However, there are some excellent options that might offer you more value for the money.

1. Samsung Galaxy S23

The Galaxy S23 5G is a no-brainer pick over the Oppo Reno 13 for many reasons. It’s a flagship smartphone rocking a high-quality 6.1-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. Samsung is working on the latest One UI 6.0 which is based on the latest Android 14. The latest iteration of Samsung’s own One UI skin adds several new changes and features. The Beta testing is already going on several Samsung Galaxy Smartphones including the latest Galaxy S23 series. Following the One UI 6.0 Beta 6 update a couple of days ago, some users are now reporting issues with the Samsung RAW app.

Several reports have come across the Samsung Community in Korea reporting the same issue. As per screenshots, it is asking for an update when the user tries to open the app. In response to one such thread, Samsung’s Camera Incharge confirmed that the issue is on the Galaxy S23 Series running One UI 6.0 Beta 6.

The unmatched app version in Beta 6 binary seems culprit behind the issue. The team is now working to bring a new update for the Expert RAW app which will resolve the issues. However, there’s no exact time given for the update, but we expect it to arrive as soon as possible. The Samsung Galaxy S23 models have started receiving the August 2023 security patch in Thailand. The update does not bring any interesting features but it bumps the security and privacy of the smartphones. Here are the details.

Galaxy S23 series gets security improvements

Sammobile reports the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra models have started to get the August 2023 security patch with the firmware version S91xBXXU3AWGJ. The changelog of the update only mentions reliability and stability improvements. But as the outlet points out, Samsung may release more details once the update reaches to South Korea. The company should post the detailed changelog in its community forums.

As previously mentioned, the update is currently only being rolled out in Thailand. Samsung is expected to extend this update to other regions in the coming days. If you own a Galaxy S23, S23+, or S23 Ultra, you will be able to download the August update from the phone’s “Settings” » “Software update” menu once it becomes available in your country.

In the near future, the Korean tech giant could also start the Android 14 beta for the Galaxy S23 series. Reports have claimed that the One UI 6.0 beta for the latest Samsung flagships will start this month, with no official confirmation from the brand yet. We are 10 days into July and Samsung has started to push this month’s security patch to eligible devices. As usual, the latest Galaxy S23 flagships were one of the first to pick up the update in the US last week. Now, the company has started to expand the availability of the July 2023 security update in other regions, starting with Europe. It brings a number of security and bug fixes to the Galaxy S23 series. Here are the details.

Galaxy S23 phones get security fixes with the new update

As reported by Sammobile, the Galaxy S23 units in Europe have started to receive the July 2023 security patch. The software update is said to be available throughout the old continent with version number  S91xBXXS3AWF7. The security patch comes packed in a 429.68MB size and apparently fixes over 90 security flaws found in the previous version. It should make it to other regions in the coming days.

It seems the update does not bring any major features or improvements. It shouldn’t be surprising since it was only last month when Samsung released a “super” camera update for the S23 series, which addresses night mode, and autofocus among other issues.

Samsung Galaxy S23 users in Europe should be getting an OTA notification for the update. If not, they can head to Settings and Software Update and tap Download and Install to install the update on their phones.

The Korean company may also allow S23 users to test the new One UI 6 based on Android 14 very soon. Reports suggest the beta program for the software will commence in less than a month, presumably before the Unpacked event scheduled on July 26.

As expected Samsung has launched a new colour option of the Galaxy S23. The new variant is called Galaxy S23 Lime. The smartphone was launched earlier in February this year and it was offered in Phantom Black, Green, Lavender, and Cream colors. The latest Lime hue joins the other four shades.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Lime color variant has a slightly different shade compared to the Green option. The smartphone’s design and core specifications as well as pricing remain the same. The new color variant will be available for purchase from leading online and offline retail stores starting May 16th. 

