trackpad for responsive control, a 1080p IR camera for secure facial recognition, and a 75Wh battery for extended use.

The ASUS Fearless Pro16 2024 is now available for pre-order and will officially launch on July 28th at a price of 7,999 yuan (approximately $1,102 USD).

Now, more details about the Ryzen AI 9 365 have emerged, revealing its performance capabilities with the benchmark scores.

Lenovo is currently working on a laptop equipped with the Ryzen AI 9 365 processor. This processor boasts a total of 10 cores, comprising 4 Zen 5 cores and 6 Zen 5c cores. The processor has a maximum boost clock of 5.0 GHz.

A newly uncovered Geekbench result reveals the performance of the Ryzen AI 9 365. The processor achieved a single-core score of 2544 and a multi-core score of 12745. These scores are remarkably close to Ryzen 9 7940HS and Ryzen 9 8945HS, indicating that the Ryzen AI 9 365 is actually a capable performer.

AMD has named its new processors as “Ryzen AI” due to the inclusion of AI-powered features. These features enable a range of capabilities, including generative AI for image and document creation, portrait effects during video calls, and more.
