<p>Since we are still in the early months of 2025, there are plenty of notable announcements like the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-z-fold-7/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7</a><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-z-flip-7/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> and Galaxy Z Flip 7</a> to look forward to. But there are also plenty of devices that are reaching the end of their official support. Since we can&#8217;t cover every model right now, here&#8217;s a list of all Samsung Galaxy phones whose support ends this year. So let&#8217;s check it out.</p>

<h2>What is the end of support?</h2>

<p>Samsung offers one of the longest software support for its devices, especially the flagship smartphones. The latest Galaxy S25 series is a great example as they come with 7 years of promised OS updates. In other words, the flagship phones will get One UI or Android upgrades till 2032. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Samsung-Galaxy-S20-Galaxy-S20-Plus-Galaxy-S20-Ultra-Featured-1024x576.jpg?x10805" alt="Samsung Galaxy S20 Galaxy S20 Plus Galaxy S20 Ultra Featured" class="wp-image-356273" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Samsung-Galaxy-S20-Galaxy-S20-Plus-Galaxy-S20-Ultra-Featured-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Samsung-Galaxy-S20-Galaxy-S20-Plus-Galaxy-S20-Ultra-Featured-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Samsung-Galaxy-S20-Galaxy-S20-Plus-Galaxy-S20-Ultra-Featured-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Samsung-Galaxy-S20-Galaxy-S20-Plus-Galaxy-S20-Ultra-Featured-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Samsung-Galaxy-S20-Galaxy-S20-Plus-Galaxy-S20-Ultra-Featured-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Samsung-Galaxy-S20-Galaxy-S20-Plus-Galaxy-S20-Ultra-Featured-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Samsung-Galaxy-S20-Galaxy-S20-Plus-Galaxy-S20-Ultra-Featured.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Samung Galaxy S20 (left), Samsung Galaxy S20+ (center), and Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra (right)</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>But once this period ends, the South Korean tech giant will no longer receive support in terms of software updates. So now, let&#8217;s check out the list of Galaxy smartphones whose support ends in 2025:</p>

<ul><li>Samsung Galaxy A02s</li><li>Samsung Galaxy A12</li><li>Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G</li><li>Samsung Galaxy S20 FE</li><li>Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G</li><li>Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra</li><li>Samsung Galaxy S20+ 5G</li><li>Samsung Galaxy S20+</li><li>Samsung Galaxy S20 5G</li><li>Samsung Galaxy S20</li><li>Samsung Galaxy W21 5G (Re-branded version of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G in China)</li></ul>

<p>To recall, all of these smartphones launched around 2020. The Galaxy A02s, Galaxy A12, and Galaxy W21 5G have already reached the end of support in January 2025. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S20 series have a little more time.</p>
