The Vivo X Fold Plus and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 have exactly the same form factor, with a big foldable display placed internally and a smaller external display for the moment in which you want to use these devices like normal phones. From an aesthetical point of view, I prefer the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 simply because it has a more minimalistic look: as you can see from the images of this device, its camera module is smaller and less invasive. But there are several people who prefer the amazing red color option of the Vivo X Fold Plus, very attractive due to its leather back. In each case, you are looking at very futuristic foldable phones and you won’t remain disappointed.

Display

The Vivo X Fold Plus and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 are equipped with foldable internal displays able to transform these phones into tablets. The internal displays are very similar in terms of specifications: they are AMOLED panels with Quad HD+ resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ certification, and very high peak brightness. But there are two important differences: the first is that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 has a smaller panel (7.6 inches vs 8.03 inches), while the second is the support for the S Pen on the Samsung foldable, while the Vivo does not support a stylus. The external display is better on the Vivo X Fold+: it is an OLED panel with a 6.53-inch diagonal, a Full HD+ resolution, and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Both devices are equipped with an in-display fingerprint reader.

But things have changed now. The newly launched Galaxy Z Fold4 and the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 are two of the best foldable smartphones that you can buy on the market. Given that the two companies announced their models almost around the same time, it makes complete sense to compare the two models.

Let’s take a quick look at the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 vs Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 comparison and see how they fare against each other.

Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 vs Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4

Design

The Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 feature an inward folding design. This means that both phones feature two displays. One is a large tablet-like display that folds inwards and there’s another external display for use in the folded state.

Given their similar design philosophies, we can directly compare the two foldable in the design department.

The Galaxy Z Fold4 comes with a more curved and rounded design, similar to its predecessor. On the other hand, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 adopts a boxier design profile, similar to the Galaxy Note series designs we’ve seen earlier. That said, both the phones look premium and polished for their prices with the Xiaomi foldable coming in standard black and gold colors, while the Samsung models adding in fancier Burgundy and Graygreen color options.

Another big difference is in the styling of the camera modules. The Galaxy foldable features a vertical camera module, housing its three cameras while the Xiaomi foldable comes with a rectangular camera module, featuring its three cameras. This gives the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 a more symmetric look than the Galaxy model.

As for its dimensions, the Xiaomi model does have an advantage here, being just 5.4mm thick in the tablet mode (vs 6.3mm on the Galaxy Fold 4). Even in the folded state, it is way thinner than the Galaxy model at 11.2mm (vs 14mm).

Notably, the Xiaomi model is larger than the Samsung one, thanks to its larger displays on both the front and the back. However, unlike the Samsung model, it does not come with stylus support, which is a shame.

There’s no clear winner in this department as both are well-built foldables on paper.

Display

Let’s start with their unfolded displays first. Thanks to its larger dimensions, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 brings a larger display compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 4. It features an 8.02-inch 1914 x 2160 foldable OLED panel with 120Hz refresh, HDR10+, Dolby Vision on the inside, and a 6.56-inch 1080 x 2520 resolution screen with a 21:9 ratio, 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ support on the outside.
In comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold4 features a 7.6-inch 1812 x 2176 HDR10+, 120Hz panel on the inside, and a 6.2-inch 904 x 2316 screen with a 23.1:9 aspect ratio, 120Hz refresh rate on the outside.

As you can see, both the displays boast top-end specs on paper, and it’s good to see both phones adding 120Hz refresh rate support on their internal and external screens. However, Xiaomi seems to have an advantage in terms of sizing and aspect ratio. If you look closely, the external display of the Xiaomi model features a standard aspect ratio of 21:9 which is not the case with Samsung’s 23.1:9 screen.

Both the models feature Ultra Thin Glass (UTG) protection on their foldable internal screen.

Finally, we can’t talk about foldable screens without really talking about creases. This is where the Samsung model could have the advantage with the company coming close to perfecting the art of limiting the visible crease on its display. Xiaomi also boasts of crease-less displays but Samsung seems to have the advantage here.

Specs & Software

The two foldables are evenly matched when it comes to the hardware. Both the models come with the 3.2GHz Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chip, which is the best smartphone chipset for Android phones in 2022. With options of up to 1TB of storage and 12GB of RAM on both models, they will never be short of power, be it for heavy gaming or running intensive apps. Even multitasking should be a breeze.

