<p>In a significant step towards building a smarter wearable ecosystem, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung">Samsung</a> is preparing to integrate Google’s Gemini AI into its Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Buds 3 lineup. The announcement highlights Samsung’s aim to unify AI features across its devices, offering more intelligent and context-aware experiences.</p>

<h3><strong>Hands-free help now comes to your wrist</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="683" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/With-Gemini-Galaxy-Watch-users-can-stay-productive-without-breaking-stride-1-1024x683.jpg?x44794" alt="With Gemini Galaxy Watch users can stay productive without breaking stride (1)" class="wp-image-686485" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/With-Gemini-Galaxy-Watch-users-can-stay-productive-without-breaking-stride-1-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/With-Gemini-Galaxy-Watch-users-can-stay-productive-without-breaking-stride-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/With-Gemini-Galaxy-Watch-users-can-stay-productive-without-breaking-stride-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/With-Gemini-Galaxy-Watch-users-can-stay-productive-without-breaking-stride-1-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/With-Gemini-Galaxy-Watch-users-can-stay-productive-without-breaking-stride-1-1068x712.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/With-Gemini-Galaxy-Watch-users-can-stay-productive-without-breaking-stride-1-630x420.jpg 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/With-Gemini-Galaxy-Watch-users-can-stay-productive-without-breaking-stride-1.jpg 1440w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>With Gemini, the Galaxy Watch users can stay productive without breaking stride</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The Gemini update will bring natural voice command support to Galaxy Watches, helping users stay productive while on the go. For instance, while at the gym, you can tell Gemini to remember a locker number or ask it to summarize an email even when your hands are busy.</p>

<p>The assistant is designed to work across apps, delivering quick, relevant responses directly on your watch. This hands-free approach could make routine tasks like note-taking or reading emails faster and more convenient without breaking your rhythm. Samsung is yet to declare the exact Galaxy Watch models that will be treated with the Gemini AI upgrade.</p>

<p>The experience becomes even more streamlined when the Galaxy Watch is paired with the Buds 3. A simple voice prompt or a pinch-and-hold gesture on the earbuds is enough to activate Gemini, which can then interact with your smartphone.</p>

<p>This proves helpful for situations like checking the weather before a run or responding to messages without reaching for your phone. The combination of AI and gesture support points to a future where wearables can handle more of your daily tasks intuitively, making the Galaxy ecosystem more connected and intelligent.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/apple-watch-series-10/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Apple Watch Series 10</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-watch-7/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 </a>are two standout smartwatches catering to different user needs. Apple’s offering emphasizes premium design, deep ecosystem integration, and cutting-edge health features, making it ideal for iPhone users seeking top-tier functionality. On the other hand, Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 7 balances affordability, durability, and excellent battery life, appealing to Android users and those looking for versatility. This comparison helps you decide which smartwatch aligns best with your lifestyle and preferences.</p>

<h3><strong>Design, Build, and Display</strong></h3>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="349" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/image-81-1024x349.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-664331" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/image-81-1024x349.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/image-81-300x102.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/image-81-768x262.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/image-81-1536x524.png 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/image-81-696x237.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/image-81-1068x364.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/image-81-1231x420.png 1231w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/image-81.png 1688w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Apple Watch Series</figcaption></figure>

<p>The Apple Watch Series 10 shines with a titanium frame, a sapphire crystal back, and a 1.96-inch Retina LTPO3 OLED display. Its 2000-nit peak brightness ensures excellent outdoor visibility, and its IP6X certification, 50m water resistance, and depth gauge add utility for adventurers. Its premium build suits both casual and professional settings.</p>

<p>The Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 features a durable aluminum frame with improved drop and scratch resistance. Its smaller 1.5-inch Super AMOLED display, also protected by sapphire crystal, offers vibrant visuals but is less immersive. It&#8217;s a rugged choice for outdoor enthusiasts with IP68, 5ATM water resistance, and MIL-STD-810H compliance.</p>

