Tech giant Samsung has reported a record-breaking pre-order performance in the UK market for its flagship Galaxy S21 5G Series, barely a month after the launch of the products. Although the brand did not reveal the figure, it surpassed pre-orders for the preceding Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S10 series.

Samsung says the new sales figures were driven by the cutting-edge technology deployed to provide industry-leading features for the flagship 5G series including a powerful camera system. The Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G smartphone leads the pack. With its 6.8-inch AMOLED display, the S21 Ultra 5G has the largest display among the models in the Galaxy S21 series. It also features an impressive and powerful camera that can transform a rookie into a professional photographer, as it is capable of capturing professional photos. The S21 Ultra 5G has a great system of adjusting the screen refresh rate to suit the content being viewed, implying better battery performance, in addition to an impressive battery pack.

Another icing on the cake for the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G, is the incorporation of the S Pen technology that enables anyone to easily do important tasks like taking notes and other activities requiring a pen for a seamless experience. Samsung is expected to go official with the Galaxy S21 series in about a week’s time. The flagship series has continued to dominate headlines and even Samsung has been pretty generous with the device. A telecom carrier in Belgium – Voo has inadvertently unraveled the expected prices of the Galaxy S21 series.

The carrier accidentally posted the prices the three models will retail for in Europe and the specs sheet of the models. Although the pages have been taken down, a tipster was able to grab some screenshots (pictured) before the removal.

Going by the listing, the vanilla Galaxy S21 with 128GB storage will sell for €849 off-contract. On the other hand, the Galaxy S21+ will retail for €1,049 while the Galaxy S21 Ultra will sell for €1,399 for the base 128GB storage variants. This is similar to the €1,000 price tag for the Ultra which was earlier tipped. Another interesting aspect, going by this leak, is that the other two models are still cheaper than their predecessors.

Taking a look at the specs sheets grabbed from Voo’s website before the landing pages were removed, we can gather that the EU version may likely launch with an Exynos 2100 chipset onboard. Considering the efforts put in by Samsung in the chip development, we expect the performance to be topnotch. Samsung will equally launch Snapdragon 888-powered versions for select markets.

Other details include Android 11 across the board, AMOLED screens, a USB-C connector, 3.5mm audio jack, and more. The models also come with fast charging and wireless charging support.

In continuation of the sequence of leaks connected with Samsung’s upcoming lineup of high-end smartphones, another seeming drawback detail has been leaked. Virtually all the important details have been revealed well ahead of the official unveiling of the Galaxy S21 models on January 14, 2021.

As is expected, the smartphone should come with several improvements on all fronts, from previous models. However, a recent leak may indicate that Samsung may have regressed in some respect, with the absence of storage expansion capability that comes with the inclusion of a MicroSD slot.

All three Galaxy S21 models could lack this microSD expansion capability, although some pundits may be of the opinion that the absence of a microSD slot may be overcome by having larger internal storage in the devices.

Previous leaks had already hinted that the Galaxy S21 series may come without a microSD slot, and today, industry authority Roland Quandt, is seemingly confirming the story when he said that a memory card reader is not included on the Galaxy S21 specifications sheet. It is speculated that Samsung decided to do away with expandable storage for the Galaxy S21 lineup as a market strategy to enhance the uniqueness of its flagship models, and stand them out among the competition.

Samsung has taken such actions previously. All of its 2015 premium models were without a MicroSD slot, with some models in 2019 and 2020 also lacking a microSD slot. It would seem that these moves do not significantly affect the company’s bottom line as sales continued on an upward trajectory except last year, obviously due to the coronavirus pandemic. Customers shouldn’t expect a charger in the box, this time around.

It is worth reminding us, however, that these remain speculations, as Samsung is yet to debunk or confirm the stories. However, there could also be some substance in at least some of the stories on the eve of the release of the S21 lineup. We keep our fingers crossed and await the official launch in a fortnight with bated breath.

Samsung recently started accepting reservations for the upcoming Galaxy S21 series smartphones in the United States which guarantees a pre-order slot when the device becomes available. The flagship Galaxy S-series smartphone lineup is expected to go official on January 14. Even though the company is yet to confirm this, the early pre-order may well be a pointer to the imminent launch.

Ahead of the launch, the official cases of the Galaxy S21 series have leaked online. The leaked images come thanks to tipster Ishan Agarwal in collaboration with MySmartPrice. The tipster disclosed that Samsung will unveil several casings for the Galaxy s21 series bearing different designs and manufactured using different materials. The materials include Clear view Cover, Led Cover, Led View cover, Silicone Case, Leather cover, protective Standing Cover, Cler protective cover, Clear Standing Cover, and Clear Cover.

The tipster noted that the January 14 launch date which is yet to be announced is embedded in one of the images. Also, he notes that the Clear View Case for the Galaxy S21 Ultra is wide due to the presence of housing for the S-Pen. Also, the leather case will be available in several colours such as classic tan brown, and black. The casing will also include a flip variant including one with a vertical clear strip that shows notification and another without any clear aspect.

To recall, the Galaxy S21 series is expected to include the base S21 and the S21 Plus. Both models will come with IP68 dustproof and water-resistant ratings. The Galaxy S21 will come with a plastic rear, while the S21+ will have a glass back. Both models will be powered by either an Exynos 2100 SoC or a Snapdragon 888 chipset, depending on the region.

We expect the Korean tech giant to announce the launch date pretty soon.

Samsung has been relatively generous with leaks surrounding the next-generation Galaxy flagship – the Galaxy S21. If we consider that the device is set to be released in January, then the leaks aren’t coming in too early. Not too long after we saw the purported real-life images of the Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra, a new leak has emerged said to be the display glass panel of the three Galaxy S21 models.

The image containing the glass panels was posted by the noted Samsung leaker Ice universe on his Instagram page. The picture provides us with a side by side size comparison and also affirm the previous renders of the Galaxy S21 models.

The Galaxy S21 trio will have a near-bezel-less display of which the bottom bezel is slightly thicker than the side and top bezels but the difference is negligible.

The panels also show that all the models won’t have any form of cut-outs on their displays. Recall that Samsung used a punch-hole design on the Galaxy S20 models. The company may shift to an under-screen display type for the new model.

The Galaxy S21 Ultra is shown to have a 6.9-inch screen size while the Galaxy S21 Plus will feature a 6.7-inch display. Finally, the base Galaxy S21 model will pack a 6.3-inch screen size.

The recent leak of the Galaxy S21 models gave us a glimpse of the rear aspects of the Galaxy S21 Ultra and Galaxy S21 Plus. The Galaxy S21 Ultra is said to pack a 108MP main camera as well as a 12MP ultrawide-angle sensor and two 10MP telephoto shooters with one of them having 10x optical zoom capability.

On the other hand, the Galaxy S21+ camera configuration is given to include a 12MP main sensor and a 12MP ultrawide camera alongside a 64MP telephoto module. The two models will feature glass panels donning a matte finish.