That said, the software is where the two phones should differ significantly. The Xiaomi model comes with Android 12-based MIUI Fold 13 OS. This is similar to the OS that runs on its smartphones with a few adaptations (like multitasking) for its foldable form factor.
On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Fold4 comes with a dedicated OS for large screens, giving it an edge. It features the Android 12L OS with OneUI 4.1.1 on top of it, adding tablet-specific features like Samsung Flex, making the experience a lot more productive and fun.

While in terms of processing power, both the phones are well matched, the software is one area where Samsung brings its rich experience in the field of foldables. This gives the Galaxy Z Fold 4 an edge in this department.

Camera

The camera is another department where the two phones are well matched.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 comes with a 50MP f/1.8 primary camera with OIS, another 10MP 3x telephoto zoom camera with OIS, and a 12MO ultra wide-angle shooter with 123˚ FoV. On the inside, the phone features a 4MP f/1.8 selfie shooter which is under the display. The Samsung model also adds another 10MP selfie camera on its cover display.
In comparison, the Xiaomi Mix Fold2 comes with a 50MP f/1.8 primary camera with OIS, 8MP 2x optical zoom telephoto lens and a 13MP 123˚ ultra-wide shooter. It features a 20MP selfie camera on the front.

As you can see, both the models feature a solid camera setup, comparable to the flagships of 2022. They even support up to 8K video recording.

Battery

It’s the year 2022 but foldable smartphones still lack large batteries. The Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 comes with an average 4500mAh capacity battery and 67W charging. On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Fold4 comes with a 4400mAh battery with 25W charging support.
However, the Galaxy foldable, like its predecessor, comes with wireless and reverse wireless charging support at 15W, which is absent on the Xiaomi model.

Price

The Galaxy Z Fold4 starts at $1,799.99/£1,649/€1,799 globally. On the other hand, the Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold 2 retails for around 8,999 yuan (~$1,335) in China. But you can get it globally via sites like Giztop for $1799.

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold4 brings multiple generations of refinements, making it one of the best foldables of 2022. However, the phone is still pretty pricey, especially when you compare it to the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2. In terms of hardware, they are pretty evenly matched, however, the Samsung model would have an advantage in the software department.

If Xiaomi makes the foldable available globally for a cheaper price than the Galaxy Z Fold4, it will make the foldable market a lot more interesting in the coming weeks.

Samsung is gearing up to launch its next generation of foldable smartphones at the Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for August 10. The company is expected to debut the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4 at this launch event.

Ahead of the launch, the alleged press release renders have already leaked for both the Fold 4 and Flip 4. Now, Samsung’s Care+ UK insurance site has revealed all the color and storage options of the upcoming foldables.

The Galaxy Z Flip4 will come in 128GB and 256GB storage sizes and is mentioned in blue, bora purple, graphite, and pink gold colors. Additionally, Samsung’s Bespoke customizer will provide a wide range of additional color possibilities, including options for the phone’s frame in the colors of black, silver, and gold, as well as the back panels in the hues of green, navy, red, yellow, and white.

The Galaxy Z Fold4 will come in 256GB and 512GB storage options and will be offered in beige, grey/green, and phantom black colors. Whether the device will offer bespoke customization choices is unknown.

Other than these smartphones, the listing also reveals details about the new Galaxy Watch5 series, which will also be making its debut on August 10. According to the Samsung Care+ site, the 40mm and 45mm sizes of the Galaxy Watch5 will be offered in graphite, silver, gold, and blue hues. The Samsung Watch5 will be available with Bluetooth and LTE connectivity choices. It will also come in two sizes and a single graphite color in a special Golf edition.

Samsung‘s upcoming foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 has just been certified by the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The smartphone bears the model number SM-F936U and is listed to feature Qualcomm’s Smart Transmit feature for improved uplink.

While the FCC listing doesn’t reveal much about the device, it shows that the smartphone will come with support for all sorts of networks, ranging from 2G to mmWave 5G. The Wi-Fi model will also get an upgrade bringing ax support. The FCC listing equally reveals the device will come with support for S Pen just like the Galaxy Z Fold 3.

