Vivo X100 is another solid flagship phone that will save you a few thousand compared to the OnePlus 12. While both have a similar screen size, the OnePlus phone is slightly ahead with a higher resolution and peak brightness. However, the Vivo X100 stands out with its curved display, making it a good choice if you prefer that type of display.

4. iQOO 12

The iQOO 12 has a similar spec sheet to the Vivo X100. The smartphone features the same display—a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED with a resolution of 1260 x 2800 pixels and 3000 nits of peak brightness. Though it has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, the same chip powers the OnePlus 12.

Both iQOO 12 and OnePlus 12 ship with Android 14. However, the OnePlus 12 will get an extra Android update and an additional year of security updates.

Regarding optics, the iQOO 12 has a square(ish) camera module on the back. It brings a 50MP primary camera with OIS, a 64MP OIS-enabled periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide camera. The rear cameras can record up to 8K video. However, the 16MP selfie camera can only record up to 1080p videos.

The battery and charging specs are also similar to those of the Vivo X100 — a 5,000mAh battery and 120W wired charging support. However, the iQOO 12 doesn’t support wireless and reverse wireless charging. You can spend some extra and get the Pro model for a bigger battery, faster wired charging, and support for wireless and reverse wireless charging.

5. Google Pixel 9

The Pixel 9 is a compact flagship phone with a 6.3-inch screen and a peak resolution of 2700 nits. It has Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection on both sides and features an IP68 rating, which is better than the OnePlus 12.

One of the key advantages of the Pixel 9 is its software. Now, the specification sheet of the entire Galaxy S24 series has been leaked courtesy of reputed tipster Evan Blass aka evleaks. 

Samsung Galaxy S24 lineup spec sheet leaked 

The Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series is already expected to comprise the Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, and S24 Ultra. The South Korean brand is calling these phones as everyday epic, an epic plus-up, and the most epic galaxy respectively. 

As per the leaked spec sheet, the Samsung Galaxy S24 will have a 6.2-inch FHD+ display whereas the S24 Plus is said to feature a 6.7-inch QHD+ screen. The S24 Ultra will have the largest 6.8-inch display bearing a QHD+ resolution. All three phones will boast of a Dynamic AMOLED 2x panel with 2,600 nits peak brightness. They will also be IP68-certified against dust and water. The Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus will sport an armour aluminium 2.0 whereas the S24 Ultra will be equipped with a titanium build.

The device will reportedly be available in four colors: purple, gray, yellow, and black. This is in contrast to the previously reported platinum and green colors.

Renowned tipster @IceUniverse stated that the Galaxy S24 boasts a 6.16-inch screen, weighs 168g, and measures 70.6mm x 147mm x 7.6mm. Notably, it incorporates a 1.52mm chin design with equal width on all four sides. For context, the Xiaomi 14, launched in late October this year, offers a slightly bigger 6.36-inch screen, weighs around 188g, and boasts a 1.71mm chin.

The base Galaxy S24 has already emerged on FCC certification platform. There have been reports that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will ship with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip all over the world, while Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus could bring Samsung’s in-house Exynos 2400 chip. Notably, the Exynos 2400 this time reportedly outperforms the A17 Pro. However, it will also be important to check if it finally outperforms the A14 in power efficiency.

Moving to other aspects, the standard model is expected to feature a rear camera setup comprising 50MP + 12MP + 10MP lenses, an FHD display (1080P), a 4000mAh battery, and 25W charging support, as confirmed by the 3C certification platform form China. In contrast, the S24+ will offer a higher-resolution QHD display, a 4900mAh battery, and 45W charging support.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Series is set to be unveiled early next year with some top-notch specifications and hardware. It is a highly anticipated feature of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC in some regions and the Exynos 2400 in the remaining parts. The smartphone is already the talk of the town, thanks to multiple leaks and rumors. In addition, details about its storage and color variants have surfaced from a leak via @Tech_Reve.

As per the leak, the Samsung Galaxy S24 will debut in 8GB RAM + 128GB and 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variants. It will be available in four different color options: Gray, Black, Violet, and Yellow. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S24+ will start with 12GB of RAM+256GB and an additional 12GB+512GB storage variant. It is also available in the same color options.

