The Note series for this year is made up of two models the Galaxy note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra which is the high-end model. Both models share some features including the design and an S Pen stylus but there are several differences which we&#8217;ll highlight in this article.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134918.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-335678" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134918.jpg?x44794" alt="Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra" width="2000" height="1499" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134918.jpg 2000w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134918-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134918-768x576.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134918-1024x767.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134918-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134918-265x198.jpg 265w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134918-696x522.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134918-1068x800.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134918-560x420.jpg 560w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134918-1920x1439.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 2000px) 100vw, 2000px" /></a></p>
<p>The Galaxy Note 20 models feature support for 5G connectivity while the S Pen stylus on board the models also see an improvement to the latency of the S Pen and a few gestures controls added. The flagship phones also bring support for fast charging, wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging. Further, just as we predicted, the devices also feature the latest Corning Gorilla Glass Victus with a higher level of resistant to scratches.</p>
<p>Other features which the duo share include stereo speakers, Android 10 OS and IP68 water resistance. The two phones can equally record videos at 8K and support external microphone options. In addition, Dex now works wirelessly (via Miracast) and both phones have some important new Microsoft software features. There is also Bixby smart assistant support.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134923.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-335679" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134923.jpg?x44794" alt="Samsung Galaxy Note 20" width="2000" height="1499" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134923.jpg 2000w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134923-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134923-768x576.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134923-1024x767.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134923-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134923-265x198.jpg 265w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134923-696x522.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134923-1068x800.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134923-560x420.jpg 560w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134923-1920x1439.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 2000px) 100vw, 2000px" /></a></p>
<p>In terms of the designs, the Galaxy Note 20 series utilises a unique type of finish which is dubbed by Samsung as “Mystic.” The phones feature glass panels on their rear aspects but with a textured finish tailored towards keeping fingerprints from sticking to be the panel.</p>
<h4><strong>Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra Hardware and Features</strong></h4>
<p>The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra adopts a somewhat impressive and aesthetically appealing design. TheNote 20 Ultra sports a mammoth 6.9-inch OLED display with QHD+ resolution of 1440 pixels and 120Hz refresh rate support. The screen is curved at the sides, minimizing the bezels on the sides. There is a single hole punch at the top which houses the selfie camera and helps minimize the size of the top bezel. The bezel at the bottom edge is also considerably small.</p>
<p>On the camera aspect, the phone packs a triple camera setup at the rear including a 108 megapixels main shooter. The device also packs a periscope lens which explains why the camera bump on the Note 20 Ultra is big.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134906.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-335681" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134906.jpg?x44794" alt="Samsung Galaxy Note 20" width="2000" height="1499" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134906.jpg 2000w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134906-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134906-768x576.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134906-1024x767.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134906-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134906-265x198.jpg 265w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134906-696x522.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134906-1068x800.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134906-560x420.jpg 560w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134906-1920x1439.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 2000px) 100vw, 2000px" /></a></p>
<p>The Note 20 Ultra is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus processor paired with 12GB of RAM. There is no mention of a 16GB RAM option just as rumoured. The device is available in 256GB and 512GB storage options which can be expanded via an SD card. To keep the lights on is a 4,500mAh. The device supports both SA/NSA 5G connectivity</p>
<p>Samsung also tossed in an Ultra-Wideband (UWB) radio to make it easier for phones to transfer files by pointing them at each other and — eventually — to support unlocking cars.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/samsung-galaxy-note-20.png?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-335713" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/samsung-galaxy-note-20.png?x44794" alt="Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra" width="736" height="506" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/samsung-galaxy-note-20.png 736w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/samsung-galaxy-note-20-300x206.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/samsung-galaxy-note-20-100x70.png 100w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/samsung-galaxy-note-20-218x150.png 218w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/samsung-galaxy-note-20-696x479.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/samsung-galaxy-note-20-611x420.png 611w" sizes="(max-width: 736px) 100vw, 736px" /></a></p>
<h4><strong>Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Specs &amp; Hardware</strong></h4>
<p>The Galaxy Note 20 equally presents with a massive display but slightly less than the Ultra at 6.7-inch with a resolution of 1080p. Unfortunately, the display only supports 60Hz refresh rate and no more.</p>
<p>In terms of the design, the Galaxy Note 20 is slightly more curved at the edge than the Ultra with more visible bezels. It is also powered by a Snapdragon 865+ chipset but there is only 128GB of storage available on all variants which can&#8217;t be expanded by microSD.</p>
<p>The camera setup is also different from the Ultra as it packs a 12-megapixel main camera teaming up with a 12-megapixel ultrawide sensor. There is also a 64-megapixel telephoto lens and its non-periscope-enabled version of Space Zoom — which goes up to 30x.</p>
<p>Keeping the lights on is a 4,300mAh battery. Finally, the Galaxy Note 20 will come in Bronze, Gray, and Green which the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will be available in Bronze, Gray and White colour.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134928.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-335680" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134928.jpg?x44794" alt="" width="2000" height="1499" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134928.jpg 2000w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134928-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134928-768x576.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134928-1024x767.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134928-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134928-265x198.jpg 265w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134928-696x522.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134928-1068x800.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134928-560x420.jpg 560w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134928-1920x1439.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 2000px) 100vw, 2000px" /></a></p>
<h4><strong>Pricing &amp; Availability</strong></h4>
<p>The Galaxy Note 20 sole 8GB+128GB variant carries a price tag of $999.99 despite missing out on the 120Hz refresh rate, periscope lens and expandable storage.</p>
<p>On the other hand, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is priced at $1,299.99 for the 12GB+256GB variant. The price goes up to $1,499.99 for the 12GB+512GB version. Preorders for both models will commence at 12:01 AM ET on August 6th. The phones are expected to start shipping on August 21st.</p>
