Alldocube is trying to elicit interests in its upcoming tablet, the Alldocube X by all means possible. The company has released several promotional materials ahead of the official release of the tablet. Just recently, we were shown a video of the device’s behind-the-scenes production process. Alldocube has now released another video which shows the device is in mass production and may soon be released into the market.

The video takes us through a tour of the production factory, showing several units of the Alldocube X that are being assembled by humans. The tablet stands out as a result of its striking resemblance to the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4. It packs a 2.5K AMOLED display which is outstanding for an affordable tablet. Alldocube X is also positioning to be the best affordable media tablet on the market with other entertainment features like AKG HiFi sound chip for quality sound output. There is also a 4K video playback and HDR support to embrace the absolutely stunning feast to the eyes. Most importantly, it is fired by a mammoth 8,000mAh battery to make sure that there is all-day long juice to power your entertainment.

In terms of design, the tablet features an ultra-slim design with 6.9mm industry-leading thinness. It weighs just 500g despite the big battery and this makes it feel comfortable when held. Just as we recently reported, Samsung has today launched its 2-in-1 Galaxy Tab S4 in India. The premium tablet, which is the successor to last year’s Galaxy Tab S3, was originally launched ahead of the Galaxy Note9, in August this year.

In India, the device comes in two color options — Black and Grey. It is priced at Rs. 57,900 which roughly converts to $786, and is now available for purchase through Samsung Online Shop and offline retail stores, and will be up for sale on Amazon from October 20.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 features a 10.5-inch S-AMOLED display, offering a Quad HD screen resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and 16:10 aspect ratio. For an immersive audio experience, the tablet comes equipped with AKG-tuned quad speakers along with Dolby Atmos support.

Under the hood, Qualcomm‘s last year’s Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor is powering the device, along with 4GB of RAM. It comes in two storage options — 64GB and 256GB and also features a microSD card slot, enabling storage expansion.

With Samsung DeX, users can connect the tablet to a larger display via an HDMI to USB-C multi-port adapter to take advantage of full-fledged PC experience. The tablet allows users to take write notes even the screen is turned off through the Screen-Off Memo feature. For photography, the Tab S4 is equipped with autofocus enabled 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing shooter.

For security, the tablet is equipped with support for iris scanner and facial recognition through Intelligent Scan feature. Connectivity options on the device include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, and 3.5mm audio jack.

The Book Cover keyboard optional accessory can be attached to the tablet using the provided pogo pins and magnets on the tablet. It comes pre-installed with Android 8.1 Oreo, and receives power from a 7,300mAh battery that is enabled with support for 15W fast charging.

The emergence of phablet-size smartphones with sizes extending up to 6.99 inches led to the steady decline in sales of tablets and that decline continues to persist in Q2 2018. A research report by IDC for Q2 2018 reveals that the global tablet market declined 13.5%. Notwithstanding, Apple still maintained its leadership of this segment with 34.9% market share, followed by Samsung with 15.1%.

The report expatiated further that Apple shipped a total of 11.5 million tablets in Q2 of 2018 representing a 0.9% growth year-over-year while Samsung shipped just 5 million units. Chinese market leader Huawei came in at the third position with 3.4 million tablet shipments representing a 10.3% market share. It is interesting to note that Huawei has been on the resurgence on all fronts as it had an impressive 7.7% growth YOY. Completing the top 4 is Lenovo with an estimated 2 million tablets shipment and 6% market share.

The total tablets shipments globally were estimated at 33 million which is lower than the 38.3 million shipments IDC reported the shipments was for last year. Out of this total shipment, slate tablets accounted for the majority of the market with 28.4 million units which is 14.5% lower than the previous year’s figure. On the other hand, detachable tablets accounted for the remaining numbers. The market is mainly driven by premium products from Microsoft and Apple and growth has slowed in recent months. That could change soon with the imminent launch of the Microsoft Surface Go, Chrome OS-based detachables, and perhaps a more affordable iPad Pro in the future. The Galaxy Tab S4 released last week also has the potentials to boost the detachable tablet market. Huawei’s detachable tablets also grew by over 200% in Q2 2018. In all, the market could perform better in the third quarter of 2018 as a result of new tablet releases like Xiaomi’s Mi Pad 4, Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 and several others. But manufacturers don’t seem to be too keen on the tablet market.

Samsung is currently preparing to launch a new tablet — Samsung Galaxy Tab S4. The device, which has already appeared on GFXBench and WiFi Alliance, has now been certified by EEC in Russia. Along with this Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 (SM-T835), another device from the South Korea-based company with model number SM-T595 has been certified, but no details are available regarding that device.

Based on the previous reports, the Galaxy Tab S4 is expected to come with a 10.5-inch display having a screen resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. This suggests that the device’s display will have a 16:10 aspect ratio.

Under the hood, the tablet will be powered by Qualcomm‘s Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor along with Adreno 540 graphics processor and 4GB of RAM. It’ll pack 64GB of internal storage and will come with a microSD card slot that will allow users to further expand the storage capacity up to 256GB.

On the back side, there’ll be a 12-Megapixel single camera sensor and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for taking selfies and video calling. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 is expecting to be running Android Oreo operating system out of the box, with the company’s own custom user interface on top. The tablet will be powered by a 6,000mAh non-removable battery.

Samsung had launched the Galaxy Tab S3 tablet at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February last year. The company did not launch the Galaxy Tab S3’s successor at MWC this year, maybe because of the decline in the tablet industry.

However, the Galaxy Tab S4 could get launched in the coming weeks, or the company may use the IFA 2018 tech trade show platform that is scheduled to take place in September at Berlin, Germany. While the pricing is also not known, reports indicate that the device might come at a price of around $599-$649.