The biggest, the Galaxy S24 Ultra, will debut in 12+256GB, 12+512GB, and 12GB+1TB storage options. The color option will remain the same throughout the Galaxy S334 series. However, we expect some additional colors for Online Retail via Samsung.com.

Previous leaks about the Galaxy S24 Ultra suggest the presence of a 200MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor, a 50MP 5x telephoto camera, and another 10MP 10x telephoto lens. However, the same leaker, @Tech_Reve, confronted and suggested the presence of a 50MP periscope telephoto lens instead of the 10MP telephoto lens.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 is expected to launch on January 17, 2024. The new series will bundle plenty of AI features based on the recently announced Samsung Gauss AI software. There will be generative wallpaper, text creation, and real-time translation.

As per a Hankyung report, the Galaxy S24 will go on sale for $799, the Galaxy S24+ will retail at $999 and the Galaxy S24 Ultra will be available for $1,119. The smartphone is reportedly coming with 2600 nits peak brightness, satellite connectivity, and much more.

Leaks and rumors about the Galaxy S24 series having satellite connectivity have been swirling for some time. Looks like now we have a clearer picture. A recent leak, discovered by SamMobile, confirms this feature will indeed be present in the upcoming flagship phones.

Galaxy S24 leak confirms satellite connectivity

The leak includes a screenshot, presumably from a Galaxy S24 model, showing a feature called “Emergency texts via satellite” alongside its function. According to Samsung, “If you call emergency services when you’re out of range or not connected to a mobile network, we will connect you via a satellite network so you can send an emergency text.”

Once connected, you should be able to send text messages with precise GPS location. This is precisely how satellite connectivity works in other phones like iPhones. The feature is expected to be available across the entire Galaxy S24 lineup, regardless of the processor (Exynos or Snapdragon) powering each model.

Earlier this year, Samsung also unveiled a 5G modem technology that allows direct communication between phones and satellites. This means calls, texts, and data can flow even when cell towers are nowhere to be found.

While Samsung may introduce satellite connectivity with the S24, it might not be available everywhere initially. Similar to iPhones, it could be limited to specific countries at first, with expansion plans later. Currently, the satellite connectivity feature for iPhones is only available in 17 countries. 

Beyond satellite talk, the Galaxy S24 series leaks also hint at an AI push. Leak suggests the top-of-the-line S24 Ultra might be marketed as the “Generative AI phone” and Samsung has even filed trademarks for “AI Phone” and “AI Smartphone.”

Samsung‘s highly anticipated Galaxy S24 series is likely to be unveiled in mid-January 2024. However, thanks to leaked official renders, we don’t have to wait until then to get a glimpse of these upcoming devices.

The renders, published by Windows Report, showcase the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra in all their glory. They also provide insights into the full specifications of these smartphones. 

Galaxy S24 Ultra Renders and Specifications

As expected, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will be the top-of-the-line model in the upcoming lineup. The phone will feature a squarish frame with almost flat sides and a flat screen. It will come in four colors: Titanium Black, Titanium Gray, Titanium Violet, and Titanium Yellow.

The S24 Ultra will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and will come with 12GB of RAM. Storage options will include 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB.

To address overheating concerns, Samsung has reportedly incorporated significantly larger vapor chamber heat dissipation systems into the Galaxy S24 series. The Galaxy S24 Ultra gets the biggest improvement with a 1.9x larger vapor chamber cooling system than the one in the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

Likewise, the phone continues to sport four cameras on the rear: a 200MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultrawide lens, a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom.

The Galaxy S24 Ultra will also feature a range of AI and Generative AI features, thanks to the latest advancements in this field. It will also upgrade to Wi-Fi 7. All three models will offer 5G connectivity, Bluetooth 5.3, and a USB Type-C port.

Battery-wise, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will retain the same 5,000mAh battery capacity as its predecessor, along with 45W fast charging.

Key details include its powerful processor, featuring an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, and a substantial 12GB of RAM, ensuring smooth performance. The model number for the Korean variant is SM-S928N.