As a part of the launch offers, customers can get an upgrade bonus of Rs 8,000 along with a cashback of Rs 5,000 on the purchase of the Galaxy S23. This will bring down th price of the smartphone to Rs 61,999. There is also 9-months no-cost EMI on HDFC Bank cards.

It’s been a few weeks since Samsung, the world’s largest smartphone manufacturer, launched its flagship Galaxy S-series lineup for this year, which includes three phones — Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra.

Going by the company’s track record, the South Korean giant should launch a new device in the lineup — Galaxy S23 FE. There have also been some leaks related to the phone, indicating its launch somewhere around August, but that may not be the case.

According to the latest report, Samsung may skip releasing the Fan Edition for the S-series this year, meaning that the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE may not get launched. Apart from the Galaxy S23 FE not launching this year, there’s not much known about this.

It is not yet clear if the Galaxy S23 FE isn’t launching this year, then it is getting canceled or postponed. It doesn’t make sense for Samsung to launch the phone next year as in early 2024, there will be a successor to the Galaxy S23 lineup. So, it’s pretty safe to assume that if the S23 FE isn’t getting launched this year, it’s not coming to the market.

The Fan Edition or the FE offering for the flagship Galaxy S-series is meant to be a “flagship killer” type of device, and the company launches it with a similar kind of budget. But, the problem is that the previous year’s S-series lineup becomes available at a discounted rate, and then there are mid-range and upper mid-range Galaxy A-series phones, giving tough competition to the FE model.

As of now, it’s safe to assume that the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE isn’t getting launched, especially after the fact that the company didn’t launch the Galaxy S22 FE last year. Based on the developments, it appears that Samsung is done with the Fan Edition offerings.

1. Download and Install the Game Booster (v5.0.03.0) on your Galaxy smartphone from the Galaxy Store.
2. Now, Connect your device to a charger. (Note: Your device should support 25W Superfast charging and the adapter should also be of output more than 25W. )
3. Open any Game via the Game Launcher app.
4. Minimize your game, open the Game Launcher app, tap on three vertical dots at the top-right corner, and select Game Booster.
5. Now, Game Booster Settings will open, where you have to toggle the Pause USB Power Delivery feature.
6. Once enabled, you can start enjoying the game again by bypassing the battery.
7. It will automatically turn off once you minimize or exit the game, or even if you unplug the charger.

However, as per reports from Sammobile and YouTube NL Tech, the feature allows the phone to fetch power as required from the adapter. During the test, the phone was using 15W to 20W power while playing some games. However, the value was around 6W while playing Call of Duty Mobile on the Galaxy S22+.

Last year, Samsung got into hot waters with its users and the tech community as it was secretly throttling the performance of nearly 10,000 apps using its Game Optimizing Service (GOS). However, the kicker was that benchmarking apps were not being throttled by GOS, which can be seen as a blatant breach of trust. Worse yet, there was no way of disabling it manually.

Although a service like GOS made sense if you want to game for extended periods without burning your fingers on your smartphone or draining the battery too quickly, the app should never have interfered with non-gaming apps and should have allowed users to choose if they wanted to implement this low-performance mode.

Ever since this issue was brought to light, Samsung has made amends and has enabled a toggle within One UI that allows users to turn off GOS manually. By turning off Game Optimizing Service, users are able to access the full power of their chipsets in scenarios like gaming.

Samsung is getting ready for the Galaxy Unpacked launch event which is scheduled to take place on February 1. The star of the show will definitely be the Galaxy S23 Ultra, however, the vanilla Galaxy S23 and the Galaxy S23 Plus will also be debuting with impressive specs and features. So, let’s take a closer look at these two non-Ultra models to see what Samsung has in store for us.

Design & Display

Design-wise, there won’t be much of a difference between the two devices, however, the Plus model will obviously be a bit bigger. Both devices will feature a flat back design paired with a triple camera setup, with the lenses directly protruding from the frame. This is the same design language featured in previous Ultra variants of the flagship Samsung smartphones, and now its finally making its way to the vanilla and Plus models.