<p><strong>Verdict</strong>: Apple wins with its luxurious design, larger display, and enhanced brightness, while Samsung offers better durability for rugged use.</p>

<h3><strong>Features and Compatibility</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="680" height="622" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/image-85.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-664337" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/image-85.png 680w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/image-85-300x274.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/image-85-459x420.png 459w" sizes="(max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px" /><figcaption>Samsung Galaxy Watch 7</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Apple leads in precision health tracking, offering ECG, SpO2, VO2 Max, water temperature sensing, and a second-gen UWB chip. It integrates deeply into the Apple ecosystem, delivering unmatched synergy for iPhone users.</p>

<p>Samsung focuses on practical health tracking with ECG, skin temperature monitoring, and blood pressure tracking via its BioActive sensor. It supports Android devices seamlessly and offers decent compatibility with iOS, making it a more versatile option for non-Apple users.</p>

<p><strong>Verdict</strong>: Apple’s advanced features and ecosystem integration are ideal for those already in the Apple ecosystem. Samsung’s broader compatibility makes it a better choice for Android users or mixed-device households.</p>

<h3><strong>Performance, Battery Life, and Connectivity</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="653" height="664" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/image-83.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-664335" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/image-83.png 653w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/image-83-295x300.png 295w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/image-83-413x420.png 413w" sizes="(max-width: 653px) 100vw, 653px" /><figcaption>Samsung Galaxy Watch 7</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The Apple Watch Series 10 is powered by the Apple S10 chipset, offering smooth performance and 64GB storage for apps and media. However, its 327mAh battery lasts just a day, though it charges quickly (0–80% in 30 minutes). Its second-gen UWB chip enhances location precision.</p>

<p>The Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 uses the Exynos W1000 chipset with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. Its 425mAh battery outlasts Apple’s, often reaching two days of use, and its 10W wireless charging is efficient. Samsung’s GPS includes dual-band (L1+L5) for better outdoor navigation.</p>

<p><strong>Verdict</strong>: Apple excels in processing power and storage, but Samsung’s superior battery life and versatile GPS make it more practical for extended use.</p>

<h3><strong>Price, Customization, and Ecosystem</strong></h3>

<p>The Apple Watch Series 10 comes at a<a href="https://geni.us/ThyOt" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow"> premium price of $819</a>, reflecting its high-end design and features. Its customization options include premium straps, though its proprietary system limits third-party choices.</p>

<p>The Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 is significantly <a href="https://geni.us/Yj69E12" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow">more affordable at $250</a>, offering excellent value. Its standard 20mm strap compatibility allows for a broader range of affordable customization.</p>

<p></p>

<p><strong>Verdict</strong>: Apple justifies its price for those seeking premium quality and seamless ecosystem integration. Samsung provides outstanding value for budget-conscious buyers looking for versatility.</p>

<h3><strong>Conclusion</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="734" height="630" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/image-84.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-664336" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/image-84.png 734w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/image-84-300x257.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/image-84-696x597.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/image-84-489x420.png 489w" sizes="(max-width: 734px) 100vw, 734px" /><figcaption>Apple Watch Series 10</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The Apple Watch Series 10 is the go-to for Apple users prioritizing luxury, cutting-edge health features, and top-tier performance. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 is ideal for Android users or those seeking a rugged, budget-friendly smartwatch with excellent battery life.</p>

<p>If budget isn&#8217;t a constraint and you are in the Apple ecosystem, choose the Apple Watch Series 10 for its premium features and integration. Otherwise, for a balance of features, value, and compatibility, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 wins.</p>

<p>As per rumors, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/?s=samsung">Samsung</a>’s Galaxy Watch 7 series is <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/03/25/samsung-galaxy-watch-7-storage-three-models/">expected to comprise of three models</a> instead of two indicating a shift in strategy. This is further solidified going by the company’s Q1 earnings call announcement. In a press release, the South Korean brand revealed important details about its wearables strategy.&nbsp;</p>

