<p>The information arrives from a YouTube video from <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nd6PJ2SjfL0" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">XEETECHCARE</a>. While we have already covered a number of reports and rumors related to the Galaxy S22 Ultra&#8217;s specifications, the new video offers us more details about its S Pen. With the South Korean tech giant being intent on continuing the Note series with its annual flagship&#8217;s Ultra models, the new information might be welcomed by Galaxy Note fans. Reportedly, the brand has improved upon the stylus, which will now be three times faster than the Galaxy Note20 Ultra.</p>
<p>Looking at the video, the company has worked on the S Pen to reduce the input delay or latency for the S Pen to just 2.8 ms when paired with the Galaxy S22 Ultra. This is more than three times faster than the 9 ms input lag of the S Pen on the Galaxy Note20 Ultra. Through this improvement, the YouTuber claims that Samsung is aiming on offering users a handwriting experience that is close to the real deal. He even called it as &#8220;the fastest, most realistic S Pen with 3x improved pen latency.”</p>

<p>Apart from this, the Tech YouTuber also shared that the upcoming top end model of the flagship series will be the first to support the 12 bit HDR standard. Unfortunately, this is still an unconfirmed report, so take it with a pinch of salt for now. The Galaxy S22 series is expected to launch sometime in February 2022, so stick around for more updates.</p>

<p>Recently, the South Korean giant launched the Galaxy Note20 lineup and since the Galaxy S20 didn&#8217;t perform well, expectations were high with the newly announced Galaxy Note20 lineup to make up for the weak sales of the S20 series.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-330974 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Galaxy-Note20-Ultra.png?x44794" alt="Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra" width="920" height="575" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Galaxy-Note20-Ultra.png 920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Galaxy-Note20-Ultra-300x188.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Galaxy-Note20-Ultra-768x480.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Galaxy-Note20-Ultra-696x435.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Galaxy-Note20-Ultra-672x420.png 672w" sizes="(max-width: 920px) 100vw, 920px" /></p>
<p>However, a <a href="http://www.thelec.net/news/articleView.html?idxno=1808">new report</a> coming from Korea claims that Samsung has scaled down the production of the Galaxy Note20 series smartphones, indicating that the sales are not as per the company&#8217;s expectations.</p>
<p>The report claims that the company aimed to product 900,000 units of the Note20 lineup in October but only manufactured 600,000 units &#8212; only 70 percent of what the brand originally planned to make.</p>
<p style="text-align: center"><strong><span style="color: #ff0000">EDITOR&#8217;S PICK:</span> </strong><a title="OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition launched for 3,999 yuan ($597)" href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/11/02/oneplus-8t-cyberpunk-2077-limited-edition-price-specs-design-features/" rel="bookmark"><strong>OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition launched in China for a price of 3,999 yuan ($597)</strong></a></p>
<p>It further adds that the production ratio between the Galaxy Note20 and Galaxy <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-note20-ultra-5g/">Note20 Ultra</a> was around 1:2, and the drop in the production rate for the Note20 was worst compared to the Note20 Ultra.</p>
<p>The report also adds that the company is now gearing up to start the production for the next-generation Samsung <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/galaxy-s21">Galaxy S21</a> series smartphones from next month and for the initial batch, the company is aiming to make two million units.</p>
<p>Samsung recently announced its financial report for the third quarter in which the smartphone sales increased 50 percent compared to the previous quarter, but the credit for that goes to the low-end and mid-range offerings more than the premium models.</p>

