Back in August, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy A04 smartphone in the market. The following month, the brand silently launched the Galaxy A04e. Both of these devices have been available in various global markets, and now it has finally been launched in India. So let’s go through the specifications and take a look at the pricing.

Samsung Galaxy A04 specifications

The Samsung Galaxy A04 has dimensions of 164.4 x 76.3 x 9.1mm and weighs approximately 192 grams. The display is 6.5 inches with an Infinity-V notch. HD+ resolution is supported by the screen. It has a 5-megapixel selfie camera on the front.

The Galaxy A04e boasts a 6.5-inch PLS LCD panel with an HD+ resolution. The waterdrop-shaped notch on the screen houses a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

A 13-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor are located on its rear panel. One UI Core 4.1, a scaled-down version of One UI designed for entry-level models, is preinstalled on top of the device’s preloaded Android 12 OS.

The Galaxy A04e is powered by an octa-core processor, MediaTek Helio G35. There is 3 GB / 4 GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB / 128GB of storage options available for the smartphone. You also get the choice to expand the storage using a microSD card.

Only 10W charging is supported by the 5,000mAh battery that powers the Galaxy A04e. The smartphone has a dual SIM slot, 4G VoLTE, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, a USB-C connector, and a 3.5mm audio jack for communication. The A04e features a plastic body that weighs 188 grams and has dimensions of 164.2 x 75.9 x 9.1mm.

Pricing and availability

The Samsung Galaxy A04e is available in Light Blue and Copper colors and costs Rs. 9,299 for 3GB + 32GB, Rs. 9,999 for 3GB + 64GB, and Rs. 11,499 for 4GB + 128GB.

Samsung is reportedly planning to launch new affordable A-series smartphones in India this week. The budget smartphones—Galaxy A04 and A04e— will debut in the country with a price tag of less than Rs. 10,000. The two handsets have already debuted in the global market so we have a good idea about their specifications. Here are all the details.

News agency IANS, citing industry sources, claims the Galaxy A04 and A04e will be launching in India this week, priced under Rs. 10,000. The smartphones will arrive with RAM Plus feature, supporting up to 8GB RAM. This feature basically allows users to add virtual RAM storage to their phones as per their usage.

The exact launch date of the two handsets is yet to be known. Samsung India hasn’t confirmed any details yet. It’s possible the company will silently launch the smartphones. In any case, let’s have a look at their specifications.

Earlier this year, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy M23 5G smartphone for some regions including Europe. Following that, the brand launched the Galaxy A04 smartphone a couple of months back. Now, it appears that these devices will soon land in the Indian market along with the Galaxy A04e.

Tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore has spotted the devices with model numbers SM-M236B/DS, SM-A045F/DS, and SM-A042F/DS on the support page of Samsung’s Indian website. These model numbers correspond to the Galaxy A23 5G, the Galaxy A04e, and the Galaxy A04. Out of these three, two devices are already available in other regions of the world, while the Galaxy A04e was also recently unveiled by the brand. Let’s take a look at their spec sheets to get a better idea of what these devices will bring to the table.

The Galaxy M23 5G comes with a 6.6-inch LCD FHD+ 120Hz screen, a Snapdragon 750G CPU, 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM, 64 GB or 128 GB of storage, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 25W fast charging capability. It also has Android 12 OS with One UI 4.1 and a fingerprint scanner on the side. Last week, an upcoming Samsung smartphone featuring the model number SM-A045F/DS was spotted on the FCC database. The same device has now made an appearance on the NBTC and BIS certification websites revealing its moniker as the Samsung Galaxy A04.

Going by the previous FCC listing, we know that the device has a 4900mAh rated capacity battery. It is also revealed to feature 15W fast charging. The device was also spotted on the WiFi alliance database revealing support for dual-band Wi-Fi 一 2.4GHz and 5GHz and Wi-Fi ac/n/a/b/g bands. The listing also revealed that the device will come pre-loaded with Android 12, likely with the OneUI 4.1 skin on top.

However, this is not the only budget smartphone that Samsung has planned for the future as renders of the Samsung Galaxy A04s have already surfaced online and the device has also appeared on Geekbench.

Last month, the Galaxy A04s was also spotted on Geekbench last month rocking an octa-core Exynos 850 chipset paired with 3GB RAM. The device is expected to launch in at least two RAM and storage variants. Considering that the smartphone has the Exynos 850 chipset, it will likely lack 5G connectivity.
