It’s been a couple of weeks since Samsung launched its next-generation Note-series flagship smartphones — Samsung Galaxy Note10 and Galaxy Note10+. The Note10 and Note10+ have been available for pre-order for more than 11 days now, from August 9th.

Now, numbers are in for the pre-order of the Galaxy Note10 series smartphones and it indicates that these next-gen Note series smartphones have shattered the pre-order numbers of its predecessor.

According to a report from The Korea Herald, the pre-orders have surpassed the 1.3 million units mark in the company’s home country, South Korea. Notably, the numbers are double the number of Galaxy Note 9 pre-orders last year.

The report also notes that the carrier subsidies may have played a huge role, with carriers offering anywhere from 280,000 won (!$232) to $450,000 (!$372) subsidies to buyers. Before the carriers set subsidy limits, some agencies illegally offered up to 700,000 won (~$579) for Note 10 purchases, which accounts for more than half of the phone’s price.

Interestingly, the most popular Note10 model wasn’t the cheapest and the smallest variant. Instead, the most popular variant is the one which ships with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage out-of-the-box. The company said that Aura Glow 256GB Note 10+ model is the best-selling variant in the region.

The Samsung Galaxy Note10 series smartphones are all set to be available for purchase in all markets from 23rd August. The pricing of the Note10 starts at $949.99 in the US and ₹69,999 in India while the pricing of Note10+ starts at $1,099.99 in the US and ₹79,999 in India.

As for the specifications, the Samsung Galaxy Note10 features a 6.3-inch display while the bigger variant comes with a 6.8-inch display. Both the smartphones carry Dynamic AMOLED HDR+ screen with Full HD+ screen resolution. The devices are powered by Snapdragon 855 SoC or Exynos 9825 chipset, depending on the region.

In the camera department, the Note10 features a 12MP main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a dual aperture (f/1.5 and f/2.4). There’s also a telephoto camera with a 12MP sensor and OIS, plus a 123° ultra-wide-angle 16MP camera. The Note10+ has the same camera setup but also features an additional 3D ToF sensor. On the front side, both phones come equipped with a 10MP snapper.

Both phones run Android 9 Pie OS out-of-the-box with the company’s own Samsung One UI custom skin on top. The standard model is powered by a 3,500mAh battery with 25W fast charging support while the Plus variant is powered by a 4,300mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ flagship smartphones are all set to launch later today and in these final hours leading up to the event, new details about the phones have surfaced online.

The leaked promotional materials of the upcoming smartphones show the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 lying on top of the Galaxy Note 10+ alongside the S Pen, highlighting the size difference between the two phones.

The images of the leaked slides highlighting the phone’s features reveals that the Galaxy Note 10 will be a computer, a gaming console, and a film studio, all bundled into a single package that will be accompanied by the S Pen. It also shows fast charging support, intelligent battery optimisation algorithms, and an upgraded S Pen with support for aerial gestures.

Earlier leak related to the S Pen had claims that it will allow users to navigate through the phone’s UI without having to touch the screen. The newly leaked promotional slides suggest that it will also enable users to click photos and will also allow them to use it for clipping, editing, and handwriting-to-text conversion.

Moreover, the audio zoom feature has been detailed by the leaked images. It will have three separate mics for capturing crystal clear sound while recording videos. When users zoom on an area in the viewfinder, the phone will automatically magnify the audio signals coming from that direction.

Earlier today, we reported about the storage variants as well as color options for the Galaxy Note series smartphones in India. The base model will feature 256GB of internal storage and will come in Aura Black, Aura Red, and Aura Glow colors. The 512GB variant will come only in one color — Aura White.

On the other hand, the Galaxy Note 10+ will come with a base model featuring 512GB of storage and two color choices — Aura Black and Aura Glow. The 1TB storage variant will be available in three colors — Aura Black, Aura Glow and Aura White.

However, there’s no information available about the pricing of the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ smartphones for Indian market. Rumors have it that the Galaxy Note 10 series will be available for purchase in India from 23rd August.

Samsung is currently gearing up to launch its upcoming flagship smartphones at a launch event on 7th August — Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10 Plus. Ahead of the phone’s launch, we’ve seen a few renders of the device getting leaked.

Now, the leaks have gone a step ahead and a hand-on video using the dummy of Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus have surfaced online. It showcases the design of these upcoming devices and confirms the rumors of its design and features.

The first difference you’ll notice compared to the Galaxy Note 9 is the size of the device. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 features a 6.3-inch display, which is the smallest screen size since the Galaxy Note 7. On the other hand, the Plus variant of the smartphone comes with a 6.8-inch display.

Another thing that’s noticeable at first glance is the lack of 3.5mm headphone jack. Yes, Samsung has finally ditched that headphone jack and now you’ll have to rely on Bluetooth earphones or the USB Type-C earphones.

The positioning of the camera module has also been changed in the upcoming next-generation Galaxy Note-series smartphones. On the backside, the camera module is now placed in the top-left corner with sensors stacked vertically. As for the front-facing camera, it is at the center of the display.

As per the reports, the triple camera setup of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 will come with a primary sensor, a telephoto lens, and an ultra-wide lens. On the other hand, the Galaxy Note 10 Plus will come with four camera sensors on the back, where the fourth sensor will be a ToF lens that we saw on the Galaxy S10 5G model.

From the leaked video, it seems that most of the positions for the buttons will stay the same as its predecessor. The SIM card tray stays at the top while the S Pen slot is still at the bottom. As per the reports, there will be 5G models of both these devices — Note 10 and Note 10 Plus. Also, the 5G models are expected to be the same size as the 4G models.
