Samsung Galaxy M33 5G goes on sale in India – pricing, offers & more

Last week, Samsung launched the Galaxy M33 5G smartphone in India. And starting today, the device has been made available for purchase to the customers.

The Samsung Galaxy M33 5G has is available in two memory configurations. The 6GB + 128GB configuration has a price tag of ₹18,999 while the 8GB + 128GB variant costs ₹20,499.

As an introductory offer, Samsung is offering a ₹1000 discount which brings the price down to ₹17,999 for the 6GB variant and ₹19,499 for the 8GB variant.

Additionally, purchasing the smartphone via an ICICI Credit and Debit (EMI only) will net you an additional ₹2,000 discount. The handset is available for purchase exclusively via Amazon India.

The Galaxy M33 5G features a 6.6-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a 2408 × 1080 pixel resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, Infinity V notch, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

Under the hood, the device houses an octa-core Exynos 1280 SoC with the Mali G68 GPU on board. The device is available with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage which can be further expanded by 1TB via a micro SD card. The phone runs on Android 12 with Samsung One UI 4.1. Two years of Android OS updates and 4 years of security updates are assured for the device. There is a 6000mAh battery on board with 25W fast charging support, but the charger needs to be purchased separately.

For optics, we get a quad-camera setup on the back comprising of a 50MP f/1.8 primary camera, a 5MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera, a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor, and a 2MP f/2.2 macro shooter. For selfies, we get an 8MP f/ 2.2 snapper.

The Samsung Galaxy M33 5G comes in two colors variants – Deep Ocean Blue and Mystique Green. It weighs 215grams and measures 165.4 × 76.9 × 9.4mm. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM, 5G, dual-band WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, GPS, and GLONASS.

Samsung Galaxy M33 5G smartphone has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs. 17,999 (~$237). The Galaxy M33 5G is a mid-ranger that has 5G connectivity, a 6.6-inch FHD+ LCD screen with 120Hz refresh rate, and is powered by Exynos 1280 chipset. The M33 5G is the successor to the Galaxy M22 5G which was unveiled in the subcontinent last year.

The Exynos 1280 5nm chip offers up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The storage can be expanded via the micro SD card to 1TB. The phone runs on Android 12 with Samsung One UI 4.1. Two years of Android OS updates and 4 years of security updates are assured for the device. The 6,000mAh battery of the Galaxy M33 5G guarantees extended use of the device. Up to 25W fast charging is also supported. Interested customers will however need to buy the charger separately.

The Samsung Galaxy M33 5G has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the front. Its quad rear camera setup consists of a 50MP main sensor, a 5MP ultra-wide, 2MP depth, and 2MP macro cameras. The 8MP front camera completes the Samsung Galaxy M33 5G camera setup. There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor on the device, while Bluetooth 5.1, GPS+GLONASS, and Wi-Fi 802.11 ac are also supported.

The Samsung Galaxy M33 5G will be available via Amazon India and Samsung India online store from April 8. While the 6GB/128GB RAM/ internal storage model will be sold for Rs. 17,999 (~$237), the 8GB/128GB model will be sold for Rs. 19,999 (~$257). Samsung India says it is offering instant discounts of Rs. 2,000 (~$26) for ICICI Bank Credit cards and EMI transactions. The Samsung Galaxy M33 5G will come in two color variants namely ocean blue and green.

Samsung has scheduled a launch event for April 2 for the release of the Galaxy M33 5G in India. Before it arrives, the tipster Yogesh Brar has shared the pricing and availability details of the smartphone.

The tipster reveals that the Samsung Galaxy M33 5G will come in two variants – 6GB RAM + 128GB variant and 8GB RAM + 128GB variant. The former variant will carry a box price of Rs. 24,999(~$330), but will be available for Rs. 21,999(~$290).

On the other hand, the top variant will have the box price of Rs. 26,999(~$356), but it will be available for Rs. 23,999(~$317). The phones are touted to get up to Rs. 2000 discounts.

Apart from the pricing, the tipster reveals that the device will come in three color variants. The color options aren’t revealed, but we have already seen the Blue and Green shades on the launch poster. The third one could be the Black option. Moreover, the phone will go on sale next week.

Earlier this month, the company revealed the phone’s specs via a press release. Samsung Galaxy M33 5G has a 6.6-inch TFT display with Full-HD+(1080 x 2408 pixels) resolution.
