The models are yet to go official but some of the leaked details have been official ones. Right now, Samsung Indonesia website has gone live with the Galaxy A6 and A6+ with all the details you would like to find out about the models listed.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Galaxy-A6_feature-design-display-desktop2.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-188406" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Galaxy-A6_feature-design-display-desktop2-1024x575.jpg?x10805" alt="Samsung Galaxy A6+" width="640" height="359" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Galaxy-A6_feature-design-display-desktop2-1024x575.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Galaxy-A6_feature-design-display-desktop2-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Galaxy-A6_feature-design-display-desktop2-768x431.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Galaxy-A6_feature-design-display-desktop2.jpg 1440w" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /></a></p>
<p>According to the specs sheet on the website, the new Galaxy A6 and A6+ feature 18.5:9 AMOLED &#8220;Infinity&#8221; displays, fingerprint sensors, unnamed 8-core SoCs, and front-facing camera flash. The bigger A6+ even has a dual-camera setup for parallax-based bokeh, and both cameras sport 16MP f/1.7 primary shooters. Prices and dates for availability are still unknown, though.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/samsung.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-188407" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/samsung-1024x548.jpg?x10805" alt="Samsung Galaxy A6" width="640" height="343" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/samsung-1024x548.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/samsung-300x160.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/samsung-768x411.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/samsung.jpg 1440w" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /></a></p>
<p>On the design aspect, both phones are a bit different and this is not just about the screen size difference. The larger A6+ steps things up in pretty much every regard, with a higher-resolution and higher PPI screen, more RAM, a bigger battery, faster clock speed, and dual-camera configuration. The smaller and lower-spec&#8217;ed A6 will almost certainly cost a less to make up for it, though. Although both phones list &#8220;Bixby&#8221; as a feature, they only seem to include Bixby Vision, Bixby Home and not Bixby Reminder. So if you were looking forward to Bixby Voice—for some sadistic reason—it doesn&#8217;t appear that these phones support it.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Galaxy-A6_feature-comparative-desktop2.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-188405" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Galaxy-A6_feature-comparative-desktop2-1024x577.jpg?x10805" alt="Samsung Galaxy A6" width="640" height="361" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Galaxy-A6_feature-comparative-desktop2-1024x577.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Galaxy-A6_feature-comparative-desktop2-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Galaxy-A6_feature-comparative-desktop2-768x433.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Galaxy-A6_feature-comparative-desktop2.jpg 1440w" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /></a></p>
<p>In addition, the sound and speakers on both phones have ostensibly been tuned by Dolby with its Atmos &#8220;immersive sound experience,&#8221; and they feature Samsung&#8217;s face recognition in addition to the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, but neither device has any water or dust resistance.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Galaxy-A6_feature-advanced-camera-desktop2.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-188404" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Galaxy-A6_feature-advanced-camera-desktop2-1024x484.jpg?x10805" alt="Samsung Galaxy A6" width="640" height="303" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Galaxy-A6_feature-advanced-camera-desktop2-1024x484.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Galaxy-A6_feature-advanced-camera-desktop2-300x142.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Galaxy-A6_feature-advanced-camera-desktop2-768x363.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Galaxy-A6_feature-advanced-camera-desktop2.jpg 1440w" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /></a></p>

<p>With the deluge of details featured o the website, all that is left is for us to know the prices and launch date. A recent leak had suggested a price tag ranging from around $350 &#8211; $400 for the A6 and A6+ respectively.  However, since Samsung has pushed this out officially, we are certain its launch is close by.</p>

We chose to infer this considering the number of first-time leaks that have emerged from that end lately. Not too long ago, we spotted the price of the unannounced REdmi S2 from that end. Now it is the turn of the unannounced <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/samsung">Samsung</a> Galaxy A6 hands-on video to appear well before its launch. The video has since been deleted from the original source but thanks to the guy at <a href="https://allaboutsamsung.de/2018/04/galaxy-a6-2018-trainingsvideo-geleakt/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Allaboutsamsung.de</a>, here is a duplicate of the original video.</p>
<p><iframe loading="lazy" title="Samsung Galaxy A6 2018" width="696" height="392" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/BAfjdeQRY5k?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe></p>
<p>The video has the Samsung Training academy badge which means it is a training video about the specs and features of the phone meant for employees and promoters in the domestic market. The video is in Vietnamese so we really can&#8217;t make out much of what is being said but it shows the Galaxy A6 in its real skin. From the little we can grab from the video, the device will pack a 16MP with an aperture f/1.9. The rear camera is also a 16MP sensor with a slightly larger aperture of f/1.7. In addition, the Galaxy A6 (2018) is confirmed to feature a 5.6-inch Super AMOLED display with an HD+ resolution of 1440 x 720p and an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. The display is also covered with a 2.5D curved glass.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/samsung-galaxy-a6-1.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-188171" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/samsung-galaxy-a6-1.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="716" height="374" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/samsung-galaxy-a6-1.jpg 716w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/samsung-galaxy-a6-1-300x157.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 716px) 100vw, 716px" /></a></p>

