The new smartwatches are yet to be shipped and ahead of it, Samsung seems to have already pushed a firmware update for these watches.</p>
<p>According to the update log, the firmware version is R8xxXXU1BUH5 and it has a size of 290.52MB. The update will enhance the watch&#8217;s stability. It includes bug fixes, enhancements to current functions, and an overall improvement in performance.</p>

<p>Given that the software upgrade rolled out immediately after the launch, it appears that Samsung is committed to the support of the new smartwatches.</p>
<p>The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 comes in two dials &#8211; 40mm and 44mm. On the other hand, the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic has bigger sizes &#8211; 42mm and 46mm. The Watch 4 has a 1.19-inch AMOLED display and runs on OneUI Watch 3(based on WearOS 3). It has a display resolution of 396 x 396 pixels. The Watch 4 Classic sports a 1.36-inch panel with 450 x 450 pixels and run on the same OneUI Watch 3 UI.</p>

<p>The series is powered by the in-house 5nm Exynos W920 SoC paired with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. The smartwatches come with a Bioactive sensor which has multiple monitoring modes like blood oxygen saturation, electrocardiogram, heart rate monitor, electric heart rate sensor, and bioelectrical impedance analysis sensor. The duo can work for up to 40 hours on a single charge.</p>

The Galaxy Watch 4 features a circular minimalist design while the Watch 4 Classic comes with a circular rotating bezel, a unique design feature of the original Galaxy Watch.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Galaxy-Watch-4-3.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-405569" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Galaxy-Watch-4-3.jpg?x44794" alt="Samsung Galaxy Watch 4" width="1000" height="705" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Galaxy-Watch-4-3.jpg 1000w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Galaxy-Watch-4-3-300x212.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Galaxy-Watch-4-3-768x541.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Galaxy-Watch-4-3-100x70.jpg 100w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Galaxy-Watch-4-3-696x491.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Galaxy-Watch-4-3-596x420.jpg 596w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></a></p>
<p>The two smartwatch models come with a circular Super AMOLED display and a metal casing. While the Galaxy Watch 4 is available in 40mm and 44mm variants, the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic arrives in 42mm and 46mm variants. The Watch 4 sports a 1.19-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 396 x 396 pixels while the Watch 4 Classic packs a 1.36-inch display with 450 x 450 pixels resolution.</p>
<p>The models are both powered by Samsung’s latest Exynos W920 processor that is built using a 5nm process. Compared to the previous model, the CPU performance has been improved by 20% and RAM by 50%, so it runs smoother even when scrolling the screen or using multiple apps at the same time. The GPU performance has also been improved by more than 10 times, so the screen transitions smoothly like water. The processor is paired with 1.5GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage on all models.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Galaxy-Watch-4-2.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-405568" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Galaxy-Watch-4-2.jpg?x44794" alt="Samsung Galaxy Watch 4" width="1000" height="705" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Galaxy-Watch-4-2.jpg 1000w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Galaxy-Watch-4-2-300x212.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Galaxy-Watch-4-2-768x541.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Galaxy-Watch-4-2-100x70.jpg 100w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Galaxy-Watch-4-2-696x491.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Galaxy-Watch-4-2-596x420.jpg 596w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></a></p>
<h4><strong>One UI Watch 3 Based on Wear OS 3</strong></h4>
<p>The Galaxy Watch 4 series brings a completely new smartwatch experience as they run on One UI Watch 3 based on Android Wear OS 3. The interface provides a more consistent experience with the Galaxy ecosystem, including smartphones. When a user newly installs an app compatible with the Galaxy Watch 4 on the smartphone, it is automatically downloaded to the Galaxy Watch 4. Also, changes to the settings of the linked app are immediately reflected in other devices. For example, if you change the setting of the world clock that displays the time in various regions around the world on your smartphone, it will also be applied to the Galaxy Watch.</p>
<p>Further, the smartwatches support Auto Switch. Thus, if you connect the Galaxy Buds to your smartphone, when you play music on the Watch 4, the earbuds connection automatically switches to the watch. You can also check the status of the Galaxy Buds and change settings on the smartwatch.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Galaxy-Watch-4-4.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-405570" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Galaxy-Watch-4-4.jpg?x44794" alt="Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic" width="1000" height="746" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Galaxy-Watch-4-4.jpg 1000w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Galaxy-Watch-4-4-300x224.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Galaxy-Watch-4-4-768x573.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Galaxy-Watch-4-4-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Galaxy-Watch-4-4-265x198.jpg 265w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Galaxy-Watch-4-4-696x519.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Galaxy-Watch-4-4-563x420.jpg 563w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></a></p>
<p>Smartphone functions can also be controlled through Bixby voice commands, rotating bezels, or gestures. For example, it is possible to answer a call by moving the arm wearing the Galaxy Watch 4 up and down twice, or to reject a call by turning the wrist twice.</p>
<p>The Galaxy Watch 4 is equipped with a new wearable integrated platform to provide a richer wearable app ecosystem. You can use several Google apps such as Google Maps and Galaxy apps such as SmartThings and Bixby.
