According to Roland Quandt, the new photo surfaced online about an upcoming rugged phone by Samsung does not represent the Samsung Galaxy S9 Active. This is why everyone is assuming that it may be the Samsung Galaxy Xcover 5.

From the photo, we can clearly see the upper half of the rear panel of the handset. The device has a tough and solid frame which should allow the device to resist drops from heights. Indeed, Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 is said to have the military certification (MIL-STD-810G), and it should also be waterproof and dust-resistant with the IP68 certification. On its rear panel, the alleged Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 has a single camera paired with a triple LED flash which should be very bright.

The photo does not come with the possible specs of the Samsung Galaxy XCover 5, but this line-up has always had midrange specs. So expect good quality-price ratio, even though rugged phones always have a more expensive price tag than normal Android phones with the same specs. Unfortunately, we still have no info about the release date of the device.
