It is already rumored to feature a 200-megapixel camera sensor. Now a new leak reveals the Galaxy S23 Ultra will sport a new and improved fingerprint sensor with a comparatively larger scanning area.

According to tipster Alvin, the upcoming Galaxy S23 Ultra could use Qualcomm’s 3D Sonic Max fingerprint scanning technology. This is the same sensor that is used in phones like Vivo X80 Pro and iQOO 9 Pro. It reportedly has a huge scanning area and can scan a finger very quickly.

The new fingerprint is a welcome change. However, we are unsure if Samsung will implement it in all the S23 series smartphones or just in the Galaxy S23 ultra. In any case, all we can do is wait for an official confirmation.

A recent leak revealed that the Galaxy S23 Ultra will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which is said to launch in November this year. The chipset will be manufactured by TSMC and will be based on the 4nm process.

Further, the device is claimed to feature the same 5000mAh battery as its predecessor. However, the S23 Ultra will definitely offer a better life than the S22 ultra. The latter is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 gen 1 chipset which is not exactly known for being energy-efficient.

In addition, the Samsung flagship is said to feature a 200-megapixel Samsung HP2 main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera. The device will likely take smartphone photography to a new level.

As mentioned, Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is expected to launch in January 2023 alongside the Galaxy S23+ and the vanilla Galaxy S22.
