Samsung Galaxy A13 5G launches on September 1 in Taiwan, pricing & specs confirmed

Samsung has two upcoming lower-midrange 5G smartphones planned for the global market. These are the Samsung Galaxy A23 5G and the Galaxy A13 5G. The Galaxy A23 5G’s specs, pricing, and launch date have already been confirmed for Taiwan. And now, the brand has also revealed the same details for the Galaxy A13 5G.

Samsung Galaxy A13 5G price & availability

Samsung has revealed that the Galaxy A13 5G is set to launch on September 1 in Taiwan. The device will have a starting price of NTD 6,990 (roughly $232) for the base 4GB + 64GB option. The 4GB + 128GB variant is priced at NTD 7,990 (roughly $645). It will launch in Black, Blue, and White colors.

Samsung Galaxy A13 5G specifications

The Samsung Galaxy A13 5G features a 6.5-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. The phone has AI face unlock as well as a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Under the hood, the smartphone is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC that is paired with a Mali G57 GPU. The chipset is complemented by 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage. A large 5,000mAh battery pack powers the device, which supports 15W fast charging.

For optics, the device has a triple camera setup on the back consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth lens. The front houses a 5-megapixel selfie shooter.

The smartphone measures 164.5 x 76.5 x 8.8 mm and supports Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, etc. The phone also features a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port.

Samsung Galaxy A13 5G live images surfaced online before India launch

While Samsung announced the Galaxy A13 4G this week in India, the brand is yet to launch the Samsung Galaxy A13 5G in the region. Earlier this month, we learned that the phone’s production has started in India. Now, 91Mobiles has shared live images of the back and sides of the smartphone.

The live images showcase the back panel of the phone in White color. This will be amongst the other shades of the smartphone. The design looks similar to the Galaxy A13 4G with triple cameras at the back positioned vertically. There’s also a cut-out for the LED flash beside the sensors.

On the left side, we see the SIM-card tray, while on the right, there’s the power button and the volume rocker. The smartphone has a USB Type-C and a 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom. There’s also the microphone and speaker grille sitting at the bottom. The front isn’t visible, however, it is tipped to have a water-drop notch screen.

The Samsung Galaxy A13 5G is already available in the US and it offers budget specs. The smartphone sports a 6.5-inch LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 1600 x 720 pixels resolution. It has a 5MP selfie camera and a triple camera at the rear. The rear setup goes by a 50MP main lens, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth lens.

In the US, the phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It houses a 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.
