Samsung has launched three gaming monitors in India. They are Odyssey OLED G8, Odyssey Neo G7, and Odyssey G7. The trio is already official in certain markets.

The aforementioned monitors fall under the premium segment. Therefore, they carry price tags matching their high-end specs.

The Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 sports a 34-inch curved OLED panel with a 1800R curvature. It offers a resolution of 3440 x 1440 pixels (QHD), a 175Hz refresh rate, and a 21:9 aspect ratio.

The screen supports 99.3% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and 0.1ms GTG response time. It comes with VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification and supports AMD FreeSync Premium.

On the other hand, the Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 flaunts a 43-inch/32-inch flat mini-LED panel. The screen arrives with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels (4K) and a 165Hz refresh rate. It supports VESA Display HDR600, HDR 10+, and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro

Finally, the Samsung Odyssey G7 sports a 28-inch IPS panel with support for G-sync. The 4K screen offers a 144Hz refresh rate.

These monitors carry the following price tags in India.

• Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 – ₹1,75,000
• Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 – ₹1,30,000 (43-inch) / ₹1,00,000 (32-inch)
• Samsung Odyssey G7 – ₹75,000

Samsung promised that the monitor will soon be available in European countries and the United States without specifying any dates.

The Odyssey Neo G7 43″ gaming monitor from Samsung has an expected retail price of €1,619 in the Eurozone, but is currently being offered for €1,399, which represents a discount of €220. As an added bonus, pre-orders come with a pair of Galaxy Buds2 Pro earbuds worth €199.

Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 specs

The Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 43″ monitor boasts a Quantum Mini-LED display with a resolution of 3,840 x 2,160, a 16:9 aspect ratio, and a fast refresh rate of 144 Hz with a 1 ms response time. It also offers VESA-certified DisplayHDR 600 and an impressive 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio.

In terms of connectivity, the monitor has two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4 port, and two USB 3.0 connections. It also features 20 W stereo speakers.

Additionally, the Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 has a built-in Samsung Gaming Hub streaming tool and supports AMD’s FreeSync Premium Pro software for smoother gameplay. With OTT integration, the 43″ monitor can be used for various services, like Netflix, without a PC or TV connection.

At the end of December, Samsung unveiled its first mini-LED flat gaming monitor. The product is officially called Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 43″ (G70NC).

It was first made official in the company’s home country South Korea, followed by Taiwan. Today, in an official press release, the electronics giant has revealed (via SamMobile) the monitor’s global availability.

Samsung says that its latest one-of-a-kind gaming monitor will be available across several global markets starting in Q1 2023. Unfortunately, the company does not mention the regions and the exact availability dates since they will vary across countries.

As a result, we don’t have any information on the global pricing yet. We urge you stay tuned to the official announcements from the local wings of Samsung for further details.

Talking about specifications, the monitor flaunts a 43-inch flat quantum mini-LED panel with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels (4K) and up to a 144Hz refresh rate (AMD FreeSync Premium Pro). The screen has a 16:9 aspect ratio and supports up to 400 nits peak brightness level.

The panel offers up to a 1ms MPRT response time and a 178° viewing angle. It comes with support for HDR standards, such as VESA Display HDR600 and HDR10+ Gaming.

The monitor arrives with multiple ports, like 1 x DisplayPort 1.4, 2 x HDMI 2.1, 2 x USB 3.0, and 1 x Ethernet. It also comes with WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, and 2 x 20W speakers.

Samsung has recently launched multiple Samsung Odyssey high-end gaming monitors in the global market. Whether it be the Odyssey Ark 55-inch 4K monitor in India or the Deagon Knight G7 32-inch monitor in China, which is expected to launch as an Odyssey G7 series monitor in the global market soon.

Adding to the vast lineup, the brand has unveiled a new high-end 43-inch gaming monitor in its domestic market of South Korea called the Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 (G70NC) model. Currently, only a release date for Korea, which falls on January 2, has been announced; however, there are plans to debut the new 43-inch Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 gaming monitor at CES 2023 before moving through with a wider global launch, including the North American market.

The Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 (G70NC) has a price tag of 1.25 million won (US$982) in Korea, however, the US and European pricing are expected to be higher when the monitor eventually launches in these markets.

As for specs and features, the monitor comes with a Quantum Mini-LED display with a 3,840 x 2,160 resolution, a 16:9 aspect ratio, a refresh rate of 144 Hz, and a response time of 1 ms. The Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 also features VESA-certified DisplayHDR 600 capability and a high 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio.

The 43-inch Odyssey Neo G7 display has two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4 port, and two USB 3.0 connections for connectivity. The flat-screen device includes 20 W stereo speakers.

The monitor’s built-in Samsung Gaming Hub streaming tool supports AMD’s FreeSync Premium Pro software for more fluid gameplay. Thanks to OTT integration, the 43-inch Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 gaming monitor can also be utilized for a variety of services (like Netflix) without a linked PC or TV.
