Yesterday, we got our first look at the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus via CAD renders. Now, a new report has emerged that reveals the design of the vanilla Galaxy S23.

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S23 series of smartphones in January or February of 2023. We are still a few months away from launch. However, popular tipster OnLeaks has revealed the CAD renders of the Galaxy S23 in collaboration with Digit.

Earlier reports have stated that the Galaxy S23 will not have any significant changes from the S22. However, according to these renders, the camera array will get a new look on the upcoming device. It will ditch the camera island approach in favor of the S22 Ultra-inspired individually protruding lenses for each camera. The renders also reveal that the display will have slightly thicker bezels going around it.

OnLeaks has claimed that the phone will be slightly bigger – roughly 146.3 x 70.8 x 7.6 mm in size – compared to the Samsung Galaxy S22. The screen size will remain 6.1-inches diagonally, and the panel will most likely offer a 120Hz refresh rate.

Samsung Galaxy S23 specs (rumored)

So far, rumors surrounding the Galaxy S23 suggest that the device will debut with the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The display specs will mostly remain the same as last generation and the battery is said to see a 5 percent increase in capacity. Finer details about the specs are not available at the moment. Rumors and leaks regarding Samsung’s Galaxy S23 have started to pick up the pace. Recently, we got some information on the display of the upcoming Galaxy S23 series. Now, a noted tipster has revealed the upcoming Galaxy S23 will come with slightly thicker bezels than the Galaxy S22. The difference is minute, but it may make the device look bulkier.

Noted tipster Ice Universe claims that Samsung will be widening all four bezels for the Galaxy S23 by 0.15mm. This will not make a huge difference, but it could make the device look slightly bulkier as compared to its predecessor.

Recently, the tipster also revealed that the Galaxy S23 will have the same 6.1 display but it will be slightly longer and wider than the existing model, and the extra 0.15mm bezels explain how.

The upcoming Galaxy S23 series is said to feature no upgrades in terms of display size. However, they may feature better specs, like supporting a higher peak brightness level, lower power consumption, and more.

Just like this year, the S23 series may have three models—the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. The top-tier S23 Ultra is said to feature some serious upgrades. A recent report suggests the device will feature a 200-megapixel primary sensor on the back having a size of 1/1.3 inches and 0.6μm sized pixels and a larger aperture of f/1.7 for getting in more light.

All the models in the series are expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 SoC and will focus on battery efficiency. Samsung is yet to reveal any details about the series. The Galaxy S23 series will launch in 2023.