The right side houses the volume rocker and power buttons, and there is no sign of a Bixby button on both of these devices. Both the Galaxy S22 & the S22 Plus come with a 6.1 & 6.6-inch Infinity-O display with a small centered cutout for the front camera. Both of these panels offer FHD+ (2,340 x 1,080) resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ support. The pixel density is 425 PPI and a Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protects the display. The display’s refresh rate can fluctuate dynamically between 48 Hz and 120 Hz. There are evenly slim bezels going around the devices that make them quite pleasant to look at.

Specifications

Both the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset powering them. What’s surprising and a cause for celebration is that all regions will be getting the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-equipped models this time around. These phones will have different-sized batteries, with the smaller model featuring a 3,900 mAh unit, while the Plus model will be equipped with a 4,700 mAh battery. The smaller model has support for 25 W wired and 10 W wireless charging, while the Plus model is said to feature 45W fast charging support.

The cameras in the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ will be inherited from their predecessors. Google‘s Fast Pair feature is set to debut on smartphones soon according to decompiled data assessed by 9to5Google. The data suggests the quick setup feature will be included on Samsung‘s upcoming Galaxy S23 which is set to debut on February 1st.

Fast Pair is a feature developed by Google to make it easier to set up new Android devices. The feature works by allowing one Android device to detect another device that hasn’t been set up yet. When this happens, a Fast Pair pop-up menu will appear, allowing users to follow on-screen steps to move their data from their old device to the new one. This can include contacts, photos, and other personal information.

Currently, Fast Pair supports headphones and smartwatches, but support for trackers and styluses is coming soon. When setting up a Samsung device, for example, users can use Samsung’s Smart Switch app to move their data. The feature is similar to how QR codes are used to set up other devices, with the user scanning a code to initiate the data transfer.

Samsung is gearing up to launch the Galaxy S23 series on February 1, 2023. We recently reported on a leak unveiling the detailed spec sheet, images, and pricing of the Galaxy S23 series smartphones. Now, the pricing for the European region has also surfaced online.

According to Twitter user @BillbilKun, the vanilla Galaxy S23 will cost €959 for the 8GB + 128GB version, while the 8GB + 256GB version will cost €1019 in France. Similarly, the Galaxy S23 Plus 8GB + 256GB config will cost €1219 and the 512GB storage variant will be priced at €1339.

The flagship Galaxy S23 Ultra will have a starting price of €1419 in France for the 256GB storage variant. Other than that, the 512GB and 1TB storage variants of the device will cost €1599 and €1839, respectively. Let’s take a quick look at the specifications of these devices.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra specs

The 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display on the Galaxy S23 Ultra has a Quad HD+ resolution of 3080 x 1440 pixels, a refresh rate of 1Hz to 120Hz, a pixel density of 509 PPI, and HDR10+ support. The S23 Ultra’s screen has curved edges. It will have Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered smartphone will include 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of storage and 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The device will be powered by Android 13 OS with One UI 5.1. Its 5,000mAh battery supports 10W wireless charging and 45W rapid charging.

A 12-megapixel front-facing camera with autofocus will be available on the S23 Ultra. On the back, it will have a 200-megapixel primary camera with OIS capability. It is said to have a 200-megapixel ISOCELL HP2 camera sensor, which was just unveiled. The primary camera will be paired with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a 120-degree field of view, an OIS-enabled 10-megapixel telephoto camera, an OIS-assisted 10-megapixel periscope zoom camera with 10x optical zoom, and 100x Space Zoom. It will be able to record 8K videos at 30 frames per second.

Other features of the S23 Ultra include support for the S Pen with a dedicated storage silo, an IP68 rating, 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C connection.

Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus specs

The screen size of the Galaxy S23 is 6.1 inches, while the Galaxy S23+ has a 6.6-inch screen. Both models have a Dynamic AMOLED screen with a Full HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels, a refresh rate range of 48Hz to 120Hz, a pixel density of 393 PPI, and HDR10+ support. Both phones will also include Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection and an ultrasonic fingerprint reader underneath the display.