These historic landmarks include St. Basils Cathedral in Russia, Hagia Sophia in Turkey, Parthenon in Greece and Forbidden City in China.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/samsung-galaxy-note-20-ultra-limited-edition.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-338619" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/samsung-galaxy-note-20-ultra-limited-edition.jpg?x44794" alt="" width="770" height="508" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/samsung-galaxy-note-20-ultra-limited-edition.jpg 770w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/samsung-galaxy-note-20-ultra-limited-edition-300x198.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/samsung-galaxy-note-20-ultra-limited-edition-768x507.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/samsung-galaxy-note-20-ultra-limited-edition-696x459.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/samsung-galaxy-note-20-ultra-limited-edition-637x420.jpg 637w" sizes="(max-width: 770px) 100vw, 770px" /></a></p>
<p>Among them, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra Hagia Sophia version is covered with a black marble carving layer. Only 99 units of the smartphone will be produced and it carries a retail price of $5830.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/samsung-limited-edition-smartphone.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-338620" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/samsung-limited-edition-smartphone.jpg?x44794" alt="" width="770" height="588" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/samsung-limited-edition-smartphone.jpg 770w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/samsung-limited-edition-smartphone-300x229.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/samsung-limited-edition-smartphone-768x586.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/samsung-limited-edition-smartphone-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/samsung-limited-edition-smartphone-696x531.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/samsung-limited-edition-smartphone-550x420.jpg 550w" sizes="(max-width: 770px) 100vw, 770px" /></a></p>

The model comes with 12GB of RAM and in this case 256GB storage. Caviar offers free shipping to anywhere in the world for the models.</p>

While the Galaxy Note20 Ultra has continued to receive rave reviews, the same can&#8217;t be said of the Note20. Most complaints are centred around the display lacking a high refresh rate and the presence of a plastic back panel.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/samsung-galaxy-note-20.png?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-335713" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/samsung-galaxy-note-20.png?x44794" alt="Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra" width="736" height="506" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/samsung-galaxy-note-20.png 736w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/samsung-galaxy-note-20-300x206.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/samsung-galaxy-note-20-100x70.png 100w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/samsung-galaxy-note-20-218x150.png 218w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/samsung-galaxy-note-20-696x479.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/samsung-galaxy-note-20-611x420.png 611w" sizes="(max-width: 736px) 100vw, 736px" /></a></p>
<p>Turns out that the internals of the device isn&#8217;t one to be happy about. YouTuber channel PBKreviews has shared a video teardown of the vanilla Note20 giving us our first peek at the internals of the cheaper new Note. Sadly, the arrangement of the internal components means the device won&#8217;t be an easy one to repair.</p>
<p><iframe loading="lazy" width="696" height="392" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/-SKoM4YzizA?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe></p>
<p>The teardown started rolling with the reviewer taking off the back cover, first by applying heat and using the pry tool. Removing the back cover reveals the internal components, prominent of which is the 12MP wide and 64MP telephoto cameras which boast OIS. Heading down, you&#8217;ll find the wireless charging pad, earpiece and the 4,300 mAh battery. The S Pen dock is tucked in right next to the battery.</p>
<p>Talking of the battery, there is no pull tabs on the body which makes it difficult to remove the battery should there be any reason to want to do so. The only way to take it out is to heat up the adhesive and then apply alcohol. Then it becomes easy to yank it off using the pry tool.</p>
<p>The Galaxy Note20 features an under-screen fingerprint sensor and it is located under the battery compartment. The sensor is part of the display and is not easy to replace without prior knowledge. The display can be taken off after all the internal components are removed. All that is needed is some heat and the pry tool.</p>

