Samsung Galaxy Book and Galaxy Book Pro Business Editions launched

Samsung is mostly known for its smartphones but the South Korean giant has a decent presence in the laptops market as well. Its latest laptops in the market are under the Galaxy Book and Galaxy Book Pro.

Now, the company has announced the Business Edition of both these new laptops. Just like the Microsoft Surface for Business, the Galaxy Book Business Edition and Galaxy Book Pro Business Edition are similar to the original models but come running the Pro version of the Windows 10 or Windows 11 operating system.

The inclusion of the Windows 10 Pro (or the Windows 11 Pro) means that the devices have better security and more management-related features. The devices come powered by Intel’s 11th-generation processors and are Intel Eco certified.

For those who are unaware, the Galaxy Book and Galaxy Book Pro come in two screen sizes — 13.3-inch and 15-inch. Both of them feature a Full HD screen resolution with a 16:9 aspect ratio. However, the laptops come with a Super AMOLED display, offering bright and vivid colors on the screen.

Coming to the pricing, the Samsung Galaxy Book costs $899 for the 15.6-inch model packing an Intel Core i5 processor and 16GB RAM. On the other hand, the Pro model with a 13.3-inch screen starts at $1,099 while the 15.6-inch model starts at $1,199. It comes in two variants — Core i5 / 8GB / 512GB and Core i7 / 16GB / 256GB. These new Business Edition laptops are now available for purchase.

In related news, after pushing for foldable smartphones, Samsung is now reportedly working on launching a foldable laptop which is likely to be called Samsung Galaxy Book Fold 17. The device was showcased as a concept at SID 2021 and is now said to be under development and should be announced soon.

South Korean tech major Samsung Electronics has officially released three new laptops in the Galaxy Book series. The devices are the Galaxy Book, Galaxy Book Pro, and the Galaxy Book Pro 360. All three portable and highly versatile laptops come with an excellent AMOLED display.

The Galaxy Book is a slim model and offers some improvement from its predecessor. It has a 15.6-inch comfortable display that has anti-glare functionality to enhance the viewing experience. With its wide viewing angle of 170 degrees, the Samsung Galaxy Book offers a high level of immersion. Two-color variants are available, and the price of the model ranges from $860 to $1,465, depending on the system memory capacity, CPU, and other key fundamentals.

Samsung Galaxy Book Pro

The Galaxy Book Pro is a slim and lightweight portable laptop. It holds the record as the thinnest and lightest model in the Galaxy Book series. It has all the features that can serve as a mobile office, Movie Theater, or just a personal companion. Three color variants are available for the Galaxy Book Pro, and the price ranges from $1,153 to $1,907.

The Galaxy Book Pro 360 is a dual-purpose laptop with S Pen functionality. It is an ultra-slim lightweight device. The Galaxy Book Pro 360 also provides strong connectivity between devices in the Galaxy Book series. The easy and quick connectivity with the various devices in the series means that the user can easily switch from a smartphone to a notebook, tablet, or even a smart wearable device. Some of the features available on the Galaxy Book series suite are Quick Share, Samsung Gallery, Second Screen, etc. There is support for up to five devices interconnected through the laptop.

The Galaxy Book Pro 360 is capable of a 360-degree rotation, making it possible for the device to serve as a tablet. The attached S Pen has greater functionality and offers better comfort than previous versions. In addition, there is no need to charge the S Pen separately. Two models are available based on the display – there is the 15.6-inch and the 13.3-inch model, each available in three color variants—the price of the Galaxy Book Pro 360 ranges from $1,605 to $2,430.

Samsung says the devices are slated for release from May 21 and various incentives and discounts are available for buyers who purchase any of the devices via any of the available online and offline channels.

Samsung Galaxy Book Flex2 Alpha quietly launched in the US for $849

Samsung has seen a flurry of activities this month with the release of a range of premium and budget products across several segments of its businesses. Just yesterday, the company announced the Galaxy Book, Book Pro, Book Pro 360, and Galaxy Book Odyssey. The Samsung Galaxy Book Flex2 Alpha notebook was apparently quietly released as well and it is presently up for pre-order in the US for $849.

Just like the Galaxy Book Pro and Pro 360, the Book Flex2 Alpha also comes in two display sizes – 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch models. The Book Flex2 Alpha is powered by Intel’s Core i5 or Core i7 11th generation processor and offers a lot of exciting functionalities and features.

