<p>As we get closer to 2024, rumors and leaks regarding the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/samsung-galaxy-s24-series/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samsung Galaxy S24 lineup </a>of flagship smartphones have started surfacing online. Now, the latest reports hint that the Galaxy S24 series might follow Apple&#8217;s footsteps and use a new premium metal chassis.</p>

<h2>Samsung Galaxy S24 series to launch with titanium body</h2>

<p>According to known tipster <a href="https://twitter.com/Tech_Reve/status/1709906722146718034" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Revengus </a>on X (formerly Twitter), the South Korean tech giant is planning on using titanium for the Galaxy S24 series&#8217; body. In other words, the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and the Galayxy S24 Ultra model might arrive with titanium frames. For a bit of context, Apple recently unveiled the iPhone 15 series, with the higher end Pro models offering a titanium frame as well. So it appears that Samsung may also offer a similar choice for its flagship smartphone lineup.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="562" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/S24-Plus-1024x562.jpeg?x10805" alt="S24 Plus leaked render" class="wp-image-571028" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/S24-Plus-1024x562.jpeg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/S24-Plus-300x165.jpeg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/S24-Plus-768x422.jpeg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/S24-Plus-696x382.jpeg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/S24-Plus-1068x586.jpeg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/S24-Plus-765x420.jpeg 765w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/S24-Plus.jpeg 1093w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>The tipster further added that the brand could source the Titanium frames for the base model from its South Korean factory. However, Samsung might seek its partner companies to supply the titanium on the Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra models. Since these devices will feature titanium, we can also expect the upcoming premium phones to be <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/08/17/samsung-galaxy-s24-ultra-titanium-frame/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">slightly lighter than their previous iterations</a>. Apple&#8217;s move to titanium was to lower the weight of the iPhones since steel is much heavier.</p>

<p>But since the new Samsung phones won&#8217;t likely see a drastic change, the company might use the new titanium frames as a marketing term to sell their premium devices. It is also worth noting that Revegnus&#8217;s tweet gota reply from another reputed tipster <a href="https://twitter.com/UniverseIce/status/1709907180873470376" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Ice Universe</a>. The latter claims that only the Galaxy S24 Ultra will use the titanium frame. Regardless, the Galaxy S24 lineup is expected to launch in early 2024, so stick around for more updates.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samsung</a> is expected to release its next-generation flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S24 Ultra, in early 2024. The phone is rumored to have a number of improvements over its predecessor, including a titanium frame. Titanium is a denser material than aluminum, but it is also stronger and more resistant to corrosion. This means that the Galaxy S24 Ultra should be more durable than previous models.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Samsung-Galaxy-S23-Ultra.jpg?x10805" alt="" class="wp-image-559037" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Samsung-Galaxy-S23-Ultra.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Samsung-Galaxy-S23-Ultra-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Samsung-Galaxy-S23-Ultra-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Samsung-Galaxy-S23-Ultra-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Samsung-Galaxy-S23-Ultra-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>But despite the frames being made of a denser material, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is still expected to be lightweight. Tipster Ice Universe <a href="https://twitter.com/UniverseIce/status/1691982107378344018" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">claims </a>that the phone will weigh just 233g, which is even 1g lighter than the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s23-ultra/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy S23 Ultra</a>. This is impressive, as titanium is typically heavier than aluminum. If the claim is true, it suggests that Samsung has put a lot of engineering effort into making the phone lighter and more durable.</p>

<p>Likewise, S24 Ultra is rumored to have a similar design to its predecessor. And even the screen’s technical specifications could largely be the same with a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x display with QHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As for the cameras, the phone is rumored to have a quad-camera system on the back, consisting of a 200MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, a 50MP telephoto camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera.&nbsp;</p>

<p>With <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/08/16/samsung-galaxy-s24-ultra-camera-processor-battery-specs-tipped/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">S24 Ultra </a>though, Samsung might offer two processor variants:<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/07/13/samsung-exynos-2400-deca-core-cpu/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> Exynos 2400</a> and the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/08/15/qualcomm-snapdragon-8-gen-3-pricing/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Snapdragon 8 Gen 3</a>. Similarly, the phone is said to have a 5,000mAh battery and support 45W fast charging. The Galaxy S24 Ultra is still months away from being unveiled, but we can expect more details to be tricked out as we approach the launch.</p>
