Samsung Galaxy F34 finally receives Android 14 OS based One UI 6 update in India

Samsung is finally rolling out the Android 14 OS update for the Galaxy F34 5G model in India. The software upgrade brings the One UI 6 custom skin and also marks the first major update for the smartphone since its official release.

Now, the One UI 6 update is making its way to the Galaxy F34 5G model. The latest update carries the build version E346BXXU2BWL1/E346BODM2BWL1/E346BXXU2BWL1. Users can expect to see a big download size for this update, which crosses the 2GB mark.

Apart from the latest iteration of Android, the new software upgrade also features the November 2023 security patch for the smartphone. You can head to Settings to check if your device has received the new update. One UI 6 brings a revamped Quick Settings panel, improved Home Screen widgets, brand new emojis, new customization options for the lock screen, a new media player widget, a fresh default font, and more features.

To recall, the Samsung Galaxy F34 5G sports a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display that offers Full HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 1000 nits of peak brightness, and Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5. Under the hood, the device is equipped with the Exynos 1280 SoC that is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. A large 6,000mAh battery pack powers this handset. The rear packs a 50-megapixel triple camera setup, while the front houses a 13-megapixel selfie shooter. Samsung has announced the launch date of the Galaxy F34 5G smartphone in India. It is set to debut in the country next week. The South Korean brand has already put up a microsite of the upcoming offering on its website and Flipkart revealing key specifications. The device is also confirmed to be available from the e-commerce platform.

Additionally, the brand is also confirmed to launch the Crystal Vision 4K televisions in the country on the August 4. Samsung has also teased that the Galaxy F34 5G will be priced under Rs 17,000. We expect this to be for the base RAM and storage configuration.

As per the microsites, the Samsung Galaxy F34 5G is confirmed to feature a 6.5-inch sAMOLED display with a waterdrop notch and thick bottom chin. It will feature an FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 1,000 nits peak brightness, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. In terms of design, the smartphone has three vertically stacked camera sensors on the back panel. It will have a 50MP OIS-enabled main sensor. The upcoming offering will draw its power from a large 6,000mAh battery unit.

Samsung has also confirmed that the Galaxy F34 5G will get up to four generations of OS updates and five years of security patches.

The Galaxy F34 will pack a 6000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. Samsung claims that users will be able to get two days of life out of this on a single charge and basic usage.

Other specifications of this device are still unknown, but it will launch with a 5G-enabled processor. In all likelihood, it will be a rebranded version of the Exynos 1280-powered Galaxy M34 5G, which is available through Amazon in India.

Samsung has two new mid-range smartphones in development called the Galaxy M34 5G and Galaxy F34 5G. Going by the naming conventions, we can expect the devices to be positioned in the lower mid-range, slightly below the existing Galaxy A34 5G model. There have been no confirmations from the brand yet, however, the devices have appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification website, which is a mandatory certification to have if you want to launch your smartphone in India.

The highly anticipated launch of the Samsung Galaxy M34 5G and Galaxy F34 5G is expected to take place in the upcoming weeks, not just in India but also in other markets.