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 4 alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 4 on August 4 but there is no official confirmation to that effect. If the space of certification, rumors, and leaks are anything to go by, there is no doubt that the launch is imminent. Aside from the FCC certification, the Z Fold 4 was recently spotted on GeekBench. Mock-up cases for both the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 were put up for pre-orders recently, further confirming that the launch is close by.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset paired with 12GB of RAM. The phone will also come with up to 1TB of storage while it will cram a 4,400mAh battery under the hood.

Earlier on, there were rumors that the Fold 4 will have a less-prominent crease than the fold 3 as well as a better camera setup. We expect the company to reveal the launch details soon.

The next-generation foldable smartphones from Samsung are rumored to debut on August 10, 2022. This includes the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4.

The Galaxy Z Flip 4 appeared on Geekbench last month, revealing the device’s key specifications. Now, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 has made an appearance on the benchmarking website.

The Geekbanch listing reveals that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 has the model number SM-F936U. It has an octa-core processor with one core clocked at 3.19 GHz, three cores clocked at 2.75GHz, and four cores clocked at 2.02GHz. The processor is paired with the Adreno 730 GPU making it pretty clear that the device houses a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.

Other than that, the listing reveals that the smartphone has 12GB of RAM and runs on Android 12-based operating system (OneUI 4.1). The listing does not reveal any other details, but thanks to an earlier leak by tipster Yogesh Brar, we already know what to expect from the device.

According to previous leaks, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will come with a 7.6-inch QXGA+ AMOLED inner panel and a 6.2-inch HD+ AMOLED panel for the outer screen. Both the outside and inside displays will offer a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset will come paired with either 12GB or 16GB RAM and will be available in 256GB and 512GB storage options.

For optics, the smartphone will have a triple camera setup on the rear headlined by a 50-megapixel primary sensor. It will be paired with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide unit and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x zoom. The inner screen camera will be a 16-megapixel under-display unit, and on the front, the device will have a 10-megapixel snapper. Other than that, the device is said to feature a 4,400mAh capacity battery with 25W fast charging and operate on Android 12-based One UI.

According to Yogesh Brar, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will come with a similar-sized 7.6-inch QXGA+ AMOLED inner panel like the current-gen Galaxy Z Fold 3, however, a recent protective case leak has revealed that it’ll have a better aspect ratio than the last-gen. On the outside, the device is said to bring a 6.2-inch HD+ AMOLED panel. Both the outside and Inside displays will offer a 120Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, the smartphone will house Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen Plus SoC which is built on TSMC’s industry-leading 4nm node and boasts up to 30% battery efficiency compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip. The chipset will come paired with either 12GB or 16GB RAM and will be available in 256GB and 512GB storage options.

For optics, the device will house a 50-megapixel primary sensor on the rear paired with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide unit and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x zoom. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3 were considered a massive success for Samsung, as well as for the foldables market in 2021. But it seems that Samsung has finally taken customer feedback to heart, as a recent electronics certification in China confirms that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4, the successor to the Galaxy Z Flip 3, will finally include support for faster 25W charging!

The data was extracted from the China 3C Consumer Safety Certification database, where it is revealed that two models of Samsung foldables are scheduled to arrive in the Chinese market later this year. The two models, in particular, bear the model numbers SM-F9360 and SM-F7210, which are respectively the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4. 

The listing reveals that both models will be made in Vietnam, will include 5G connectivity and most important of all, both models are confirmed to have 25W fast charging support. This news comes as a delight for those who held off buying the Z Flip 3 because with higher 25W charging, when you run low on battery, you need not wait too long to get your Z Flip 4 charged to start running errands throughout the day again.

Unfortunately, those are the only info revealed by the Chinese 3C certification listing. But since the device has been officially certified, we expect that more leaks and rumours regarding the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4 will arrive soon!

Samsung‘s upcoming devices like the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4, and Galaxy Watch 5 have all been subject to multiple leaks. The devices are expected to make their debut in the second half of 2022, however, they have already appeared on the BIS certification website.

According to a 91mobiles report,  the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4’s battery model numbers are EB-BF936ABY and EB-BF937ABY. On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Flip4 batteries have the model number  EB-BF721ABY, EB-BF722ABY, and EB-BF723ABY. Last but not the least, the BIS listing reveals that the Galaxy Watch 5 batteries will have EB-BR910ABY, EB-BR925ABY, and EB-BR900ABY model numbers.