Running on Android 14 with Samsung‘s One UI 6.0 skin, the Korean Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to be packed with some new and exclusive features. In benchmark tests, it demonstrated its prowess, achieving 2214 and 6744 points in single-core and multi-core tests.

On to the Galaxy S24 Korean variant, is powered by the deca-core Exynos 2400 SoC and 8GB of RAM. In the Geekbench 6 test, it delivers 2051 and 6204 points in the single-core and multi-core test results.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 series specifications include varying fast charging capacities: the S24+ and S24 Ultra support up to 45W fast charging, as per the 3C certification, while the standard S24 model provides 25W fast charging. The S24 series is set to introduce AI features, potentially developed by Samsung.

The vanilla S24 is said to feature a 6.1-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Samsung is reportedly working on a custom version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC for its upcoming Galaxy S24 series. This custom chip, likely to be called the “Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC for Galaxy,” is expected to feature an overclocked GPU, according to a reliable tipster.

Words come from Ice Universe who shared on X (formerly Twitter) that the 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy will have a clock speed of 1GHz or 1,000MHz. This would represent a 28% increase in clock speed over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for the Galaxy SoC used in the Galaxy S23 series.

In addition to the overclocked GPU, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC for Galaxy is also rumored to have an improved CPU clock speed. 

In fact, rhe latest Geekbench result shows the prime core on the Galaxy S24 Ultra running at a top speed of 3.4 GHz, which is higher than the regular Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. However, the other Cortex-A720 and Cortex-A520 cores run at the same clock speeds.

It is unclear how much of a performance improvement the overclocked GPU and CPU will provide in real-life. The Galaxy S24 series is expected to be released in January 2024, so we will learn more about the devices and their custom Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC in the coming months.

Samsung is rеportеdly planning to offer satellite communication support on its Galaxy S24 series smartphonеs next year. This is according to Samsung’s Prеsidеnt of Systеm LSI Park Yong-in who spokе at thе rеcеnt 2023 Sеmiconductor Expo (SEDEX) еvеnt.

Thе еxеcutivе did not еxplicitly mеntion thе Galaxy S24 sеriеs, but hе did say that Samsung has alrеady madе tеchnical prеparations to еnablе communication using satеllitеs. This is a strong hint that thе Galaxy S24 sеriеs will be thе first Samsung smartphonеs to support satеllitе communication.

The addition of satеllitе communication support would bе a significant upgradе for thе Galaxy S24 sеriеs. It would allow usеrs to stay connеctеd еvеn in arеas with poor cеllular sеrvicе or in thе еvеnt of an еmеrgеncy. 

Samsung is not the first company to add satеllitе communication support to its smartphonеs, as Applе introduced thе fеaturе on thе iPhonе 14 sеriеs last year.

Additionally, Samsung is also planning to incrеasе thе graphics pеrformancе of its smartphonеs by improving ray tracing. Ray tracing is a fеaturе that gеnеratеs light rеflеctions to add rеalism to gamеs. Samsung first introduced ray tracing on the Galaxy S22 with the Exynos 2200.

Samsung is set to launch the Galaxy S24 series early next year. The lineup will comprise the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and the top end Galaxy S24 Ultra. Now, a new leak has revealed key core specifications of the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ models. So here are all the details.

Samsung Galaxy S24 & S24+ powered by a new and improved Exynos 2400

The South Korean tech giant is planning on equipping the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ with a new Exynos 2400 SoC. For those unaware, Samsung is rumored to launch the Galaxy S24 Ultra with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC in every region. The 2024 Exynos chipset will feature a deca core configuration. This means that it houses 10 cores.

The chipset will have a 1+3+2+4 structure, which consists of one Cortex X4 Prime CPU core that clocks in at 3.19GHz. It is paired with five Cortex A720 performance cores with two cores having a 2.9GHz frequency while the other three have a 2.6GHz clock speed. Lastly, there are four Cortex A520 efficiency cores that clock in at 1.95GHz. The chipset will reportedly also feature the Samsung XClipse 940 and the Exynos 5300, which is an integrated modem that enables a downlink speed of up to 10GBps.