The Galaxy S23 and S23+ will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU. The S23 will be available with 128GB or 256GB of storage, while the Plus variant will have 256GB or 512GB of storage options. The Galaxy S23 series will ship with the Android 13 OS already installed, customized with One UI 5.1.

A 3,900mAh battery with 25W fast charging support will power the Galaxy S23, while a 4,700mAh battery with 45W fast charging support will power the Galaxy S23+. The 10W wireless charging capability of the S23 and S23+. The RAM on both devices will be 8GB LPDDR5.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series is confirmed to launch on February 1. The series will consist of three devices – the Galaxy S23, the Galaxy S23 Plus & the Galaxy S23 Ultra. These devices have been leaked extensively over the past few months. And now, new information on each of these devices has emerged online leaving nothing to the imagination.

Starting off, we have the popular tipster Snoopy Tech leaking promotional images of the entire Galaxy S23 lineup.

Separately, Twitter user @BillbilKun has leaked the detailed spec sheet of all three models in the series. You can find the details of all the models listed below.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra specs

The 6.8-inch QHD+ (3,088 x 1,440) AMOLED screen on the flagship smartphone will have a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Its refresh rate can vary from 1 Hz to 120 Hz.  A prior leak indicated that the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s peak brightness may reach 2,000 nits, however, that amount was later revised to 1,750 nits, the same as its predecessor.

There will be a wide range of memory and storage options available for the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, including 8/12 GB of RAM and 256/512/1,024 GB of storage. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 45 W wired and 10 W wireless charging will power each variation. Given that the battery capacity is the same as the previous flagship model and the wireless charging wattage has been decreased from 15 Watts, overall, this constitutes a slight downgrade. Other features of the Galaxy S23 Ultra include an under-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 6E, UWB, and NFC.

In terms of the cameras, a 12 MP (f/1.4, 120-degree FOV) ultra-wide angle lens, a 10 MP telephoto lens (f/2.4, 3x optical zoom, OIS), and a second 10 MP periscope telephoto lens (f/4.9, 10x optical zoom, OIS) will support the 200 MP ISOCELL HP2 sensor. Maximum video recording capabilities are 8K 30 FPS. Interestingly, despite the sensor’s ability to record at 120 FPS, 4K recording is limited to 60 FPS. The Galaxy S23 Ultra has a 12 MP front camera with HDR10+ capabilities.

Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus specs

The base model Galaxy S23 has a 6.1-inch FHD+ (2,340 x 1,080) AMOLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate. It supports HDR10+, has a pixel density of 425 PPI, and is covered in a layer of Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The refresh rate of the display can change dynamically between 48 Hz and 120 Hz. It will run on a 3,900 mAh battery and offer 25 W wired and 10 W wireless charging.

The Galaxy S23+ has a larger 6.6-inch screen but the same display specifications as the Galaxy S23. Additionally, it has a 4,700 mAh battery that is much superior and enables wired charging at 45 W. Other features shared by the two devices include twin Dolby Atmos speakers, IP68 water resistance, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 6E, NFC, and Wireless Powershare. Both smartphones will ship with One UI 5.1.

The cameras on the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ will be carried over from their predecessors, like many other Galaxy S phones. The system will be led by a 50 MP camera (f/1.8, 23 mm focal length, 85-degree FOV, dual-pixel PDAF, OIS). It will be aided by a 10 MP telephoto lens (f/ 3.4, 36-degree FOV, 69 mm focal length, 3x optical zoom) and a 12 MP ultra-wide angle lens (f/ 2.2, 120-degree FOV, 13 mm focal length). Its 12 MP selfie camera can record films at high to 4K 60 frames per second and photographs in HDR10+. That is increased to 8K 30 FPS by the main camera.

