Samsung launched the Galaxy A05 in India in November last year. Now, the South Korean brand has slashed the price of the device in the country making it cheaper. The new pricing is applicable on both RAM and storage configurations. It is also reflected on the company’s official website.

The Samsung Galaxy A05 is offered in 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB RAM and storage configurations. At launch, these were priced at Rs 9,999 and Rs 12,999. Now, the base variant has got a price cut of Rs 1,300 making it available for Rs 8,699. On the other hand, the 6GB + 128GB’s price has been slashed by Rs 2,000 and now costs Rs 10,999. This makes it a more lucrative option compared to the base model after the revised pricing.

Interested customers can purchase the Samsung Galaxy A05 at a revised price from Samsung’s official website and Croma. It comes in Light Green, Black, and Silver colors.

The latest offering is slightly a toned-down version of the A05s. It carries a budget price tag under the Rs 13,000 segment. Read on to know what the device offers out of the box.

The Samsung Galaxy A05 has an Infinity-U display measuring 6.7 inches and an HD+ resolution. It lacks a fingerprint scanner and instead relies on face unlock via the 8MP selfie snapper on the front. The device has a dual rear camera setup of a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP depth lens.

Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy A05 is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G85 processor. It packs up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. There is a microSD card slot for additional storage needs. Samsung is reportedly gearing up to launch the Galaxy A05 in India soon. The device was recently spotted on the Samsung India support website and its user manual has now gone live on the brand’s website.

The user manual shows the phone with a waterdrop notch display and noticeable bezels on all four sides. The volume rocker and power button are on the right side, while the SIM card tray is on the left edge.

The USB Type-C port, speaker vents, and a 3.5mm audio jack are at the bottom. And the back of the device will have dual camera sensors and an LED flash cutout.

A reliable tipster has also revealed that the Galaxy A05 will launch in two configuration options in India: 4 GB + 64 GB and 6 GB + 128 GB. These models are tipped to be priced at Rs 12,499 and Rs 14,999 respectively.

Samsung has not yet announced the official launch date for the Galaxy A05 in India. However, with the user manual now live on the company’s website, we can expect the launch to happen anytime soon.

Samsung is gearing up to launch another Galaxy A series of smartphone in India soon. Just last month, the company released the Galaxy A05s, and now, a new certification listing has hinted at the imminent launch of the Galaxy A05 model.

Now, the South Korean tech giant’s upcoming Galaxy A05 has surfaced on the Bluetooth SIG database. The online listing reveals that it will arrive in multiple different models, which include SM-A055F-DS, SM-A055F, SM-A055M-DS, and SM-A055M. These are likely the same devices for different markets, with one of them likely set to launch in India.

Based on what we know so far, the Galaxy A05 might sport a 6.5-inch display with an Infinity U notch. This panel could offer a standard 60Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution. Galaxy A05 and Galaxy A05s are supposed to be the latest budget smartphones from Samsung. Both devices have been making rounds on various certification sites recently, with reports even sharing their design renders. In the latest development, schematic images of both Galaxy A05 and A05s have leaked online, revealing a handful of specifications.

As can be seen in the images, the A05 features a dual-camera system on the rear, similar to what we saw in leaked spy shots. The A05s, on the other hand, features a triple camera system as well as NFC support. Both of these smartphones are expected to bring a 50MP primary camera as well as a 2MP depth shooter.

Previously, it was reported the Galaxy A05s will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 15W fast charging. As per a Geekbench listing, the upcoming handset is powered by a Helio G85 chipset paired with 4GB RAM. The chipset should be the same in Galaxy A05 as well. Bot devices are likely to run One UI 5 based on Android 13 on the software front.

The Google Play Console reveals that the display on the Galaxy A05 will offer a resolution of 720 x 1,600 pixels (20:9 aspect ratio), and it could measure 6.6 inches. Both models are expected to be dual-SIM phones with a dedicated slot for a microSD card; however, there’s no information available regarding the built-in storage capacity at this time.

Samsung is gearing up to update its affordable Galaxy A series with the impending release of the Galaxy A05 and A05s smartphones. These devices have successfully passed various regional certifications, hinting at an imminent global launch. These devices have now cleared the SIRIM certification, getting another step closer to launch.

The Galaxy A05 and A05s variants have made their way into the SIRIM certification database, identified by model numbers SM-A055F/DS and SM-A057F/DS, respectively. While the certification doesn’t disclose any specifications, it effectively paves the way for their upcoming release in Malaysia.

Samsung‘s upcoming Galaxy A05 smartphone recently leaked with live images, revealing what it will look like. Now, the device has appeared on the Google Play Console listing revealing some key specifications.

The listing further reveals that the Galaxy A05 will feature a MediaTek Helio G85 processor paired with 4GB RAM. Since it will be an entry-level smartphone, the chances of it having a 6GB RAM model are slim to none.

Samsung is about to release its newest budget smartphone, the Galaxy A05. The device has already bagged multiple certifications, including TDRA and BIS. Now, the first live images of the Samsung Galaxy A05 phone have been leaked online.

The photos show the A05 from the front and back. Unlike the Galaxy A04, the A05 has flat sides, which is in line with the design language of other Galaxy smartphones this year.

The back of the phone has two camera cutouts, suggesting a dual-camera system. And there is no camera bump. The A05 also has a glossy finish with a stripe-like pattern on the back.

On the front though, the device still shares similarities with its predecessor. The photo revealed a v-shaped notch and thick bezels at the bottom.

As for the specifications, the Samsung Galaxy A05 is expected to have a 5,000 mAh battery and the Helio G85 processor. The G85 is an entry-level processor with eight cores—two of them being performance cores that can clock up to 2.0 GHz, while the other six are efficiency cores that clock at 1.8 GHz.

The phone is likely to have 4 GB of RAM. However, there is no information yet about the storage capacity of the Galaxy A05. Also, the phone does not have 5G connectivity since the Helio G85 processor does not support it.

The recent Galaxy A04 debuted last year with MediaTek Helio P35 octa-core processor. And the company could soon introduce the Galaxy A05 as it has started to bag multiple certifications. In the latest development, Galaxy A05 has received FCC and BIS certifications.

Both certifications do not reveal much information about the device. For what it’s worth, FCC tells us the Galaxy A05 (SM-A055M) will bring 4G LTE as well as Wi-Fi 2.4Ghz, 5Ghz, and 5.8Ghz frequency bands support. The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification, on the other hand, only reveals the model number. However, the authority hints the Galaxy A05 is nearing its Indian launch.