The base 13.3-inch model is available for pre-order at $849 and boasts 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage, while the 15.6-inch model has 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Samsung is yet to release any information about the price of the 15.6-inch model at this time, but the first set of deliveries will start shipping by May 17.

In terms of the features, the screen of the Galaxy Book Flex2 Alpha can rotate a full 360 degrees. It utilizes a QLED panel and the laptop offers up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage for the 15.6-inch model. The notebook also comes preloaded with lots of impressive packages including Samsung Gallery, Notes, Recovery, Dex, Flow, and a few others that bear the imprimatur of the Samsung touch of excellence.

The Galaxy Book Flex2 Alpha also comes with substantial battery life, as its 54W battery is capable of providing more than 18 hours of power. It equally supports 40W fast charging. For the interface, there is HDMI, USB-C, and USB-A 3.2 ports on the sides of the gadget, as well as a MicroSD slot and headphone jack.

Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy Book Pro and Galaxy Book Pro 360, two premium notebooks powered by the 11th-generation Intel Core i7 CPU with greater power efficiency and processing speeds than its predecessors.

The two laptops are available in 13.3-inch or 15.6-inch AMOLED display options. They also come with Thunderbolt 4 connectivity and overall durability which are the hallmarks of the design philosophy of Samsung. The AMOLED display is the same as that in the Galaxy series smartphones, featuring intelligent color engine technology that helps to produce high-quality screen output always. The AMOLED screen on the Galaxy Book Pro 360 features touchscreen support.

The laptops have been verified on Intel’s Evo platform and sport an ultra-thin and lightweight exterior and aluminum covering. You also get up to 8GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage, making both devices to be well suited for multiple tasks without being slowed down. The in-built microphone system in the laptops comes with an Intelligent Noise Cancellation Technology that makes it possible to have clearer and high-quality audio and video calls because it eliminates ambient disturbances when the mic is engaged.

On the software side, the Galaxy Book Pro and Galaxy Book Pro 360 come with several smart features such as SmartThings app to engage other smart devices in the home or other environment. There is also the Easy Bluetooth connection to connect to the Galaxy Buds and more. The Galaxy Book Pro in particular comes with an upgraded S Pen and has Clip Studio Paint preloaded into the laptop.

The Galaxy Book Pro has an upgraded stylus pen and is also preloaded with Clip Studio Paint. The Pro model starts at $999 for the base model while the 15-inch model will sell for $1,099. The laptop comes in two color variants – Mystic Blue, Mystic Silver, Mystic Pink Gold.

On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360 starts at $1,199 for the 13-inch model and $1,299 for the 15-inch high-end variant. The Pro 360 is also available in three colour options – Mystic Navy, Mystic Silver, Mystic Bronze.

Samsung Galaxy Book Pro, Galaxy Book Pro 360 live images appear on SafetyKorea certification

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Book Pro and Galaxy Book Pro 360 soon. Today, 91Mobiles have spotted the live images of the upcoming laptops on SafetyKorea certification.

As the report says, two Samsung laptops with the model numbers NT950XDB and NT950QDB appear on the SafetyKorea database. These laptops have already appeared on the Bluetooth SIG before and correspond to Galaxy Book Pro and Galaxy Book Pro 360 respectively.

The images of the Windows laptops reveal that both will feature full-sized keyboards on them. However, the Galaxy Book Pro 360, as the name suggests will have 360-degree hinges that can rotate it more than the Galaxy Book Pro. The former appears in Silver color while the latter will likely get a White color variant.

That said, these images look a lot like the renders shared by leaker Evan Blass. However, the Galaxy Book Pro 360 seems to have a Silver accent to it on live images unlike the Navy and Gold colors that Evan revealed. You can take a look at the images below:

The Galaxy Book Pro version and its 360 version are said to get 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch display variants. Speaking of which, the display is said to be an OLED panel this time.

The Galaxy Book Pro will likely have the conventional form factor of a traditional laptop while the 360 version will attract more of convertible lovers. The former will have Wi-Fi and LTE variants while the users of Galaxy Book Pro 360 will have options to choose either Wi-Fi-only / 5G variant.

In terms of specs, both of them are said to come with Intel 11th-gen i3/i5/i7 processors with Intel Iris Xe GPU, LPDDR4X RAM, and SSD storage.

Other expected specs include dedicated Nvidia MX 450 GPU(only on Galaxy Book Pro, 15.6-inch variant), S-Pen support, Thunderbolt 4 port, Live wallpapers, and access to Samsung exclusives like Samsung Notes, Smart Switch, SmartThings, Samsung DeX, Second Screen.