UWB (ultra-wideband) functionality, on the other hand, is limited to the Galaxy S23+ (and the Galaxy S23 Ultra). Both smartphones will have 8 GB of RAM, but the Galaxy S23 will have 128 GB or 256 GB of storage, while the Galaxy S23+ will have 256 GB or 512 GB. Both are available in four different colorways: black, cotton, green, and purple.

Samsung Galaxy S23, S23 Plus, S23 Ultra pricing

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series Australian prices have leaked (via), with the vanilla Galaxy S23 starting at AUS $1,350 and the Samsung Galaxy S23+ starting at $1,650. The base variant of the top-tier Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra could be priced at around $1,950.

The prices of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series are higher than those of its predecessors. The three models of the Galaxy S22 series cost AUS $1,249, $1,549, and $1,849, respectively.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 can now be pre-reserved in India. Samsung India has now started accepting preservation for the upcoming Samsung flagship. This follows the earlier announcement of the pre-reservation of the Galaxy S23 in the US.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 could come with some offers during the pre-order period. Buyers who utilize the pre-reservation window will be the first to receive the Galaxy S23. This category of buyers will also get an e-voucher worth Rs. 5,000 (~$61). Interested buyers must make a refundable deposit of Rs. 2,000 (~$25). The deposit can be refunded if the buyer is no longer interested in purchasing the smartphone. When you finally purchase the smartphone, the pre-reservation deposit will be deducted from the cost of the smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series will be launched on February 1, 2023, at a scheduled Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event in the United States. The device will be subsequently available on store shelves within two weeks. The S23 will be globally available but some markets will receive the product earlier than others.

The launch date was revealed ahead of official confirmation on the Samsung Columbia website. Other than revealing the launch date, the poster also features the signature triple camera module found on the recent Ultra variants of the Samsung flagships.

Details about the phones have previously leaked. The official high-resolution design renders of the phones were recently leaked, revealing the four color options. The Galaxy S23 will be available in four different colors: Phantom Black, Cotton Flower, Misty Lilac, and Botanic Green are some of the colors available.

The phones are also said to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The Galaxy S23 series will have a 12MP selfie camera across the board. All three phones will come pre-installed with Android 13 and a layer of One UI 5.0 on top.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra will have a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED display. It will have a 120Hz refresh rate and a QHD+ resolution. The only phone in the lineup with a curved display is this one.

The camera configuration will be shared by the Galaxy S23 Plus and Galaxy S23. On the back, they will sport a triple camera arrangement. A 50MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera with a 3x optical zoom are reportedly included in the phones.

The 6.1-inch screen on the S23 5G will have a Full HD+ resolution. A 120Hz refresh rate will be supported by the AMOLED panel. The top center of the screen will have a hole-punch cutout while remaining flat. Additionally, a 3900mAh battery and 25W wired fast charging as well as 15W wireless charging are believed to be supported by the gadget.

This has been a standard since the Galaxy S20 Ultra, which had launched back in 2020. The ability to record 8K videos with a faster frame rate will likely reduce the motion blur and choppiness that is common with 24fps video. While many people still associate 24fps with the classic “cinematic film” look, having the option for 30fps video recording provides more possibilities for Galaxy S23 users who want to create videos. This could be useful for a variety of purposes, including creative projects.

According to the source, a more useful option for the Galaxy S23 series would be 4K video recording at 120 frames per second. This was not available on the Galaxy S22 series, including the top-of-the-line Galaxy S22 Ultra. The ability to shoot 4K videos at 120fps would allow users to slow down the footage to 30 or 24fps, creating a more cinematic look with slow motion effects. So far, the Galaxy S23 series is turning out to be quite interesting as rumors state that the top-end device will feature a 200-megapixel sensor primary camera sensor, and all of the devices in the lineup will have overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipsets.

Now, ahead of the launch, the Galaxy S23 and the S23 Plus have appeared on the FCC certification database. The Galaxy S23 has the model number SM-S911B, while the S23 Plus has the model number SM-S916B. According to the listings, both phones will support 25W fast charging. The Galaxy S23 comes with a battery with the model number EB-BS912ABY and a capacity of 3785mAh. It will have a standard capacity of 3900mAh.

