Samsung has officially announced its latest rugged smartphone dubbed Galaxy XCover6 Pro. The Samsung Galaxy XCover6 Pro supports 5G connectivity and is as rugged as it can be. It features a removable battery, a 6.6-inch PLS LCD with FHD+ resolution, and a mid-range chipset.

The Galaxy XCover6 is a rugged and well-kitted smartphone. It has a 120Hz display refresh rate, increased touch sensitivity, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection. The phone can be operated with wet hands or when putting on a glove. It is rated IP68 for water and dust resistance, together with the MIL-810H industrial standard. The Galaxy XCover6 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 788G chipset and offers 5G connectivity. It also supports Wi-Fi 6E wireless connectivity and weighs 235g.

The camera setup of the XCover6 Pro includes a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 13MP selfie shooter. The selfie camera is located behind the waterdrop notch in the front. The RAM/ internal storage configuration of the Galaxy XCover6 Pro is 6GB/128GB. The internal storage is expandable via the microSD slot.

The Galaxy XCover6 Pro has a 4,050mAh removable battery which can be easily swapped. Up to 15W fast charging is supported for the Galaxy XCover6 Pro. The package does not include a charger for the smartphone, but a USC-C cable is included. There is a programmable push-to-talk button on the smartphone. The Galaxy XCover6 Pro will run on Android 12 together with OneUI. The phone comes with an improved speaker system and Samsung Dex. 

Samsung is yet to reveal the price of the XCover6 Pro but the phone is rumored to be priced around €600 (~$626). The Galaxy XCover6 Pro will be available starting July 2022 in select markets across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, with availability expanding to other regions at a later date.