Samsung Exynos 2500

All of this is in line with our previous reports regarding the new Exynos 2400. Tipster @OreXda also shared additional information on X (formerly Twitter) regarding the 2025 Exynos. Apparently, Samsung plans on using a similar deca core configuration on the Exynos 2500 as well. Although, the next gen chip will feature a Cortex X5 Prime CPU core, along with two Cortex A730 performance cores, three Cortex A730 cores with slower clock speeds, and four Cortex A530 efficiency cores.

Samsung has officially announced the Exynos 2400 SoC, and it is likely that this chip will be used in the upcoming Galaxy S24 series. However, since the Exynos name has a mixed reputation, some users may be hesitant to see it return to the Galaxy S24 series, especially after Samsung’s decision to use Snapdragon chips globally in the Galaxy S23 series. A new report sheds light on the use of Exynos and Snapdragon chips in the S24 series.

According to a report by Korean outlet The Elec, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will use a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset exclusively—no matter the region or market it’s sold in. 

On the other hand, the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ will use either the Exynos 2400 or the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, depending on the region. It is likely that the Exynos 2400 versions of the Galaxy S24 and S24+ will be launched in Africa, Asia (including South Korea), Europe, and Latin America, while the Snapdragon-equipped versions will be launched in North America (Canada and the US). 

This is similar to the approach Samsung took with the Galaxy S22 series. Samsung is reportedly in the final stages of deciding how to distribute the different variants of the Galaxy S24 series phones. So it is unlikely that the company will change its strategy now. 

Exynos 2400

The new Exynos chip features a 70% faster CPU and 14.7x faster AI processing than the previous generation Exynos. It also features the Xclipse 940 GPU, which is based on AMD’s latest RDNA3 architecture. Samsung has not unveiled its stats for GPU performance, but it claims that the chip offers substantially improved ray tracing performance in games.

However, based on past trends, the Exynos 2400’s GPU performance is unlikely to be as good as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3’s. The Exynos 2400 chip is reportedly fabricated on Samsung Foundry’s 4nm LPP+ node and has a 10-core CPU. 

Meanwhile, the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip is expected to use TSMC’s latest node, but some reports claim that there may be versions on both the 3nm and 4nm process. We will learn more about the process when Qualcomm unveils it at its Snapdragon Summit this month.

The Galaxy S24 series is still months away, but leaks and rumors are already swirling. In a fresh leak, tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer a.k.a “OnLeaks” and SmartPrix have released renders and a 360-degree video of the base Samsung Galaxy S24, giving us a good look at what to expect from the upcoming flagship phone.

The renders show a phone that looks similar to the Galaxy S23, with the same rear camera cutouts and flat panel with a centered punch-hole cutout. However, the S24 may have completely flat and polished edges, unlike the slightly rounded edges on the S23. The changes are subtle, but they could make a noticeable difference in the hand.

Besides this, the video also reveals a light blue color option for the Galaxy S24 and a UWB (ultra-wideband) antenna strip below the power button. UWB is already present on the Galaxy S23+ and S23 Ultra, but this is the first time it will be available on the base Galaxy flagship model. So, its inclusion on the Galaxy S24 would be a welcome quality-of-life upgrade.

According to sources, the Galaxy S24 will measure 147 x 70.5 x 7.6 mm, making it slightly taller and narrower than the Galaxy S23. The thickness remains the same. Other features revealed in the renders include a USB Type-C port, a SIM card slot, a microphone, and a loudspeaker on the bottom.

As for the rumored specifications, the phone is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 / Exynos 2400 chip, with an LTPO 120Hz OLED screen with up to 2,500 nits peak brightness. It will have a 12MP selfie camera, a 50MP primary rear camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Memory options may include up to 12GB RAM and 256GB/512GB storage. 

The Galaxy S24 series is expected to launch in January or February 2024, so we’re sure to see more leaks and rumors drop between now and then.

A new leak, courtesy of tipster Ice Universe, reveals a major design change that will come to the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus phones.

Samsung Galaxy S24, S24+ to feature iPhone-like flat edges

The Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus are equipped with a flat back and a slightly protruding middle frame. The new leak suggests that the South Korean tech giant will ditch this design on the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus. In recent times, many smartphone manufacturers have adopted the flat-edge design seen on iPhones. The Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus are also expected to sport flattened edges, according to the tipster.