The EB-BS916ABY battery in the Galaxy S23 Plus has a rated capacity of 4565mAh and is expected to have a typical capacity of 4700mAh. The FCC listing also reveals that both phones will use a Qualcomm SoC, which will be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

According to leaked renders, we won’t see much change in the design of these devices compared to their predecessor, however, the fear panel is said to curve slightly to provide a better grip and in-hand feel.

Out of the three, the vanilla Galaxy S23 is expected to be the compact offering in the lineup. This device has now appeared on Geekbench, revealing some of its specs as well as its CPU performance. So, let’s take a look at the listing.

According to the listing, the Samsung Galaxy S23 will have an SM-S911U model number. This model is likely the US variant of the device. The device has a motherboard codenamed Kalama, and an SoC which features a prime core clocked at 3.36GHz, four cores clocked at 2.80GHz, and three efficiency cores clocked at 2.02GHz. The chipset also has the Adreno 740 GPU onboard, making it pretty clear that this is the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip.

Paired with the SoC is 8GB of RAM and Android 13. We can expect the 8GB RAM model to come with 128GB storage, while a 12GB RAM model will likely feature 256GB storage. In the latest development, two phone case renders for the Samsung Galaxy S23 have leaked online. It comes just days after detailed renders of the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus smartphones were leaked.

The newly leaked phone case renders of the Galaxy S23 reveal that the button placements on the device will remain unchanged compared to the previous generation model. Also, the camera bump on the smartphone appears to have been adjusted to make it a bit thinner.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 will be the cheapest of all three models in the lineup getting launched next year. Based on the leaks so far, the device is expected to feature a 6.1-inch AMOLED display, but it is said to have slightly thicker bezels.

So far, rumors surrounding the Galaxy S23 suggest that the device will debut with the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The display specs will mostly remain the same as last generation and the battery is said to see a 5 percent increase in capacity. Finer details about the specs are not available at the moment. Samsung is expected to debut its next generation of flagship devices by January or February 2023. Months ahead of the expected launch, the Galaxy S23 Ultra was spotted on the 3C certification website. Now, the other two devices in the lineup, dubbed the Galaxy S22 and S22+, have also made an appearance on the certification website.

According to the listing, the Galaxy S23 is most likely to have the model number SM-S9110, while the S23+ may have SM-S9160. It reveals that both devices offer 25W fast charging. The Galaxy S23 Ultra 3C certification also revealed the device with 25W fast charging, which is quite odd as the current Galaxy S22 Ultra features 45W fast charging support.

Other than that, the listing does not reveal any further specifications. However, a recent report mentions that the upcoming S23 and S23+ models will mostly be similar to the current-gen S22 and S22+. The only notable difference between the devices will be the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Some markets are also expected to get an Exynos 2300 clad variant of the device.

The S23 will have a 6.1-inch display, while the S23 Plus will have a 6.6-inch display, assuming that the display sizes don’t change. Most likely, both phones will have Full HD+ displays. Rumors and leaks regarding Samsung’s Galaxy S23 have started to pick up the pace. Recently, we got some information on the display of the upcoming Galaxy S23 series. Now, a noted tipster has revealed the upcoming Galaxy S23 will come with slightly thicker bezels than the Galaxy S22. The difference is minute, but it may make the device look bulkier.

Noted tipster Ice Universe claims that Samsung will be widening all four bezels for the Galaxy S23 by 0.15mm. This will not make a huge difference, but it could make the device look slightly bulkier as compared to its predecessor.

Recently, the tipster also revealed that the Galaxy S23 will have the same 6.1 display but it will be slightly longer and wider than the existing model, and the extra 0.15mm bezels explain how.

The upcoming Galaxy S23 series is said to feature no upgrades in terms of display size. However, they may feature better specs, like supporting a higher peak brightness level, lower power consumption, and more.

