Samsung announces new 2023 range of Q and C series of soundbars

Samsung has just announced its latest range of HW-Q and HW-C series of soundbars. The company has already launched some S series model in markets like India, and now, the brand has unveiled a couple of new soundbars in North America. These launches also arrive mere days after the company announced the new 98 inch 4K Q80Z TV with miniLED technology.

Samsung Q Series Soundbars

The South Korean tech giant’s HW-Q990C is its flagship class soundbar that is designed to offer a great audio listening experience thanks to its surround sound tech powered by Dolby Atmos. IT offers 11.1.4 channel audio and can even sync up with Samsung TV speakers for multi channel performance. This model also features Q Symphony 3.0 technology for improved audio, while it also offering voice control and can even be controlled via WiFi or SmartThings device. The HW-Q900C offers 7.1.2 channel along with Wireless Dolby Atmos for improved depth and clarity.

It even offers SpaceFit Sound Pro that can optimize audio automatically based on the room. Meanwhile, the HW-Q800C also supports Dolby Atmos but has 5.1.2 channel and can even adapt sound profiles based on the room as well. Lastly, there are also HW-Q700C, HW-Q600C, and HW-Q60C models that offer the high end Q Symphony technology as well. Furthermore, these soundbars feature user friendly innovations like Adaptive Sound that helps optimizes audio for dialogue, and Game Mode Pro that helps improve audio during gameplay.

Samsung C Series Soundbars

Alongside the Q series, Samsung also announced the Samsung C series that includes two new models, namely HW-C450 and HW-C400 soundbars. The former is a 2.1 channel soundbar that also arrives with a subwoofer that offers Bass Boost for a bass enhancements with just a single touch. Additionally, the C series soundbars can connect seamlessly with TVs via Bluetooth and also support useful features like Game Mode, Adaptive Sound Lite, and a Night Mode that helps reduce volume automatically and compress the bass to ensure that other people in your home aren’t disturbed.

Apart from the C series, there is also new soundbar models that join their existing S series soundbars. These include the new HW-S800B Ultra-Slim Soundbar that have a height and depth of less than 2 inches. This enables it to offer a minimalistic design despite its compact form factor and an all-in-one speaker format. These soundbars are also Dolby Atmos enabled and deliver 3.1.2 channel. On the other hand, the regular HW-S800B model that is built to seamlessly blend into the room it is placed in. It arrives with a 6.5 inch subwoofer and an 8 inch built in passive radiator for additional depth.

Pricing & Availability

The higher end Q series model start for a price tag of 619 US Dollars for the HW-Q700C model. Meanwhile, the HW-Q800C and HW-Q990C model cost 799 US Dollars and 1,599 US Dollars respectively. Lastly, the HW-C450 model will go for 169 US Dollars, while the HW-C400 will be available for 139 US Dollars. The new 2023 lineup of soundbars can be purchased via the official website in North America as of today, with global roll out set to follow soon.

Samsung has launched its 2022 Soundbar lineup in India. The launch coincides with this year’s World Music Day and there are some great soundbars on offer. Importantly, the lineup consists of soundbars with in-built wireless Dolby Atmos.

The 2022 Samsung Soundbars with wireless Dolby Atmos will deliver a seamless connection to Samsung TVs. They feature Q-Symphony, SpaceFit Sound Advance, and dtsX for a unique sound experience. The lineup comprises Samsung’s flagship Q series and the S series. They offer 3D audio for an all-round home entertainment experience. The models in the lineup include the Samsung Soundbar 200W S61B, Soundbar 330W S801B, Soundbar 360W Q600B, and the top-rated Soundbar Q990B.

The Q series Soundbars come with the record of featuring wireless Dolby Atmos. This means that you can enjoy high-octane audio from the soundbar with a Wi-Fi connection. The Q-Symphony feature enables the Soundbar to synchronize with the compatible Samsung TV’s speakers and output great sounds. The S series Samsung Soundbars come as slim as you can get them. The company says the S801B is the world’s slimmest soundbar and it is 60% slimmer than regular soundbars.

The 2022 Samsung Soundbars in India are available from Samsung’s official online store, as well as online and offline retail outlets in the subcontinent. The least-priced model is the S61B at Rs. 24,990 (~$320) and the most expensive is the Q990B at Rs. 99,990 (~$1,280). The Samsung 2022 lineup of Soundbars offers options to a wide array of the market. They were fittingly released on a day of celebration of music.

Samsung Electronics is a global leader in the soundbar segment of the home appliances market. According to global market research firm Future Source, Samsung had accounted for almost a quarter of global sales for seven consecutive years. In its domestic market of South Korea, Samsung’s soundbars heavily dominate that segment of the market, and this is set to continue with a new set of soundbar offerings.

Both the Samsung Soundbar HW-Q950A and the HW-Q900A offer a superior sound output with a clutch of additional features and functionality and several stunning and vivid sound effects. The improved SpaceFit Sound+ feature with an Auto Equalizer provides a richer sound experience for users.

The Q-Symphony function enables a seamless synergy between the TV and the soundbar so that there is no lag in the audio output from the device. Both devices could make their entry into the global market soon.

Samsung Soundbars HW-Q950A will retail for 1.89 million won (about $1,700) in Korea while the HW-Q900A model is priced at 1.39 million won (about $1,250). The company is yet to release the launch itinerary for the global market.

Samsung was world’s no.1 soundbar brand from 2014 to 2019

Samsung has been the world’s no.1 TV company in terms of shipments for 14 successive years. Now, according to a FutureSource, a market research firm, the South Korean electronics giant was also the world’s no.1 soundbar brand from 2014 to 2019.

As per the report, Samsung’s market share in the soundbar market in 2019 was 21.8% based on the amount and 16.5% by quantity. The difference between the second top brand was about 8% in terms of amount. The South Korean tech conglomerate is expected to retain its position this year as well.

Lately, Samsung Electronics launched its 2020 Q series lineup of soundbars. They come with Q-Symphony technology, which won the highest innovation award at CES in January. The 2019 models like ‘HW-Q90R’ and ‘HW-Q80R’ were among the best-received soundbars by both customers and media in the US and Europe. Samsung predicted the global soundbar market to exceed 18.78 million units in 2019 and also anticipates it to cross 20 million in 2022.

“We will remain the world’s no.1 in the tv and soundbar market due to the competitiveness of audio technology accumulated over the years”, boasts Cho Sung-hyuk, managing director of Samsung Electronics’ video display business.