The devices receiving BIS certification this early may indicate that Samsung plans to introduce them in India as soon as possible. So far, we know that the Galaxy Z Fold 4, which will be Samsung’s next foldable flagship will come with the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus SoC.

The camera sensors are also due for an upgrade and rumors suggest that the upcoming foldable will feature a 108MP primary camera and a 12MP ultra-wide lens. The device will also feature a better hinge and might come with a stylus slot.

Coming to the Galaxy Flip4, the device is also expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus chipset and a slightly bigger battery at around 3,400mAh. The next-gen Galaxy Watch is expected to come in three models codenamed Heart-S, Heart-L, and Heart Pro. They will operate on WearOS and the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro model is expected to come with a big 572mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 is the brand’s next foldable smartphone. A recent piece of news revealed the camera highlights of the smartphone shedding light on its ultra-wide-angle camera. Now, GalaxyClub has shared the alleged battery details of the Z Fold4.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 is said to come with dual-cell batteries. One of the battery cells will be rated at 2,002mAh while the other one will be a 2,268mAh cell. The total rated battery inside the Z Fold4 will be 4,270mAh.

Unfortunately and fortunately, this is the same rated battery as the predecessor Z Fold3. So expect the Z Fold4’s marketed battery to be the same as the Z Fold3. Why we say fortunately is because the news has it that the Z Fold4 will have a thinner design and improved camera hardware. To fit in the hardware, there needs to be some space, however, with the thin design, we expected even smaller batteries, but looks like that’s not the case. Despite the thinner design, the Z Fold4 has the same rated battery as the Z Fold3.

Apart from the batteries, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 is said to come with a 108MP primary camera. This sensor will be the same as the Galaxy S22 Ultra’s 1/1.33-inch unit. Furthermore, the secondary lens on the phone will, as you’d expect, be a 12MP ultra-wide lens. The third lens on the phone is said to be a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. Again, this sensor is touted to be the same as the S22 Ultra. As for the front optics, it will feature a 10MP selfie snapper.

Other rumors of the phone suggest the inclusion of the flagship – Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ SoC. It is also said to come with a stronger surface for using the S Pen.

In a recent tweet, tipster Dohyun Kim has revealed that the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold4 will come with a 108-megapixel primary camera. The camera sensor is said to be the same 1/1.33-inch camera sensor that is present in the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

Another tipster @Chunvn888 has added that the rear camera setup on the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold4 will be the same as the Galaxy S22 Ultra minus the periscope sensor. Instead, the device is expected to use the 10-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom that Samsung provides on the vanilla Galaxy S22.

Going by these reports, we can expect the Galaxy Z Fold4 to come with a 108-megapixel primary camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. A previous leak also revealed that the front camera on the upcoming foldable will be the 10-megapixel sensor featured in the vanilla S22.

It was reported last month that Samsung could be working on a “Super UTG” for the Galaxy Z Fold4. It is expected to offer a stronger surface for using the S Pen. Hence, there is a possibility that the regular S Pen may work on the Z Fold4. Other rumored improvements coming to the device include a dedicated S-Pen slot, an improved hinge, and the inclusion of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 plus chipset.

The South Korean giant is set to launch the next-generation Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 smartphone in the coming months. While the company is yet to officially confirm this, a lot of leaks related to the device have surfaced online.

In the latest leak, it is being reported that the Galaxy Z Fold4 will come with a single hinge design. This means that the company is cutting down on the movable parts on the smartphone to reduce the chances of mechanical failure and offer more durability.

The report adds that instead of using the extra reinforced wing hinges at the end, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 may have a single hinge, resulting in a thinner as well as lighter smartphone design. It is being said that the company will keep using KH Vatec as the primary supplier of the hinges.

Recently, a leak claimed that the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold-series foldable smartphone from the company will have a stronger material for the display which will enable it to support the regular S Pen stylus. It is expected to arrive with a more durable version of Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG), which could be marketed as the Super UTG.

Samsung is apparently planning to ship around 13 million units of the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4 smartphones in 2022, which is significantly more than the 7 million units shipped by the company for the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Flip3 last year.

A few weeks back, Samsung announced the Galaxy S-Series flagships for the year. Now, the company is reportedly gearing for the release of its foldable phones for this year, possibly called the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 and Z Flip4. Ice Universe has now tipped the chipset of these phones, and additionally, also revealed a third foldable device that could debut soon.