<p>It is pretty obvious that the Galaxy A6 will be launched soon but as to when that will happen, we are still in the dark about that. To wrap this up, the Galaxy A6 will likely be introduced alongside the Galaxy A6+ which was recently certified by the Chinese telecoms regulatory agency, TENAA.</p>

<p>Unfortunately, the page only reveals the pictures of the device without the usual table containing the specifications. The specs may likely get listed in a couple of days time from now but we won&#8217;t have to wait till then because the specs have already made the rounds online. Talking of the design, the Galaxy A6+ is expected to feature a dual camera setup at the rear with a fingerprint sensor just under the cameras. There is an LED flash at the side of the camera. The device also comes with the antenna design which was used on the Galaxy J series.</p>

<p>The Galaxy A6+ is expected to pack a 6-inch display with a FullHD+ resolution of 2280 x 1080pixels. After the phone&#8217;s specifications, the renders of the Galaxy A6 has been leaked online, giving us a glimpse of the phone&#8217;s design.</p>
<p>The Samsung Galaxy A6 will feature a full-screen Infinity Display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The leak also reveals that there will be a physical home button below the display, which is also expected to work as a fingerprint sensor.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-187336 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/galaxy-a6-render.jpg?x10805" alt="Samsung Galaxy A6 Render" width="800" height="450" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/galaxy-a6-render.jpg 800w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/galaxy-a6-render-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/galaxy-a6-render-768x432.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></p>
<p>It seems that the smartphone will come with a dual camera setup the back, along with an LED flash. The device also retains 3.5mm audio jack. While the volume rocker is placed on the left side, the power button is on the right side.</p>
<p>Coming to the specifications, the Galaxy A6 and A6 Plus are expected to feature a 5.6-inch and 6.0-inch Super AMOLED display along with 18:9 aspect ratio and a Full-HD+ screen resolution of 2220 × 1080 pixels.</p>
<p>Under the hood, the Galaxy A6 will be powered by the company&#8217;s own Exynos 7870 while the A6 Plus will be powered by <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/qualcomm/">Qualcomm</a>&#8216;s Snapdragon 625 processor. The smartphone is expected to pack 3GB with 32GB internal storage.</p>

<p>On the other hand, the A6 Plus will come with 4GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage. Both the smartphone will come with a microSD card slot, enabling users to further expand the phone&#8217;s storage capacity. Running on <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/android-oreo/">Android Oreo</a> operating system out of the box, the Galaxy A6 will be powered by a 3,000mAh battery.</p>
<p>The leaked images suggest that the smartphone will be launched in at least two color variants &#8211; Gold and Blue. While the company has not yet revealed when it plans to launch the A6 and A6 Plus, the numerous leaks related to the smartphones hints that the launch is imminent.</p>

After receiving the official certification by the American <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/04/01/samsung-galaxy-a6-and-a6-certified-by-fcc-u-s-launch-confirmed/">FCC</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/03/25/samsung-galaxy-a6-certified-by-wfa-with-android-oreo/">Wi-Fi Alliance</a>, the Plus variant has just been spotted on the official Polish website of the company. The model number of the device briefly appeared on an official page, and this not only confirms its existence but also reveals that it should be announced very soon. According to the official website, there will be a version of the Samsung Galaxy A6 Plus which carries the model number SM-A605FN/DS.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-120723" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/Samsung-Galaxy-A5-2017.png?x10805" alt="Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017)" width="800" height="533" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/Samsung-Galaxy-A5-2017.png 800w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/Samsung-Galaxy-A5-2017-300x200.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/Samsung-Galaxy-A5-2017-768x512.png 768w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></p>
<p>The last two letters of the model number are suggesting that the handset will sport a dual SIM slot. Further, this model number confirms the ones appeared on the listings of FCC and Wi-Fi Alliance. Besides the official certifications by these regulatory agencies, we spotted Samsung Galaxy A6 Plus even on benchmarks, alongside its standard variant. According to <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/03/16/suspected-samsung-galaxy-a6-a6-spotted-on-geekbench/">Geekbench</a>, the A6+ will not have an Exynos SoC like most of Samsung mid-rangers: it will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset which runs at a max frequency of 2 GHz. The power-efficient chipset will be paired with 4 GB of RAM, while the operating system installed will be Android Oreo.</p>
<p>On Geekbench, the handset has obtained a score of 739 points in single-core test and it has scored 3469 points in the multi-core test. Geekbench also showed that the standard A6 will boast an octa-core Samsung Exynos 7870 processor and 3 GB of RAM. The score obtained by the standard A6 on single-core benchmark is 723 points, while in multi-core it scored 3605 points. Even though the processors are different, the A6 Plus has more RAM and it will probably cost more but the scores obtained by the two handsets are very similar.</p>