<h2>Samsung confirms premium Galaxy Watch models coming in the future</h2>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="720" height="700" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/galaxy-watch-4.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-616503" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/galaxy-watch-4.jpg 720w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/galaxy-watch-4-300x292.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/galaxy-watch-4-696x677.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/galaxy-watch-4-432x420.jpg 432w" sizes="(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px" /></figure></div>

<p>Samsung says that for wearables it aims to strengthen the Galaxy ecosystem experience through the expansion of new models and form factors like the Galaxy Ring. This suggests that the brand could indeed announce new models in the Galaxy Watch lineup although the exact naming scheme remains a mystery. The South Korean brand is said to be working on an affordable Galaxy Watch <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/04/08/samsung-galaxy-watch-2024-launch/">dubbed the Galaxy Watch 4 (2024)</a>. Additionally, a past report also hinted at the company going back to a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/03/12/samsung-might-soon-launch-a-rectangular-galaxy-watch-report/">rectangular smartwatch</a> in one of the upcoming Watch 7 series.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Samsung’s statement also indicates that it could launch more wearable devices in form factors like the Galaxy Ring. The press release also states that <em>“the company will strive to meet demand for upgrades through the launch of new premium models”. </em>Through the statement, we assume that the upgrades demanded by users will be implemented in the more premium Galaxy Watch models. The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is currently the premium offering. We could get a Pro or an Ultra model with the Galaxy Watch 7 series which is definitely a step up from the Classic.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Galaxy Watch 7 series and the Galaxy Ring are very much expected to debut at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Leaks and rumours have been picking up pace about the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/?s=samsung+">Samsung</a> Galaxy Watch 7 series. The lineup is <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/03/25/samsung-galaxy-watch-7-storage-three-models/">expected to comprise of three models</a> compared to two models indicating a shift in strategy. Now, a new report out of South Korea reveals a vital health tracking feature that could make its way into the upcoming wearables. The company’s SVP Hon Pak met with the Samsung Health advisory board members with the key discussion around blood sugar monitoring and the integration of AI into wearables. </p>

<h2>Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 rumored to get blood sugar monitor</h2>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="844" height="562" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Galaxy-Watch-Advanced-Sensor-Tech_main1-1.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-621398" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Galaxy-Watch-Advanced-Sensor-Tech_main1-1.jpg 844w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Galaxy-Watch-Advanced-Sensor-Tech_main1-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Galaxy-Watch-Advanced-Sensor-Tech_main1-1-768x511.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Galaxy-Watch-Advanced-Sensor-Tech_main1-1-696x463.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Galaxy-Watch-Advanced-Sensor-Tech_main1-1-631x420.jpg 631w" sizes="(max-width: 844px) 100vw, 844px" /></figure></div>

<p>As per the discussion, it is expected that Samsung may incorporate blood sugar (also called blood glucose) monitor in the upcoming Galaxy Watch 7 series. Many wearables including Apple are also reportedly working on the health tracking feature on their devices. This is because blood sugar monitors could help people with diabetes as well as those who are non-diabetic and want to pursue a healthy lifestyle. </p>

<p>Earlier in January this year, Hon Pak had hinted at the blood sugar monitoring on future wearable devices. This is because they are capable of measuring the parameter continuously. Additionally, they are also non-invasive which eliminates the need for skin piercing and extracting blood making it easier for patients. Therefore, blood sugar monitoring is expected to be a significant advancement on future wearable devices.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Samsung <a href="https://news.samsung.com/global/the-future-of-healthcare-fits-on-your-wrist">press release</a> does not mention the Galaxy Watch 7. But it increasingly seems likely that a blood sugar monitor will be present in the upcoming offering. It also remains to be seen if the South Korean brand will incorporate it on all models. The company may choose to classify the smartwatch as an electronic device instead of a medical device due to regulatory reasons.</p>

<p>Samsung’s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/04/26/samsung-unpacked-2024-july-paris-launch/">next Unpacked event</a> is expected to be held on July 10.</p>