According to the tipster, Samsung will go with the yet-to-be-released Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus SoC for both the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Z Flip4. The new chipset will be made by TSMC and will be based on the 4nm process.

While this isn’t a surprise, what’s actually is, is the debut of a third foldable phone. The tipster says that Samsung is all set to release a third foldable phone. It will most likely be a scroll screen phone and is reportedly codenamed “Diamond”.

Although key details of this third foldable device are unknown, the tipster reveals that the phone could be launched in H2 2022. This scroll device is expected to be a rollable phone.

Samsung has showcased some major designs of such rollable devices in the past. This new scroll screen phone could employ a design from one of the company’s uncountable patents. Samsung is already strong in its display segment and is already pioneering in the same. However, there are a lot of challenges that the company could face with this technology. Now it remains to be seen, what actually do we see from the company later this year.

To recall, Oppo had showcased a prototype of a rollable/scroll screen phone back in 2020. The device is yet to be commercialized. In fact, no scrollable phone is yet commercial and selling successfully in the market. The upcoming Samsung scroll phone could be the new commercial rollable phone, who knows?

Samsung is working on releasing three new foldable devices this year, one up from the usual two. There’s the Galaxy Z Flip4 and the Galaxy Z Fold4 — which were quite expected — but joining them this time will be a mystery third device.

Galaxy Club has spotted three codenames corresponding to foldable devices, namely B4, Q4, and N4. The B4 is the Galaxy Z Flip4 and the Q4 is the Galaxy Z Fold4, which is quite easy to ascertain from codenames B3 and Q3 that represented the previous iterations of the two devices.

However, there’s also the N4 whose numbering implies that it’s yet another fourth-generation foldable, only Samsung hasn’t really ever released any foldable that wasn’t either a Fold or a Flip.

A patent that went public recently showed a radical foldable phone design with a display whose top-left part could wrap around all the way to the rear. When unfolded, this display transformed into an unconventional P-shaped form, opening up the possibility of use cases like videos in landscape mode on the upper part of the display and another app at the bottom.

However, without an official confirmation, it’s impossible to know for sure. Galaxy Club does say though that the development for the device is taking place on a scale that’s not so large as the B3 and Q3, indicating that it will not be launched as widely as the Z Fold4 and Z Flip4.

Last month, Samsung officially launched the Galaxy S-series flagship smartphones in the form of the Galaxy S22 lineup. Now, the company is gearing up to announce the next-generation foldable smartphones.

Ahead of any official announcement regarding the upcoming foldable smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 smartphone’s renders have surfaced online through the concept render designer Waqar Khan.

In terms of design, the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 4 continues with the book-like foldable design. The size of the internal display when the device is fully opened is 7.6-inch while externally, there’s a 6.2-inch screen.

The renders of the smartphone show the S Pen stylus but there’s no place on the smartphone to hold the S Pen. However, previous reports have indicated that the phone will come with a slot for holding the Samsung S Pen stylus.

The current generation Galaxy Z Fold 3 has support for S Pen Fold Edition and the S Pen Pro, however, the stylus needs to be bought separately and the device does not feature a dedicated silo to house the stylus inside its body.

On the other hand, the South Korean giant will also announce the Galaxy Z Flip 4 which is a clamshell foldable smartphone. It features a 1.1-inch external display for notifications and more and flips to open, offering a 6.7-inch smartphone with a tall and thin display.

As of now, not much is known about the upcoming foldable smartphones from Samsung but we expect to get information in the coming weeks and months. While the launch date is not yet known, the phones are said to go official in the second half of this year.

Samsung‘s latest launch event unveiled the Galaxy S22 Ultra which came with the much loved S Pen that was popularized by their iconic Galaxy Note series devices. But it appears that Samsung is not planning to keep the S Pen exclusive to the S22 Ultra as a recent report stated that the next Samsung foldable will also be getting a dedicated S Pen.

According to a report from TheElec, industry sources have informed that the South-Korean tech giant has decided to install an S Pen stylus in its upcoming foldable, dubbed the Galaxy Z Fold4. The device is also said to launch in the second half of 2022.