While other devices from the A-series released in 2017 and 2018 are upgraded versions of the ones released last year, a smartphone called Galaxy A6 has been never launched until now. They will be two brand new smartphones with a good quality-price ratio, and they have just received the official certification by the American FCC. Unfortunately, FCC did not reveal any of their specs, but its certification confirms that the handsets will be launched in the U.S. market.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-182476" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/a6.jpg?x10805" alt="samsung galaxy a6" width="640" height="437" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/a6.jpg 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/a6-300x205.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /></p>
<p>Previous rumors suggested that Samsung Galaxy A6 and A6+ were going to be launched only in Europe, Russia and the Middle East, but according to FCC, it will not be so. The devices are identified by the model numbers SM-A600FN and SM-A605G. No specs have surfaced, but these devices have already been certified by <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/03/25/samsung-galaxy-a6-certified-by-wfa-with-android-oreo/">Wi-Fi Alliance</a> and they have been spotted on the famous benchmarking platform <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/03/16/suspected-samsung-galaxy-a6-a6-spotted-on-geekbench/">Geekbench</a>, so we already know some details about them. According to WFA, both the devices will run Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box and the standard A6 will support Wi-Fi a/b/g/n standards, but it will not support Wi-Fi ac, even though its alleged SoC supports it.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>From what Geekbench website has shown in its listings, Samsung Galaxy A6 will boast an octa-core Samsung Exynos 7870 SoC which is already present on several phones from the J-series and on the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-a3-2017/">Galaxy A3 (2017)</a>. The SoC is composed of eight Cortex A53 CPUs and a Mali-T830 MP1 GPU, and it will be paired with 3 GB of RAM. This device has scored 723 points in single-core performances and 3605 points in multi-core. Samsung Galaxy A6 Plus is equipped with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset which can run at a max frequency of 2 GHz, and it is supported by 4 GB of RAM. However, the score is similar to the lower-end version: 739 points in single-core and 3469 points in multi-core.</p>

After two alleged variants of this handset were spotted on <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/03/16/suspected-samsung-galaxy-a6-a6-spotted-on-geekbench/">Geekbench</a>, the device has been certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance. This official certification confirms its existence and lets us know that it will probably launch soon. Unfortunately, Wi-Fi Alliance did not reveal any of the specs of this upcoming device, so it is still shrouded in the mystery. But the model number and the operating system have been revealed, so we may be able to identify the handset better in the upcoming leaks.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-174211" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Samsung-Galaxy-A5-2018.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="590" height="450" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Samsung-Galaxy-A5-2018.jpg 590w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Samsung-Galaxy-A5-2018-300x229.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 590px) 100vw, 590px" /></p>
<p>According to Wi-Fi Alliance, Samsung Galaxy A6 has the model number SM-A600FN and Android 8.0 Oreo is installed, so it will come out of the box. No more info has been revealed, but thanks to the previous Geekbench leak we already know a few details about its specs. Even though it will be called A6, according to Geekbench it will have lower-end specs than the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-a5-2017/">Galaxy A5 (2017)</a>. Under the hood, the handset sports an octa-core Samsung Exynos 7870 SoC which is also present on the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-a3-2017/">Galaxy A3 (2017)</a> and some devices of the Galaxy J series. Samsung Exynos 7870 is an octa-core chipset composed of eight Cortex-A53 CPUs; it also includes a Mali T830 MP1 GPU.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>The SoC will be paired with 2 GB of RAM, while the internal storage is not known yet. On Geekbench, the Samsung Galaxy A6 scored 723 points in single-core performances and 3605 points in multi-core. According to the benchmarking platform, a Plus version of this device will be released as well and it will bring the code name SM-A605G. Unlike the standard version, this one seems better than the Galaxy A5. The A6+ will sport an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor unlike most of Samsung midranges, and 4 GB of RAM. But the score obtained on Geekbench is weirdly even lower than the one obtained by the A6 (739 in single-core and 3469 in multi-core).</p>

<p>The Galaxy A series have existed before now with an A6 model despite the presence of A5 and A7. So these models are likely going to be the first A6 models that would be launched. The benchmark results are very similar despite the presence of two different chips on both smartphones. The GalaxyA6 scores 2605 on the multicore test and 723 on the single core test. While the Galaxy A6+ scored 739 points on the single core test and 3469 points on the multi-core test. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Samsung-galaxy-a6.png?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-179590" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Samsung-galaxy-a6.png?x10805" alt="Samsung Galaxy A6" width="654" height="545" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Samsung-galaxy-a6.png 654w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Samsung-galaxy-a6-300x250.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Samsung-galaxy-a6-95x80.png 95w" sizes="(max-width: 654px) 100vw, 654px" /></a></p>