Just like this year, the S23 series may have three models—the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. The top-tier S23 Ultra is said to feature some serious upgrades. A recent report suggests the device will feature a 200-megapixel primary sensor on the back having a size of 1/1.3 inches and 0.6μm sized pixels and a larger aperture of f/1.7 for getting in more light.

All the models in the series are expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 SoC and will focus on battery efficiency. Samsung is yet to reveal any details about the series. The Galaxy S23 series will launch in 2023.

According to the tipster, the device won’t feature any significant changes other than the upgraded chipset which will be the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 from Qualcomm. He adds that the design, frame, display, cameras, and fingerprint sensor will remain the same as the Galaxy S22 and the S22+. Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ specifications

The Galaxy S22 sports a 6.1-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a Full-HD+ resolution. The S22+, on the other hand, has a larger 6.6-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel. Both have Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection and a 120Hz refresh rate. The phones have an Armor Aluminum frame in terms of build. The S22+ supports 1750 nits of brightness compared to the S22’s 1300 nits.

Under the hood, both devices feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Exynos 2200 SoC(depending on the region) paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The S22 has a 3,700mAh battery with 25W fast charging support, whereas, the Galaxy S22+ gets a 4,500mAh battery and has 45W fast charging support.

Coming to the camera system, both smartphones come with a 50MP Samsung GN5 primary sensor paired with a 12MP ultra-wide lens and a 10MP telephoto sensor with 30x Space Zoom and 3x optical Zoom. Upfront, both have a 10MP selfie snapper.

Samsung recently announced its latest flagship foldable smartphones in the market, dubbed Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4. Now, the company is focusing on the next generation of Galaxt=y S-series phones

It is being reported that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 series smartphones will come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, and this time, the company will be focusing on battery efficiency.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1p processor, which is currently found in the Samsung Galaxy S22 series, and its upgraded version named Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, are powerful processors, but they are also power-hungry and generate a bit of heat. So, for the next-generation chips, Qualcomm will reportedly focus on battery consumption.

Based on the information available so far, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, codenamed Kailua, carries model number SM8550 and will be manufactured by TSMC using its second-generation 4nm process.

The chipset will reportedly come with one fast Cortex-X3 core that provides a 25% performance boost over the X1 found in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 models, as well as two Cortex-A715, two Cortex-A710, and three Cortex-A510.

A few months ago, it was revealed that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 efficiency tests are going well, and the chip has performed better than its direct predecessors. The new chip is likely to be announced in November or December this year, and the Samsung Galaxy S23 series will be officially launched in early 2023.

In terms of competition, Motorola Frontier will include a 200MP camera sensor, according to sources. Motorola may be the first smartphone maker to put a 200MP camera sensor on a device, but the Korean tech giant won’t fall behind in the contest for the highest smartphone megapixel count. A recent development is that the 200MP camera sensor will also be included in the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, according to renowned Samsung leaker Ice Universe.

According to the leaker, Samsung has yet to unveil the 200MP camera sensor that will be used on the Galaxy S23 Ultra. This means that, while the Motorola Frontier and the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra will have the exact camera resolution, they may not have the same camera performance due to differing sensors. In addition to the Motorola Frontier, the Xiaomi 12T Pro is believed to have a 200MP camera configuration.

For those who don’t know, the Motorola Frontier has a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP1 sensor. The Samsung ISOCELL HP3 is a new 200MP camera sensor that the company has unveiled. The ISOCELL HP3’s camera module area is decreased by 20% thanks to its 12 percent smaller pixels.

According to reports, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU, which is anticipated to be unveiled in November, will power the Samsung Galaxy S23 series. In addition to that, the Samsung Galaxy S23 series devices could have 40MP front-facing cameras.

It would be interesting to watch how the future 200MP camera smartphones, including the Moto Edge 30 Ultra (Frontier), Xiaomi 12T, and Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, will compete with one another.