The current Galaxy Z Fold3 also offers support for S Pen Fold Edition and the S Pen Pro, however, the stylus needs to be bought separately and the device does not feature a dedicated silo to house the stylus inside its body. Galaxy Z Fold3 users usually install a back cover to their device to house the stylus on the outside.

Recent reports have revealed that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 outsold the Galaxy Z Fold3. With the integration of the S Pen inside the device’s body, Samsung is hoping to make it the spotlight feature of the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold4, driving up its sales numbers compared to the current model.

Other than that, the Galaxy Z Fold4 is expected to not come with any major design changes compared to the Z Fold3. The report has stated that the Galaxy Z Fold4 will have a 7.56-inch inner foldable display, while the external display is reported to measure around 6.19-inches. With new entrants like Huawei and OPPO, the competition in the foldable smartphones game sure is warming up. Samsung is the king of the hill no more, thanks to offerings like the OPPO Find N that sport more modern designs and also solve the crease problem to a degree. But the Korean company is reportedly already working on a sequel to last year’s Galaxy Z Fold3 — and fans are going big on expectations.

A couple of prominent smartphone concept creators just dropped their own takes on what the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 could look like, although both their renders look to be heavily inspired by the Galaxy S22 Ultra. The S22 Ultra is Samsung’s latest ‘superphone’ and comes with absolute top-of-the-line specs. It would therefore make sense for the Fold4 to inherit a similar design since it also is an ultra-premium flagship offering.

Ben Geskin’s Z Fold4 concept render retains the same form-factor as the device’s predecessor, with a narrow external display paired with a rectangular inner screen. The camera module has been changed completely though. The Galaxy Z Fold3 featured a single camera island housing three cameras and a flash, but the Z Fold4 render shows a camera system that looks almost identical to the S22 Ultra.

Apple Lab’s concept render looks very similar but goes for three rear shooters instead of four on the one from Ben. It also depicts three color options — black, white, and lavender.

Do keep in mind that Samsung is yet to provide any clues as to what the next iteration of its flagship foldable offering will look like, so the above renders are purely imagination-based. It is hence advisable to take them with a pinch of salt.

According to previous reports, the Galaxy Z Fold4 is expected to go live around Q3 2022. Not much is known about the device at the moment but tipsters have revealed that it will bring camera improvements, among other things.

According to previous reports, Samsung is gearing up to launch their next-gen Fold4 around Q3 of 2022 with improved cameras. And now, more leaks have surfaced, with the latest one claiming the smartphone won’t feature a dedicated slot for the S Pen.

As per tipster Lanzuk, it appears that the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold4, like its predecessor, may not feature an S Pen slot. The phone will still support a stylus but you may need a back cover to hold the S Pen like the current Galaxy Z Fold3.

The tipster previously reported that the Galaxy Z Fold4 will come with an improved Under display camera (UDC) on both the internal and external screens. The overall primary camera setup is also getting an upgrade to bring the Galaxy Z Fold4 on par with the camera quality offered by the current flagship in the market.

The rumored foldable smartphone is also expected to feature the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen1 (Snapdragon 898), with the same screen size and battery size (4,400mHz). The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 may also have a lower starting price.

With the tipped launch date being nine months away, it is still too early to tell what features the phone may or may not hold. So we advise all our readers to take these leaks with a pinch of salt.

With the significant improvements of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 over its predecessors, the Korean tech giant is looking to make it’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold4 even more appealing to premium consumers.

A Naver tipster, lanzuk, has revealed some of Samsungs plans for the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold4. In his blog post, the tipster revealed that Samsung is gearing up to launch their next-gen Fold4 around Q3 of 2022 with an improved Under display camera (UDC) on both the internal and external screens. The overall primary camera setup is also getting an upgrade to bring the Galaxy Z Fold4 on par with the camera quality offered by the current flagship in the market.

The Fold 4 may also get a new hinge which might reduce weight. The new hinge will also bring improved water resistance and a dust-resistant certification that was previously absent from the Galaxy Z Fold lineup.

The tipster also hinted that the display size and battery size (4400mAh) would remain the same as the previous generation. The Galaxy Z Fold4 is also rumored to have a lower starting price which Samsung will try to achieve by bringing down per unit cost with mass production. Samsung has previously announced to triple the production and sales of the Galaxy Z fold lineup in 2022. If these rumored improvements are true, the Galaxy Fold series could see a significant increase in popularity and customer base.
