<p><span style="font-weight: 400">The previous report on the Galaxy XCover 5 by </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400">GalaxyClub</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400"> said it to come with model number SM-G501B. But now, the same publication reveals that </span><a href="https://www.galaxyclub.nl/nieuws/samsung-galaxy-xcover-5-heeft-modelnummer-sm-g525f-vooralsnog-zonder-5g/"><span style="font-weight: 400">it will be not the case</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">According to this device’s </span><a href="https://twitter.com/yabhishekhd/status/1353935071082815489"><span style="font-weight: 400">Geekbench listing</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">, it will bear the model number SM-G525F. Above all, it will come with 4G and not 5G as expected earlier. As of now, it is not sure if there is a 5G variant. If it exists, we can expect it to sport the model number SM-G526B.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">That said, the new rugged smartphone from Samsung will be powered by the company’s own </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/05/30/samsung-exynos-850-is-a-new-8nm-chipset-for-budget-smartphones/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Exynos 850 SoC</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> paired with 4GB RAM. This chipset has scored 182 points and 1148 points in Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests respectively. Whereas, for software, the phone will run </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Android-11/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Android 11</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Nothing else is known about this handset apart from the above-mentioned parameters. But we expect to learn more about it before it goes official sometime in the near future.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Lastly, as far as the device with model number SM-G501B is concerned, </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400">GalaxyClub</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400"> suggests that it could be the Galaxy S21. Because </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Samsung/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Samsung</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> is known for faking the Galaxy S series phones with different model numbers while benchmarking them.</span></p>