The leak does not say anything about the Galaxy S24 Ultra, which indicates that its frame design will diverge from that of the S24 and S24+. Hence, akin to the approach taken with the Galaxy S23 Ultra and S22 Ultra, it is possible that the S24 Ultra model might adopt an edge panel design to establish its uniqueness in terms of design attributes when compared to the S24 and S24+.

Rumors surrounding the Galaxy S24 series say that it will be available in Exynos 2400 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset variants in different markets. The entire series is also said to feature the latest M13 OLED panel for better visuals and arrive with support for two-way satellite communication.

It’s almost certain that Exynos chips are making a comeback. For months, we’ve been hearing rumors about a deca-core Exynos 2400 processor that’s rumored to power some Galaxy S24 models next year. The Galaxy S23 FE model, which should launch later this year, is also said to pack an Exynos-branded processor. Now, a new reliable report is here to confirm these long-standing rumors.

Exynos’ return seems inevitable

Pocket-lint reports that Samsung is siding with its own Exynos processors for the upcoming Galaxy S23 FE, which is said to be debuting later this year. While the report didn’t mention the exact processor, Geekbench recently listed the device with the older Exynos 2200. However, the S23 FE units shipping to the US may pack a Qualcomm processor, possibly the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.

The report, citing sources, also claims that Samsung will revert back to Exynos chips for the flagship S24 series, launching next year. The current Galaxy S23 models are all powered by an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy processor. Pocket-lint says Exynos Galaxy S24 could remain limited to Europe and the US region might still get the Snapdragon variants.

We understand Samsung fans might be having mixed emotions about this news. However, they might be relieved to know the Exynos 2400 chip, said to power the Galaxy S24, is shaping up to be an impressive contender to Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The GPU on this chip reportedly has four times the number of compute units of the Xclipse 920 of Exynos 2200. The CPU benchmark scores (multi-core) are reported to be 20% more than that of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

We are still months away from the Samsung Galaxy S24 series launch. The South Korean brand traditionally unveils its flagship S-series lineup in February every year. The next-generation Galaxy S24 series has already appeared in leaks and rumors in the past. Back in April, we had reported that the upcoming Samsung flagships will feature improved batteries thanks to the EV inspired tech. Now, the charging speeds of the Galaxy S24 series has been tipped by RGcloudS.

Samsung Galaxy S24 series may get a charging speed boost

The current generation Samsung Galaxy S23+ and S23 Ultra support 45W charging speed whereas the standard S23 is limited to 25W. The South Korean brand has not moved the charging speed by even a little above that. In fact, the support for 45W speed was first introduced in 2019 on the Galaxy Note 10+. 

As per a previous report, Samsung will adopt the stacked battery charging technology on the Galaxy S24 series that is found in electric vehicles. In simple terms, it is a method of improving the overall battery capacities without changing its physical size. This feature will reportedly be limited to the S24+ and S24 Ultra. Both phones are expected to be backed by a 5,000mAh cell. The stacked battery tech will also offer support for faster charging speed potentially maxing out at 65W. This is a 20W gain over the current 45W speed on the Galaxy S23+ and Ultra variants. The S24 Ultra is also tipped to come with a cooling gel for heat dissipation. 

Unfortunately, the Samsung Galaxy S23 will miss out the charging speed upgrade. This is because the company is yet to start running tests on the stacked battery technology and there may not be sufficient production capacity. 

The tipster also reveals the Apple’s upcoming iPhone 15 lineup will use stacked battery tech.

Samsung fans were happy that the company finally ditched the controversial Exynos chipsets and sided with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC for all Galaxy S23 models. However, their happiness was short-lived, as rumors began circulating that Samsung was developing a new chipset, the Exynos 2400, which would likely power next year’s flagship lineup. In the latest development, a tipster has revealed the regions where the Exynos Galaxy S24 will be available.

Exynos 2400 Could be the SoC Powering some Galaxy S24 models

Samsung has a history of using both Exynos and Qualcomm chips in its S series models, but until now it was unclear which regions would receive the Exynos-powered Galaxy S24. That has changed with the latest tip from @Tech_Reve, who claims that Samsung may offer the Galaxy S24 with the Exynos 2400 processor in European and Southeast Asian countries. Whereas consumers in America will get the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-equipped models.