Although there are several new and powerful features on the device, the Galaxy Note20 Ultra isn&#8217;t as powerful as the Galaxy S20 Ultra which was launched earlier this year.</p>
<p>It is the first device to come with Samsung Display&#8217;s Lower Display Power Technology named HOP and the newly launched Corning <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/07/23/cornings-toughest-gorilla-glass-victus-announced-may-feature-on-the-galaxy-note-20/">Gorilla Glass Victus</a>.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-335679 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134923.jpg?x44794" alt="Samsung Galaxy Note 20" width="2000" height="1499" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134923.jpg 2000w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134923-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134923-768x576.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134923-1024x767.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134923-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134923-265x198.jpg 265w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134923-696x522.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134923-1068x800.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134923-560x420.jpg 560w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/IMG_20200805_134923-1920x1439.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 2000px) 100vw, 2000px" /></p>
<p>For the display, there&#8217;s low-temperature polycrystalline oxide (LTPO) thin-film transistor (TFT) technology, <a href="http://www.thelec.net/news/articleView.html?idxno=1334">reports The Elec</a>. It is a combination of the best qualities of low-temperature polycrystalline silicon (LTPS) TFT and oxide TFT.</p>
<p>The LPTO technology is claimed to reduce the power consumption of <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/oled">OLED</a> panels by 15 percent to 20 percent compared to LTPS. It even saves battery life when using AR and VR technology, as well as 5G connectivity.</p>
<p style="text-align: center"><strong><span style="color: #ff0000">EDITOR&#8217;S PICK:</span> </strong><a title="TikTok might go to court against Trump’s executive order banning the app" href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/08/07/tiktok-threatens-court-action-executive-order/" rel="bookmark"><strong>TikTok warns it might go to court against Trump’s executive order banning the app</strong></a></p>
<p>The technology was first used by LG for the OLED panels on Apple Watch in 2018 and then Samsung used the same tech for the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/12/24/samsung-galaxy-watch-active2-4g-launched-india/">Galaxy Watch Active2</a> a year later. Now, Samsung is expected to use this HOP technology for next year&#8217;s Apple iPhone as well.</p>
<p>As for the camera, the Note20 Ultra packs 108-megapixel wide-angle lens, a 12-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor on the back. In comparison, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s20-ultra/">S20 Ultra</a> features a 48MP telephoto lens. The Note20 Ultra also lacks a 3D ToF sensor and instead, comes with a laser auto-focus sensor.</p>
<p>Also, the company has reduced the 100x Space Zoom feature of the S20 Ultra to just 50x Space Zoom on the Note20 Ultra. But, the 5x optical zoom support remains intact. While the camera output may offer better results, on paper, the camera configuration doesn&#8217;t seem as powerful as S20 Ultra.</p>

While most of the details about the phones have surfaced online, we are getting some more info ahead of the launch.</p>
<p>While the flagship smartphones will come powered by the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/07/08/qualcomm-snapdragon-865-plus-5g-is-official-and-it-is-clocked-at-3-1ghz/">Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus</a> chipset, some markets will get the Samsung Exynos 990 variant. The new report claims that the Exynos 990 has been improved and seems more like 990 Plus.</p>
<figure id="attachment_333428" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-333428" style="width: 703px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" class="wp-image-333428 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Galaxy-Note20-featured.jpg?x44794" alt="Galaxy Note20 featured" width="703" height="512" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Galaxy-Note20-featured.jpg 703w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Galaxy-Note20-featured-300x218.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Galaxy-Note20-featured-324x235.jpg 324w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Galaxy-Note20-featured-696x507.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Galaxy-Note20-featured-577x420.jpg 577w" sizes="(max-width: 703px) 100vw, 703px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-333428" class="wp-caption-text">Samsung Galaxy Note20</figcaption></figure>
<p>Essentially, it is said that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/10/23/samsung-announces-7nm-euv-exynos-990-flagship-processor/">Exynos 990 chipset</a> packed inside the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note20 smartphone is different from the one found in the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s20-5g">Galaxy S20</a> series smartphones launched earlier this year.</p>
<p>The Exynos 990 chipset has been optimized with improved performance and will be on-par with the newly announced <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/qualcomm">Qualcomm</a> Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset. However, this is just a claim by a tipster and we need to test the device once it launches, to confirm the claim related to improved performance.</p>

<p lang="en" dir="ltr">I Hope everyone understands this:</p>
<p>The Exynos 990 on Note 20 series is an improved version with better optimization than the Snapdragon version and runs just as cool and just as fast as the Snapdragon. Its like an Exynos 990+</p>