Qualcomm chips usually offer better performance and efficiency than the Exynos ones, so this news will likely cause mixed emotions among readers. But from what we’ve heard so far, the Exynos 2400 is going to be a promising processor with a 10 cores architecture. It is expected to include one Cortex-X4 clocked at 3.1 GHz, two Cortex-A720 cores at 2.9 GHz, three Cortex-A720 cores running at 2.6 GHz, and four Cortex-A520 cores operating at 1.8 GHz.

It appears highly likely that Samsung will once again utilize Exynos chipsets in the upcoming Galaxy S24. This speculation gained strength following comments made by Hyeokman Kwon, Vice President of the DS Division at Samsung LSI, during the company’s Q1 2023 earnings call. Kwon revealed Samsung’s intention to reintroduce its proprietary Exynos chipset to its flagship smartphones, particularly the Galaxy S series.

Samsung is apparently working on a new and improved battery technology which will power its next generation of flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S24 series. But interestingly enough, these upgrades are thanks to technology inspired by electric vehicle technologies.

EVs inspire next gen battery tech for Samsung Galaxy S24 series

Based on a new report, the South Korean tech giant is seeking to improved the battery on the Galaxy S24 lineup by turning to technology from the EV industry. The company has reportedly partnered up with two Chinese firms to jointly develop the new battery technology. Samsung will be employing the stacking technology for batteries that is found in electric vehicles. To put things simply, it is a method on improving batteries’ overall capacity without the physical size changing.

The Samsung SDI is working on this new battery technology, which is the research and development unit of the brand. This R&D department is looking to improve the energy capacity on next gen batteries while aiming to retain the existing size. For this, it is working with the two Chinese firms that are deriving tech from Gen 5 batteries that are made for electric vehicles. In other words, they are miniaturizing the battery technology that can then be used in smartphones and tablets.

Notably, this new battery technology can help achieve around 10 percent of capacity rise while maintaining a similar overall size to its predecessor. The new joint venture will use the company’s advanced facility at its Cheonan, South Korea site. So we can expect the Galaxy S24 to arrive with slightly longer lasting battery packs. The two Chinese firms are setting up offices in the country as well, with Shenzhen Yinghe Tech supplying the stacking equipment.

Competition in the flagship smartphone market continues at full speed. While there are many models of many different brands on the market, the US technology giant Apple leads the race ahead of its competitors. The main reason for this is that the company offers a better experience with its own software and hardware. Samsung, which has been carrying out a similar study for a while, seems to have finally achieved the success it wanted in hardware. The processor that the company will use in the Galaxy S24 series, which will be released next year, may have emerged. Here are the details…

South Korean Galaxy S24 variants will supposedly feature a ten-core Exynos 2400 SoC

Samsung MX has reportedly greenlit its upcoming Exynos 2400 CPU, with mass production set to begin later this year on Samsung’s 4LPP node. According to South Korean tipster Vampire King, the Exynos 2400 (codenamed Root) will feature a quad-cluster design with a total of ten cores, and will be used in South Korean variants of next year’s Galaxy S24.

The Exynos 2400 is said to follow the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2‘s quad-cluster design, with a prime Cortex-X4 core, two clusters of Cortex-A720 cores, and four Cortex-A510 cores. However, there is conflicting information about the exact number of Cortex-A720 cores and the total number of CPU cores. One report states it will feature eight CPU cores (1+4+3) while another claims it will have ten cores (1+2+3+4).

It is important to note that the Exynos 2400 is not the Galaxy-exclusive chip developed by Samsung’s “Dream Team.” That SKU is supposedly earmarked for the Galaxy S24 and is expected to enter mass production in 2024, presumably as an answer to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4’s Nuvia cores.

It is worth mentioning that Samsung has been using Snapdragon processors in its flagship devices in recent years, but with the Galaxy S24 variant in South Korea will be powered by the Exynos 2400, it seems that Samsung is looking to change that trend. However, it is important to note that Samsung has not yet confirmed these reports, and as such, all of this should be taken with a grain of salt.
